Well, I got my L3's today and installed them in the kicks. I will give a very small review today on them and explain some stuff about them. They are 3in drivers with a good frequency range from 150hz to 10khz. Wide range and small driver that can do IB. I have mine sealed in a kick panel. Right now i've done a sine sweep on it from 20-20khz. The driver was hooked to a CDT SATNet 480 crossover so it only played to about 5khz or so. Driver didn't like anything below 120hz not saying it won't play it but it wasn't liking it from some of the sounds. Ok, Which 15"s would you recommend for SPL in a Blowthrough? First of all, the box options, there is a "3 Chamber, Single Reflex Bandpass" http://www.the12volt.com/12voltimages/bpass3cham.gif but i saw somewhere that when they are firing at each other, there will be much noise cancellation... So what would be the other ways for a blowthrough? But second, what sub would you recommend? For a budget under $300 per sub which is the best spl sub out there that will work good in ^^ whichever box...? It will be as a daily driver, but just high spl levels. Would sundown be best for power? For keeping a slightly low price?

"To low of amp wattage will cook the sub" is what ive heard a few times and always thought that it was false. I have normally under powered my subs and never had a problem, not even on installs for other people and never a problem at all. Just want to hear what other people have to say?

Nothing more than minor cuts, scrapes, and pinches here - mainly from removing panels. Sliced my finger somewhat with a utility knife once, wasn't fun. Anyone else have any other interesting injuries sustained during installation? - Steve

Sorry about this really really , noobish question but i was doing research and couldn't find this answer out myself. Is it possible to wire up the left REAR channel of the amp to one voice coil and the other voice coil to the right REAR channel of the amp to get the 250rms per channel @ 4 ohm. to equal 500rms. or since the amp is brigdable , wire both voice coils together and bridge them into one channel? Hi guys, I bought a PAC Audio adapter to "add an amp" to my factory stereo. The adapter runs around $100 from the PAC site, so I did a little price checkin' around the net. I found a great deal on ebay for $75. shipped from a car dealership out of New York. So I ordered. Everything arrived great, got it installed, and started tweeking the amp. Everything worked great for 2 weeks, when all of a sudden the PAC part burned up. I contacted PAC and they told me they can't help me because I bought it from a NON-AUTHORIZED DEALER. Ok so I get spiffs at my job when I sell certain products and I got some AMex gift card to spend. The bad thing is I can only use them at certain places. Whenever I'm blasting my sub my fuse will blow in less than a minute. I'm running 80amp AGU fuse with 4 gauge wires and a PPI 2200 amp. What could cause this? Is there anyway I can fix this problem? I have a Pioneer AVH-P3200BT and was hoping to get some input from everyone on three specific things. 1. The story is, i start my car let it idle and warm up. When i start listening music, then car idle drops ? is my system taking that much power so it drops my car idle ? Or how can i fix that problem?

I'm looking for some seleniums to put in my truck. I want two selenium horns and maybe selenium midbass drivers and supertweeters to put in my doors. I've looked at parts express but there doesn't seem to be a big variety If anyone knows a good website or dealer? And is It worth to look at horns under $100?

Just wondering how your sa-8s perform in your extra cab midsize to fullsize trucks. Installed a single sa-8 into a x-cab 2008 F-150, .75ft^3 tuned to 33ish with i think either 10 or 13.3 sq inches of port area (im a noob at sub enclosures). The box came out perfect and right on spec. Not satisfied with the results, the tuning sounds good and it sounds good musically but it just doesnt get loud enough, gets 1/4-1/3 as loud as it does in my friends car. Tested it on 2 different amps at 4 ohms, zx400.1 and kx1200.1. so it was getting 200rms first then 400+. small difference in output. First my previous system was; (2) 12 inch Powerbase Extreme Subwoofers (About 800 Watts RMS Each) (1) Elemental Designs NINe.1 amp (1200 RMS at 14v) I sold my turbo g35 and now have a 2006 Dodge Charger (Ya it has a hemi ) I listen to Rap, Hip Hop, and R&B.
