pro60 crossover, the bass from the 15" treo ssx did this...i just soldered it back on, tested it, it worked, put my door panel back on, and it broke again. only the tweet plays. i think it came loose when i shut my door. i guess im gonna have to relocate the crossovers......which means running more wire....

If god permits, next year i'll be in pharmacy school living with and leeching off my aunt/uncle. I hope to put a HT setup in and will use the subs i already have (for a start). My question is which should i use. I have the two 15" atlases and the 1 15" avalanche. I'm not sure how much different HT is from car audio, so i'll put my speculations and you all can feel free to correct me. two atlases will have more than enough output i'm sure. But won't get as low as the Avalanche. The avalanche will get low, but not as much output. Also I imagine an amp for the atlases would be easier to come by. (300W @ 4ohm vs 800W @ 4ohm) So my question is for HT is lows needed mo…

Ok so, I have 2 hdc3 18's and 2 bc2ks. The bc2k's will be running at .6 each. I am planning to run them at 14cubes at 36hz. I want it to have just a tad more lower end. Will running about 2500rms per sub be ok for that box size?

  19. After being out of car audio for a couple years now, I got the bug again. I recently bought a 2004 Toyota 4Runner and have factory speakers all the way around. The only upgrade I have done is install an Alpine CDE-W265BT. The drivers door speaker is making noises, and there are some annoying rattles that need to be addressed. I figured while I try to find the annoying rattles and replace the blown speaker, I will do some proper deadening and install a new front stage. This system will be for casual listening. No competitions and I don't care a tone about getting really loud. Sound quality ismy number one priority. So here's what I have and my initial id…

Instead of cutting a hole for a terminal cup I plan on running a 1/4 inch or so bolt through the side of my sub box. My question is, what type of bolt would be best for power/signal transfer? -Standard Steel -Stainless Steel -Brass -Aluminum -Chrome -Grade 8 Steel -Copper (not sure I can find it) There is just so many options and I don't know what to choose. Thanks All

what are your guys top picks for covering your boxes?? I've seen a lot of people using like...truck liner spray. Is this easy to do? or what are your tricks for carpeting a box? Favorite places to buy the carpet? i'm mainly more itnerested in the truck liner idea. I like the idea that it gives, but i've only seen the more professional areas do it. How hard is it for an average box builder?

Denim will be excited I've posted this I've got a 03 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab now, and my Explorer is being driven by my Dad. It's a long story as to why that is, if you care to know PM me. Anyway, I had 2 RE8's in a custom ported box in my X, which will in no way fit in the quad cab of the Ram. Aside from that, we have a 3 week old infant who of course requires a car seat, so rear seat functionality must be maintained. The only thing I can think of is to measure out the area beneath the seats and somehow cram the subs under there, facing out, perhaps angled back. I figure with 8's I should be able to pull this off. The only thing is that I do believe RE's function …
