i don't know if this gets posted hear but hear it goes i have an L7S15 hooked up to Pyle / pla4478 that is hooked to a atoto/ SA102 deck the speakers are hooked from the doors to the deck not to the amp the problem that i am having is when i am playing music loud the doors speakers cut out but the bass dose not you can still hear the bass so i have to close the music app an reopen it do get audio to come back through the doors when its playing its playing it sounds good an plays great but all the sudden audio stops and bass keeps playing any help would be great i don't know if this helps but it happens through apple car play

Hello all, i have a large project on my hands. I've been commisioned(somewhat) to build a box for a 12" Orion H2. Now, the box is gonna be 2.5 cubes tuned to 32 hz. Now, for those of you who own mustangs, you know how small the trunk opening is(this kid has a mustang cobra, not the newest body style, but one from probably the late '90s) and i just need all the tips i can get on putting this box in. Most likely i'm going to have to build it IN the trunk, so any tips will be greatly appreciated. Unless you guys know of another way to get a box big enough in there. Well, I usually stay away from all the local shops, there about 5. But I was bored so I went around yesterday to see whats new. Theres one shop thats actually pretty knowledgeable/cool. A old guy at Autosoundaddiction(VERN) We were sitting around talking, this kid comes in with a 15" Team RF fosgate(sweet SPL 4hp sub) the dustcap was loose, but he was sure it needed to be sent to the factory for "repairs" Tested the coils, their fine. my question is which subwoofer would be better for me the ssa xcon or the sundown nightshade,my setup will be running off a saz 3500.Now i have heard the xcon`s there great woofers but i have never heard the nightshades.Its a dodgr charger daily driver.It will be 12 inch woofers unless i can squezze 15`s in my trunk..Thanks for any help.

Ok, so I've done a lot in car audio, and have used a dmm to set gains before, but it was a cheap one from radio shack and i don't feel it was really worth crap even using. Never blown any speakers, but also know I've never had a perfectly correctly set gain on an amp. I just do it by "feel", "sound" and performance. natural abilities you may say, complete crap you may even say! lol but hey it's worked so far but i'm tired of trusting myself. What oscilloscope has anyone used? know of? how much? where? and what will do the trick/be best for setting gains? Thanks in advance i'm very interested!

Ok I promised a tuturial on how to package a heavy item so here it is. I recently had a pair of Shocker Sig Motors ( 80lbs Each) shipped to me. I explained to the shipper my technique and once again it worked flawlessly. Motors before shipment First thing you need to do is locate a box that is around 2-3 inches larger than the item you are packaging all the way around. Then you stuff the bottom of that box with a layer of foam pool floats (yes the kind like this) after stuffing the bottom full of noodles sit the item you are shipping in the box and fill the sides with pieces of foam. Okay so here are my plans new enclosure for my rebuild. Below is a picture of the single icon 12 I currently have and it's enclosure which is 14x14x34... 2.4 cubic feet. , tunned at 29.5.. I plan on adding a second 12. And building a Aero ported enclosure ..and the box specs also shown in the link below.. Hey all It seems the general consensus is to use 14"-16" or port area per cube for slot ports, and that flared round ports (aka aeroports) are recommended @ 8"-12" per cube... Now I was thinking about fabricating a port out of Sonotube or the like, and possibly creating some flared ends using fiberglass... What would be a good port area to shoot for? I was figuring if I used a 10" tube that would give me ~78in² Av which for a 6.5ft³ enclosure after displacements nails it right at 12" per cube. For an 18" driver. Thanks

We have a place in York PA (eastern PA right above the MD/PA border) that we can do it at right now. But we might change the location to a place like Wilmington DE. Kinda in a dellema ATM. So my 2 front speakers blew the other day (jbl got 628's 2-ways) so I put the factory ones back in until I figure out what to do. Thing is I got em from best buy and they no longer carry any car audio (in Canada anyways) so they sent me to future shop for a replacement (I bought a warranty so I get a free swap). Annddd future shop doesn't carry those speakers butt they can swap them for something else. So I'm not really sure what to do. Im kinda on the fence on switching to components (leaning more to the I don't wanna side) and am going to buy a 4 channel amp soon.
