I have a 15" SSA Xcon I am looking for a box for. I don't have the time or resources to build a box myself. I was wondering if anyone here can recommend a pre made box for this sub, or direct me to someone who can build one for me. Thank you for your time.

Hi again today ! I just want to know why so much people here run there amp at 1 ohms. Isn't it to hard for the car electrical system ? I have heard it is better to play at 4 ohms than 2, and 2 ohms is better than 1. What do you think, because I would like to buy an amp for my next sub. I need to choose between the DVC 1 or DVC 2 on a SSA Icon 15, and only after that, I will be able to pick a Sundown amp. Do you guys know how to have a good deal on a package sub + amp ? (SSA Icon 15 + Sundow, or other). Thanks for your help

So I finally figured out roughly what I will be doing, probably a single 15" BL ported. How should I position these in my trunk. I know the typical is subs and ports facing the rear of the car. More than likely I will almost always have the back seats down, should this affect the way I point my subs and port. Should I go subs facing forward with port foward if my seats are always down, or subs facing the rear of the car and port facing the front of the car. Thanks for the help and patience with me.

Hey guys. Just thought I`d let you know what`s happening in the U.K. SPL scene. Any M.E.C.A. members on here? We at TEAM SOUTH EAST have just hosted the U.K.s first ever M.E.C.A. event. After a few complications with the computer we started late. But we all had fun!! I competed with just half my system working (2 amps & 1x 15" sub). Did quite well though. Over 150dB Here are the LOUDEST competitors in their classes, that competed. S/RSPL SR - Street: S1: Lee - 144.2dB S2: Corsa Boy - 143.9dB S3: Troublestarter - 144.6dB S5: Mega Heavy Bass - 150.4dB M/RSPL MR - Modified: M3: Adz - 133.7dB M6: GULA - 153.1dB (The U.Ks LOUDEST M.E.C.A. competitor) I th…

Hi All, After a year of bassless sadness, I am getting to a place to be able to set up another system. Right now, my current research leads me to an SSA ICON (12" or 15" though leaning towards a 12"), FI Q Series, or Sound Qubed. I am also open to other brands or recommendations. My last system was two Sound Qubed HDS 3 10's and a Skar Monoblock 2200w Amplifier. I sold this system but still have the external audio battery to use. I have also had SSA DCON's in the past which I loved. I was reading online that SQ's products don't compare to SSA or FI. What would be the best subwoofer to go with for a single sub setup? Ideally, I am looking for sound quality more t…

Sold my Sundown Audio SA-10's and looking at upgrading to a single 12" or 15" SSA Zcon. Not sure I can fit 4 cubes for the 15, but can probably fit in 3 cubes. What would be louder, the 12" be in 2.5 cubes or the 15" in 3 cubes? Either sub would be ran off a Sundown Audio saz2500d.

This my current situation: 2006 Honda Accord coupe, stock everything. I plan on keeping the stock door speakers and just adding a subwoofer. I have: Pioneer DEH-p6000 headunit Sundown SAE-1000D amp SSA 10" Icon Subwoofer I had everything hooked up in my xterra, but recently sold that and bought the accord. This is what the radio/climate control area looks like The only adapter I have found is this for ~$150 which I think looks pretty bad. Ignore the lower headunit in that picture. I am thinking about just buying an AUX or Ipod input for music, and staying with the stock headunit. I did some research, and it seems like a line out converter would allow me to hook up m…

So I used to have my quad stereo speaker setup for my home wired in parallel and then I was re-doing things and I always noticed it lacked any bass, so I thought it was maybe because i was creating a 12-ohm setup for my 8 ohm stereo. So I rewired it so I would be creating a 6-ohm setup which did improve my bass response. But when I did this my rear speakers got about 3-5db quieter which is good to me because they have a higher sensitivity so they tended to drown out the front anyways. But I am wondering why would my front speakers being wired in the beginning of the series setup be louder now? And if this is how it works wouldn't wiring a dual voice coil in a series caus…

yes, I know kicker isn't a real high end brand but i got an excellent deal on 2 12 inch L5s and a kenwood kac 9152D 900 rms mono amp. the guy i bought them from built a very piss poor box out of subflooring material and basically gestimated a slotted port dimension. the box performs about as well as a dual brand bandpass box. he was using a head unit with a very good EQ and in his integra the drivers performed well all things considered. in my jeep however, they only operate (I'm guessing here) in the 50 to 65 hz range well and only give me a bit of a hum in the low range. now, I know you can still get a good low end response out of a set of 12s. I've witnessed this. I've…

My girl leased a new Rav4, and looking to make some changes to the factory stereo. Keeping the stock touch screen HU, and want to keep everything as factory looking as possible (drop in speakers, no cutting/custom) in the chance we turn it in at the end. In the title I put "reliable" as, there is a good chance we will buy this at the end of the lease and have it a long time. My back isn't so great, so Id like to do this once, and have it last. I have a couple sets of Crescendo CCX65s that Ive had since 2011. They were only used for about 18-20 months though, (only 4 months amped at 60w). The surrounds are loose, they don't sound as good as they did, there is rust on/aro…
