OK, I know I'm impatient, and I'm not saying SSA is taking too long, I'd rather wait for something that is going to be this awesome versus them rushing and giving me something that might fall apart. But, I was just curious the average time people waited to get their sub. 21+ days could mean 2 months for all I know. I'm trying to keep myself busy right now getting wires pulled and the box built, and hopefully time will pass faster. I'm just hoping the 14 days i've waited so far means I'm half way done:)

you guys think its worth rewiring the factory wires on the door speakers with new 16 or 18g?..do they all have to be wired to the front and then to the back ?..do they have to be wired together on a specific side for noise reduction?..thanks for the help i curently have them wired to the hu will be putting a 100 watts into each of them with a 400.4

Hey guys the SAX1200 has 4awg terminals and I was hoping to run 1/0 for the power & ground. What is the best/most direct way to get the 1/0 to fit in the terminals? Thanks.

OK, my 18 Btl is on its way for my grand am. the alternator is a 105 amp alternator. so im not sure WHAT im going to need, just that most likely i will to power it suffeciently. I got the BTL fully loaded with everything, and this is my daily driver car. Current Funds-900-1000$ Purchased: Fi BtL 18 here are the Amps i am looking at. Hifonics BXI2008-275$ shipped or a KICKER ZX2500.1-750$ shipped Or what do you reccomend what kind of Cap should i get? or not get one? New alternator? If so what kind? and What kind of wire, i was told Monster 1/0 Gauge is that correct? thing is not sure if i can run the kicker and have enough power STOCK to handle it, and have enough money…

Buy a sony 12" component sub XSL124P5B and a sony stereo Model #: SON CDXGT320 for around 250$. And then buy four 6x9 pioneer speakers for i dont know how much. Would this system even work ? What would i need? I drive a 2000 f-150 lariot extended cab supercrew. And i am gonna buy at circuit city and i think they have free install near me would this be a total bad idea. i was thinking about music i would play, i mostly play hip-hop and rock so maybe slq? So i was just rear ended 2 hours ago at a red light. I have a 2004 chevy blazer and was the first in my lane at a red light. the guy next to me jumped and the girl behind me floored it in her dodge stratus. When it happened, my door speakers popped and do not work anymore. the fuses are all good, my amp still works as do my subs. So, i'm thinking about buying some raw drivers from Parts express and trying myself at an active 2 way since i have a Pioneer DEH-P880PRS. Anyone have any good suggestions for under $200 total? Basically, I'm trying to think of the most cost-effective way to build a shelf that's rock-solid steady for my turntable. I've been floating a lot of ideas around in my head, from "floating" a piece of MDF in a little sandbox-type thing, to several layers of MDF on soft rubber pads, to wacky ones like a suspended magnetic table (most likely not even possible). So...I'm trying to brainstorm, need ideas for a table that's immune to vibration and help to deaden the internal vibration from the unit itself.

Well i'm new here and i'm looking on oppions for a new system this is wut i am comming off of 2 db drive platinum 15's dual 4's seal box running off an auttek 1500.1 mx amp.. sold that becuse they were both nothing but problems no for the doors i had a shop but in the only comps that they had which were the mtx 6600 series 6.5 in front n rear which the rear r suposed to be 5.25's well long story short all the tweeter burnt up but one and one 3 door speakers work. they are running off an autotek 480sx amp ok this is wut i have been looking at so far with subs 1 18 inch Eclipse SW9182Pro tc built donno wut amp i would need for that 2 mag 15's off and ia 20.1 2 arc aduio 1…

I've been trying to figure this out and figured I would put it out there for the gurus. Is there any real difference between speaker level and line level signals other than the voltage and the ability to drive a speaker level load (2-4 ohms vs 100ish or whatever for an amp). I guess what I'm really asking is this: Say we have a headunit that puts out 25 watts at 4 ohms. which by my calculation would be 10 volts. Now lets take that and plug it into an amp that can handle 10 volts (or split into two amps for 5 each). Is this fine to do or would it not work well?

Ok, within the next month or so I plan on getting a car stereo for my new car. I'm probably getting 4 alpine type component speakers, tweeters and cross overs with either a kenwood double din deck or a Power Acoustik touch screen deck to power the speakers. Now for the subs, right now Its between Fi and Dc, I'm leaning towards Fi but I'm just wondering what is the difference really between the Bl and the Dc?

Alright so i was down at the mall and took a look at the brand new 2012 Scion tc. I must say it looks beautiful, not too sure on how it performs or any issues that they have but it looked CLEAN. Im only 19 so its not like ill be able to afford one anytime soon, but it looks like such a nice car to wall . Kind of looks like a Honda CRX, but bigger and more luxury oriented. Guess i just had a bit of a daydream moment but maybe this will my my future car. Not sure yet, (Coming from a GM family, it seems odd to be this into an import.) Oh, and the doors already have 3 ways mounted in them.

Hello. I have two Sundown SA-12 d4 and a saz1500d v.3 and im having a little problem with what gauge wire i should be using. right now i would like to run it at 1ohm but im probably going with the 4ohm hook up. I still have my stock battery and alt and im not trying to run them down anytime soon. some people have also told me i can run them at 1ohm since i dont run my system all the time but im still a little sketchy saz1500dv.3- 1ohm =1500watt rms 4ohm=530watt rms

can any one help and give me the equations to calculate the box airspace and tuning on the box ... bcause i want to learn a very accurate way to design boxes like calculating them by pen and paper without using a software. PLEASE HELP

Well, I usually stay away from all the local shops, there about 5. But I was bored so I went around yesterday to see whats new. Theres one shop thats actually pretty knowledgeable/cool. A old guy at Autosoundaddiction(VERN) We were sitting around talking, this kid comes in with a 15" Team RF fosgate(sweet SPL 4hp sub) the dustcap was loose, but he was sure it needed to be sent to the factory for "repairs" Tested the coils, their fine.
