Does anyone on here know where i can get a x or z 15" basket. Tried looking online and nothing.

i plan on relocating my battery to the trunk and adding a second one. couple question: 1)they are wired parallel, correct? 2)do i need a fuse in between the batteries? 3)do i need to fuse the power wire running from the engine bay to the trunk?

Ive gotten my box completed and my sub installed in my car for about a week now, its going to be a nice weekend out here in Michigan and would like to finish my box. What do I use to cover up all my seams/screws so I can paint over it. Also I want to have a nice black or charcoal look to the box but have it be textured like steve meades, any ideas what to use for it.

Hey guys, just recently bought a 2 channel and am now wiring or trying to wire it. i have come to the point of putting the speaker wire to the speakers. but i have come across a little issue. you see all the previous wiring is connected to the driver and passenger door by a single clip. there is no other opening in the door. and theres no room to slide my speaker wire in there. so how do i get the new wire into the door? the only way i see is to drill a couple holes. what do u guys usualy do?

My friend was looking at simply buying one of these in order to recieve "more" power to his speakers. He has a 4 channel Polk Audio amp in the back, that is running a 12 bridged off of two channels, and the other 2 channels are hooked onto some random 6x9's he has. The amp is 800 watts x 4 channels at 4 ohms. I told him, that I have a amp he could buy for the sub itself, and use the amp for his front and rear stages. He has a H/O Alt on a 1988 Camaro with a red-top ultima battery. Do you think it would be worth spending about a hundred and twenty dollars to buy this "power brick"? So last summer I was on an unknown mic at a local audio shop and hit 148.2 with my 15" Fi Q on 1500 watts. I knew that was way too high so I had always been curious what id get on the TL. Today I found out that number is a 142.26 in the dash with driver window down, and 140.xx sealed up. I dont think thats too bad considering what my sub has been through... i think i have seen people on the internet use power wire in place of speaker wire. is that possible or is that y they sell "speaker wire"

Installed all of my wiring today, and I had a bit of a problem. I have the gain at about 1/4 until tomorrow, when I'll set it properly. The sub is getting power, I know that for a fact. When music is playing, I can hear a slight murmur of the beat. The bass remote to my AQ2200D constantly displays the red "clipping" light, but I find it odd that the "power" light is not lit up. I'm almost certain from viewing similar problems that the responses I will get are, "quadruple check your wiring!!", but I did that before it all was installed. If there are no other options, I'll pull everything out and check once more, but I doubt this is the case. Does anyone know a possible pro…

Well I got a second battery it's a duralast gold from autozone it says wet cell sealed, I have a second space under my hood where my truck uses the same body as the diesel but is a gas burner. I would have to custom fab a bracket to hold it there, but could I just use it inside my truck? Is that safe I've heard they vent hydrogen on non sealed I just want to blow my self up haha is anyone else done this?

well ive had my sub since oct. and have been very happy with it untill recently it just seems like it was deff. louder a couple weeks ago. so i got the sub and pulled it out of my box to give it a once over beccause i dont have any meters of any kind. so i looked through the vents at the coil and it looked ok i guess was not all black. when you push on it, it make no scratching noise or any thing but seems alot looser than when new? and on the back of the magnet it has this (pit type things on it kinda looks like rust but its not brown its silver) stuff i got a pic but dont kow how to get it here its saved to my pictures can i get some help

Ok guys im rebuilding. Just wondering what everyone is tuning their Team 15's to. My last enclosure was tuned to 34hz but i never really tried to see what was my lowest reach. Rebuilding for 1 or maybe will use both of my subs. At 5cu. Each. Want to get an idea where to tune, want to see how low i can get. A friend of mine hits 20hz with zv4. Not sure team can get there but i want to try. Any ideas fellas. Thx. (2 team 15's 2 sq 3500's) 10cu. Max aloted space in trunk.

I have a 2005 tahoe My set up so far is 2 15" hcca, crescendo bc2000, 1 cresecendo logic f-31 bat, 2 runs of O gauge cca from sky high. The ? Is should I buy another battery logic f-31 or save up for a 270 mechmen alt. my set up is at 2 ohms.

Hey, i stay true to my name <<<. lol, but why does a sub seem louder with a window(s) down, than when they're up? I don't know if it is on a meter, or just to the ear, but shouldn't it be that if the waves are focused into a smaller space, it'd be louder? with a window down the air goes everywhere.. just don't understand. Also, if it really is louder on a meter to have windows down, then why do the true bassheads, modified vehicles spend thousands on concreting a vehicle and making sure every crevice is sealed, when i roll down a window and it's louder. In general, I want my car to sound as clear and full as my home theater system (5.1 with a Polk CS1, pair of Monitor40's, and bookshelf speakers in the back with a Polk 10" sub). Hello all, I am wiring up two 1ohm DVC 12" subwoofers. I am putting both subwoofers in a sealed box, each of them has their own compartment and terminal. I am running a Sundown SAZ-1500D and want to wire it at 1ohm so I get ~750 to each sub. I want to double check to make sure the sub is wired correctly. I found the following diagram. Two 1ohm DVC Wiring Following the diagram, I ran one piece of wire from one positive to the negative on the other side of the sub. I then connect the terminal wires to the other neg/pos on the subs. alright i posted before and was told to hell with jl......so i did. Im greatly considering orion......now, i want speakers that are going to have great sound quality, but i NEED them to pound...competition is a possibility for the future. I just want a very nice system for starters and not have to do much adding on for the future....
