My Current system is this: Headunit: Clarion DXZ785USB Amp: Old School LA 1000D Subs: 2x Alpine Type R 12" Components: All stock, but they keep up. Tweets in the a frame, and 5 1/4" in the front with two 5 1/4" in the back. Forgot to add i have a 200amp alt. to power this. ANd all the 1/0 guage wire to run a big three. All of this is in a restored 1993 Range Rover Classic LWB The Box Design: Credits to Fallen at Roe. He designed this 6th order bandpass.

my good friend has a 02 volvo s60... and he called me stating that he blew his door speakers... and from what i can find... the front doors only have tweeters... and in the back doors it has 6.5s and the back deck holds 6.35's so my question is... anyone been balls deep in these front doors?

Im trying to figure out what is the best out of these choices. So tell me what you use or what you heard was good stuff ~MadroX

Ok. so my sister wants something really small, but that will sound good from the lows in rap to country. but she is on an unbelievable tight budget. $300. My dad said he would cover her but he wont be specific so im trying not to go over 600 dollars. can you guys help me out please. i cant seem to find anything that would be decent for that price. she needs everything too. h/u, wire, amp and sub(s).

hi all i am planning out a 6th order bp that i will be building shortly and am planning on using pvc ports and was wondering if i could use two 3 in ports in place of a 6in port or if it doesnt excactly double thanks

Hey guys. Ok so a few weeks ago, my stereo began to exhibit a strange problem. It would sort of skip but while fading in and out with weird background noise that sounds like a disk spinning. I figured it was the CD player in my deck, but this problem occurred while using Aux and the radio as well. The problem directly correlates with me slowing down, turning, or making any change in direction, and it is VERY sporadic. I obviously figured it was my deck, so I replaced it with a new one. The problem is now occurring again. I'm at a loss. It is obviously not anything in the deck, and I cannot figure out where this very odd fading/skipping would come from. And like I said, …

hi all went up to a local truck shop the other day and found a demo for a truck liner which consisted of a few pamphlets and a coke can covered in bed liner, well a friend of mine and i started playing with this can and soon enough we were breaking a sweat trying to crush it. then later that night i was watching my truck as the fi q 18 i had in the bed played and i saw how much everything was flexing so i was wondering if i coated the inside of my truck with the bed liner if it would save me from running into a problem like iamanmp3pimp (sorry if i butchered the Sn )had with his roof flexing till it cracked. thanks

So... i was wondering what are the effects of running 2 giant gobs of wire out of a wall(8 runs of 8awg per side), one on each side of the wall and filling it in with whatever. this would just seem to cause some loss in SPL wouldnt it? I dont know if i just fill it in with silicone or should i shoot expanding foam in there... i dont know? Also, when i'm messing with the wire any, if the wire gets moved through the hole, would it "un-seal" the hole?

I can't help but notice that manufacturer are still using paper cone subwoofers, while other companies are using aulumium, carbon, poly cones etc. etc. What is the purpose for having paper around? You would think having paper in the automotive enviroment would be a bad idea, considering things like moist/ Uv rays. For example most factory speakers found in cars are paper,over a period of time they become dry-rotted or cracked, in other words wheather beaten.

Going for a two way set-up. I think I can make 8s fit, but it will be a pain in the ass in my little car, if its even necessary haha. But i do want strong midbass, and as for tweets I've always liked them ever so slightly to the aggressive side. I listen to a wide range of metal, from softer stuff to death metal like nile and suffocation. Also I like prog-rock as well as a bit of mainstream stuff too. ok after a bit of research ive decided to try something alittle different then the standard 2 way with a mid and tweet. what i'd like to attempt will use a midbass with a small full range driver. current stuff equipment- Clarion DXZ785USB, kicker 100.2, kicker 250.2, pg rsd 6.5" components. door treatment- 2 layers of raammat on inner and outer, plus a layer on door panel speaker location- mids in doors, tweeters in diy a-piller pods aimed towards the middle (driver sides about 30 degrees off axis) sub stage- AA arsenal but usually i have it turned down and blended in unless im feeling like some rap... --------------- plan is to throw the biggest and baddest midbass in…

I want to get 8 gauge speaker wire for my speakers and was wondering if it matter if I use "Power Wire"? Here is the link. Since I got back into car audio I have stayed away from the so called "Mainstream" brands when it came to my amplifiers and subwoofers. What sold me on the smaller companies was the customer service and the ability to talk to the owner/owners either through the forums, email or direct phone call. I think we all know what forum all these great companies are a part of.... :bigclap: What are the horror stories you have had with companies with poor customer service?

if i'm correct the better the RCA the better luck you have with not getting road noise right? so i know the best brands are monster, kicker, and RF. do you think kicker 09z series are worth the extra few dollars or should you just go with the cheap scorche RCA's?

pretty amp for sure, anywho just saw this guy on a private auction site for under $50 tested working, cosmetically it's almost 100%. I wouldn't use this amp myself, but would It be worth to resell and make a quick buck? only results I really saw for this amp for sale privately was a post on diy selling it for roughly $300, and everyone said post it on european ebay and you could get way more for it... is this amp really that damn nice? i know older diamond audio is nice, but over $300 for a used 4 channel 400watt amp?
