I have a slight leak in my trunk area which causes a small amount of rain water to drip on my carpeted enclosure. My question is, how bad is it on the box? Will it deteriorate the mdf? I know the main response will be to fix the leak, but its been a repeated fix that keeps coming back.

These batteries I keep seeing people purchasing and talking about are deep charge batteries, correct? If so, what is the difference between buying one of those verses say, a deep charge mariine battery from Walmart? Thanks, Mark

Quick question. I will be running 4 18" BTL's. Upgrade wise, big 3, 300 amp alt, and about 4 kinetik 2400's.....i will be pushing about 12k watts to the subs as it is, roughly 3k each sub, well that is what i plan to push to each at least. I am about 90% positive i will need two alternators, what do you think?

As ome of you may know by now...icy_chris is my fiance. I need some help with an audio problem. He has everything amps alternator, wires and fi btl 12" sub and everything he just got door speakers and I bought him the sundown 100.4 for his b-day.....but i dont know what to get him for christmas.... I am getting a Planet Audio TT4200D, 2004 XXX 15", and a set of Rainbow Pro 3 Way components. For sound deadening, I have 3 gallons of Second Skin Spectrum. So far i am looking at the kenwood KDC-mp242 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_17549_...KDC-MP242.html# It has tuning and the rear control. My vehicle has a 6 3/8" mounting depth for the h/u, so anything over than is a no go. My paximum price range is around $100 - $120. Feel free to post your own experiences with different brands and components.

For a 12'' Zcon in 3 cubes at 32hz. How big does the box need to be gross? I can do 30 wide and 15 high, trying to figure out how deep the box needs to be.

Can you use kicker power wire for both the fire and ground or does it have to be specific. power wire to fire and ground wire to negative? hope this makes since

So I was driving down to the grocery store the other day and decided to throw the bass nectar station on pandora and turned it up a bit. I have one 10inch Icon on 1200w in my crew cab silverado. I go to leave the store and the truck womt start. So i start checking fuses. I find one fuse in the box is kind of half out. Push it back in and problem solved. The only thing i can think is the bass vibrated it out. Possible? Anyone else have it happen? Fuse box is in the engine bay.

Box for an 18" BL. 44.5" wide, 21.5" tall, and 20" deep. Port is 4.5" wide and 20" tall. Port length is 30" for about 30 hz tune and ~6.7ft^3 after displacements. I've never built a ported box and never had a sub that heavy. I've seen people do "window" bracing like I drew here...think this 2" wide bracing be adequate? The sub will fire up and port back in my Explorer (read that is a general rule to go by), but I can turn the box for rear firing the sub and firing the port up if that works better. hi, i was just wandering if anyone had any suggestions on what i could do? i used to think i was into sq but over time i think i just like loud. i've had several systems over the years (all installed by me) and i have honestly never been satisfied with any. mids and highs i dont really care about for now, i just want bass so loud i can't stand it. i've seen vids on hair tricks and i think maybe that's what i need. i don't have an spl meter to know what i'm hitting now. mine tops at 130db, i hit that at about half volume. currently i'm running: 2001 hyundai accent factory tape deck with ipod iraggi dominator 200a 0ga everywhere kinetic 1400 memphis mojo 4kw 2- re sx 18d4's…

i did some repair work on a truck, the guy had it installed a few years back at a place in austin that went out of biz after year and years of serving the austin tx area, anyhow.. they had a rope, that went from the highs amp, up the head unit.. so that you could just tap into the factory door speaker wires from the harness, inside was of course 2 puple 2 white 2 green 2 grey. and a remote wire blue, all inside one rope the size of 0 gauge, i wish i would have remembed the name of the company planly printed on the can casing, but i dont, has anyone ever seen this ? and ya know where i can get a bunch? thanks,
