Does anyone have a dodge quadcab or have knowledge with the vehicle to tell me what i could fit behind the front seats. I don't have a problem lifting up the back seats because i don't plan on using it anyway. I wanna put 2 12's where the second row seating is typically. I know the second row seats lift up.

I have an XCON 15D2 and a DC Power 180 amp alternator on its way to my house .....and Argent Audio is building me a 4.0 cubic enclosure with a tuned 32hz flared port Hmmmmm...... Sundown SAZ-2500D or Stetsom V 2K5E 1 ohm? 2500 watts should give me a little bit of headroom After I get the low end taken care of I will focus on the mids/highs. Build log coming soon. Oh yeah....going in a Hyundai Elantra

Hello all! Love the forums. I've got a Kenwood Excellon Z828 deck, two 1998 Diamond Audio Motorsport 5.25" components with the tweets backed of -4, tweets in the grill panels, running off a PPI PC4400 C amp and two JL 10W0's in a Power Wedge box up against the back seat. The passive crossovers are @ 55hz, but that's WAY too low for them. The sound good between 80-100Hz, and the subs sound best at 80 or below. I'm using the 12db/oct x-overs in the amp. In this car, what are the resonant frequencies? I listen to electronic and rock (311!!!). So, getting the bass guitar to sound clear and phat is a chore. I have standing wave pads behind the speakers, the wiring was done r…

Okay, I drive a 1981 Ford Crown Vic, and I have a huge trunk. I am wanting to upgrade my Digital Designs 2515a to something a bit louder. I have 1200 RMS @ 2 ohms I can give one of these b!tches. It will go in a big a$$ ported box, size is not an issue. I love my Digital Designs 2515A, it is sexy and pretty loud, I am just wanting something a bit better now. Right now my DD2515a is in 4.26 cubic ft. [Tuned to 36 hz 65.875 Square Inches port Will be powered by two Directed 750d Strapped [1200 @ 2 ohm] I may upgrade soon, I am wondering how much would be a fair price to sell these for on eBay, one is in kind of rough physical shape though. I am thinking something ar…

  6. Just bought my first classic car. 1966 Cadillac DeVille drop top. Just had a JL Audio system installed. 1 12" W7 in thr massive trunk. She rattles like crazy. What is the best sound deadener for the money that wont damage my vehicle and that can be removed sometime down the road? This car is original and worth money so I dont want something that will ruin the vehicle paint. Thanks

I am in the process of putting together a system for my crossfire. I went to a local car audio store today, and looked at a couple of things. A ported box for one 12, $80. 1 JL12w6, right under $400. And a JL HD750/1 amp $750. Do these prices seem right? I haven't looked at stero stuff lately. Anybody running this setup? What should I expect out of this setup? I am used to 2 hollywood 12's with green foam surround(circa 1995) and a bazooka 700w amp. It seems like alot of money, but I want to do it right the first time. I am looking at this setup due to space restrictions, and custom enclosures aren't in the budget right now. Thanks, chris

ok im probably just being dumb but i tried searching and no answer. I have 2 subs and one 4 channel amp. my question is how do i wire them? i have everything connected however im confused as to how i should wire the subs to the amp. do i put them as front or back? also i dont know if i should plug the RCA cables into the front or back. i tried messing around with different options and i get mixed results. for some reason whether the subs are wired to the front of back it doesnt matter where the RCA cables are plugged in. now heres the problem, only one of the subs seem to be working. the other one will barely work but just sounds muffled. when the one that does…

Okay, my buddy wants to put some stuff in his boat and I really have no idea here. I'm looking for some help. MY best guess would be to treat it like a convertible automobile which means high efficiency and loads of power. Now, this has to be rather budget friendly. He has a Sony HU, all I need is some subbass and some CHEAP drivers to handle the rest of it. I will probably go with a line array of some sort running horizontally throughout the boat. Now, amplifiers is my biggest concern. Being a wet environment, I am wary about this. I know there are marine specific components, but browsing through some, they appear to be nothing more than a traditional component pa…

  13. right now i have two 12" eclipse sw7200 subs, i had a rockford p600.2 pushing them and i kno thats nowhere near the output they handle but i got them both in a deal... i sold the amp and i am wondering if i should sell the subs as well to get something different... ive been looking into the ssa icons and the fi q's... im not looking for ridiculous bass... however i want something that can get respectably loud and have excellent sq, something that can hit the lows and sound good doing it.. i was looking at these two brands because from what i hear on this forum they work well on both ends of the spectrum (so to say) they are gonna be powered by a aq1200 amp and also its go…

Hello, I recently got an xbl^2 xxx motor from a friend. I was wondering who would have a re-cone kit for it. I have the motor and basket, I checked on Fi's website, but they don't seem to have it. I did see the MT's recone kit though, was wondering if I could use MT soft parts?

Someone wants to sell me their 15" HCCA with a decent probox brand sprayed ported box. Seems kinda small tho. anyway he wants to sell it to me for $200 with box. Also he is selling a Boss 5000watt. Don't remember the model tho. Anyway he is supposed to be coming in about 2 hours. So if anyone thinks is a good idea let me know. If not let me know that too.

  18. Just like the title says, if you were looking for something what car audio site would you check out for your item used? I hope this is not against the rules Big D (Denim), it's just that the readership here is more quality rather than quantity so sales area is a little lacking. If it is then I'll take my a$$ kickin like a man......

So i went to a local car audio shop probably less than a mile from my house and i finally got to hear a loud car. The guy that owns the shops name is Michael Jones. He also holds a bunch of worlds SPL records and titles. His stats Idk, i thought it was pretty cool that he lives right here in my town (around 100,000 people or less) He also says he has a B&K sound and vibrations sound level meter. Supposedly one of the best ones out there and he said hes 1 of 3 people in united states that has one. Also has a termlab so i will be metering my truck soon =) Edit: Oh yeah the loud car i heard was a nissan pathfinder with 3 15" DD 3500s i believe with 2 strapped DD m1's. I…

What do you guys think? I can understand the alt and battery upgrade that's a given...

Ok so, I have 2 hdc3 18's and 2 bc2ks. The bc2k's will be running at .6 each. I am planning to run them at 14cubes at 36hz. I want it to have just a tad more lower end. Will running about 2500rms per sub be ok for that box size?
