ZED Audio

just wandering if it was built buy zed, maybe some of you guys that were into car audio then can help. one seen one since then,looks like a zed made amp. long like a crunch 50 us acoustics 2300 or a 7600 autotek or the almighty zeus! plane with no crossovers just lots of clean power. amp was black with a orange stripe down the center of the amp with yellow writing and thats about it. haveing trouble finding anything on the company or the amp for that matter. im looking for one as i type....

Are these true Zed amplifiers?......there is several stories about there being some sort of middle man that produced to many and cadence did not want them or something....just looking for some facts the ones I have do not have the plexi bottom but do have the a7000+ stickers on them.

Well, there hasn't been very many threads on the Zed, so I just wanted to put one out. Seriously though, has anyone heard of any updates on any new lines. I know Steve was planning on something in the near future, and wanted to know if anyone has heard anything.

I will be installing an Ulysses amp in my car this spring and then maybe replacing it with an ESX 60.4. I convinced my brother to go with ESX amps the old zed ones. Hopefully he will now see how good and powerful they are. I'm going to start him off with a 175.2 and if that is not enough I'm expecting a 275.2 to arrive soon. Mind you I don't really want to give him either of them yet he is my brother.... Does anyone else have any old zed in their cars? Currently I have a hifonics Gemini vii doing my entire system and it's pretty damn good. I'm almost totally satisfied with it. Just no real earthshattering bass yet with 4 8's it's good for now. L.

Ok so i figured this would probably be the most reasonable place to put this question. I have an Autotek 7100bts. Does anyone actually use these things with subwoofers or do people only use them for hi's? I was considering using it for a sub amp but everywhere i read people put them on 6x9s or on component sets. any info would be appreciated. Oh i know this is dumb question but what about putting to Icon D1s on it and running it at 4 ohms? wonder what would happen?

I have trouble opening some of the files on Zed's website. It's mainly the TECH files where Zed explains Components, Amp Classes, Cables, etc... I can open the first few files up to "Components", then I'm not able to click and view the PDF or word file. Anyone know what I can do?

Mr Mantz, I saw on your website under amp specs you have another class D amp called the Megalith. Is this amp still going to be made? If so do you have any pictures and a price estimate. Thanks

I installed it today and well I am a little suprised how much I had to turn the gain up... I have an Eclipse 8 volt deck and I figured I would leave the amp all the way down...well that was wrong...I had to move it about 1/4 to get any volume..... With gain set to 8volts I could turn the volume all the way to 80 on the deck and it was still rather low... on a side note ...one of the channels is blown so I am going to have to pay to have it fixed or get the seller to take it back..I just got it last Monday... but anyhow....I was expecting to not have to touch the gain with the 8volts deck...thats really the only reason I have the deck.... was I crazy? ....right now I hav…

I have an Autotek 7100 BTS made by ZED Audio and I was wondering if anyone knew if it is 2 or even 1 ohm stable when bridged.

Just to let everyone know I sent in two amps to Zed to be repaired. It took over 2 months to get them back. They moved to a new location during that time. I did finally get them back this last week. They work like new now. I guess it was worth the wait. I still love the sound quality of their amplifiers. Just with the length of time with no contact with them I thought everyone else should know about it.

Running a Kronos to my mids & tweets and a Minatour2 to my subs (replaced 2 zapco comp 300's) have to say I absolutely love the Zeds. Lately every now and then when I start my car I'll hear a pop and the Kronos will go into protect mode while the Minatour is running just fine, I then have to turn the car off,Wait 5 sec and turn it back on and everything is fine, Was wondering if simply installing a Stinger SGN21 to delay the remote turn on would be a viable fix or is this a sigh of something possibly needing to be replacement in the amp, First time in a long time I've had to deal with any kind of turn on pop, Kinda currious if this somthing common with older Kronos a…

Does anyone know when Zed started putting in different mosfets in the minilith? I bough a mini but havnt recieved it. Steve told me they changed the fets to higher voltage ones at one point. He told me you cant see the parts unless you remove the clips with special tool. I asked if you could tell date by serial but havnt heard back on that and dont know if I will. I just want the mini to be all it can be.. I dont want to send it to Zed for nothing though. I would think serial # would tell ...anyone know? or anyone with newer version can you tell me what your number is?

I'm planning a basic active setup for the time being and currently have a USX-2150 (old style, no blue LED) to run my mids with. Looking for something similar to run tweeters (Seas 27TFFNC) and since i love matching i was thinking of something from the same series anything from 75-150 rms/channel. I'm looking into a set of AA mids. Any advice regarding this, should i aim for a little less power on the tweeter or go about the same? i've done it both ways but i'm not familiar with these tweeters so i figured i would look for some input. they are rated at 90w continuous i believe, but i know that means very little. The ESX Q 604 was in pristine condition inside and out to say the least. There were no marks on the fins. It was never worked on or repaired based on my assessment of the circuit board and interiors. The screws weren't stripped. I would compare the condition of the amp to a car that was traded in with 5000 miles on it. The amp literally seems to be barely used if at all. I am running a PG RSDc 12 off my JBL BPX500.1 and I am just wondering if the minilith would be a step down. powerwise I am sure it would but I wonder if the mini sounds better or has more control of sub. my sub can take lots of power but doesnt need it. its got a efficiency rating of 94
