looking to free up some space in my nissan 350z so i'll be replace the box i built for my single sundown audio sa-10 with a stealth box. now before i do this i was wanting to know if this box will work great with my sub tune at 33-35hz instead of 39hz. The box i have now is a 1.095 cubic feet vented box tune at 35hz with the sub facing up and vent facing forward. h**p://www.ebay.com/itm/350Z-Ported-Vented-Sub-Box-Subwoofer-Enclosure-Plexiglass-Amp-Rack-39hz-/261676372251?hash=item3ced20911b&vxp=mtr

I saw this done with on RL-p by some one on here. Basically my only motivation to even think of doing this is because I have a Rear Strut-tower Bar that kind of divides the trunk (99 civic cp). So any box I put in is going to either be really small or really convoluted.. and I don't want to do that.. unless I have too. So what are your thoughts? Another idea is to attach it to the seat back and then build a 1.0-1.7cf sealed box around it.

Want to build a series-tunes 6th order for a Single Fi Car Audio SSD 18. Not sure where to start I know 6th orders are more complex to design and more of a trial and error build but if I never try it out I will never learn. So of course the goal is to successfully build a 6th order but depending on the final results if it does not meet expectations there will be adjustments. Also if non of the revisions succeed I will fall back on a standard Ported Enclosure . Please if you have any useful information on 6th order designing/building It would be awesome if you can share them with me . Thanks in advancez max dimension - height 30” - depth 21” - width 38…

  7. So, explorers finally safetied.... Now i am going to start the box build. I plan on installing 2 15's for now, but 4 in total down the road. My question, would it be bad for the subs to oversize the box to leave room to cut in speaker openings down the road? The subs call for roughly 3.5 @ 33-35 hz, if i made the box like 12 cubes tuned to the proper frequency what effect would it have? How does the increased size effect the sound and response of the sub? Will their be any dangers in running a sub in an oversize inclosure for daily driving? Thanks in advance. Chris McDonald

  14. the sub should be here within the week. it will be going in a 2002 cavalier. i have limits on the box, so i have come up with 36w x 17h x 13d with 2 3"ID ports tuning to 35hz. i read some where i could tune the box a little higher due to the fact i listen to a wide range of music. any truth?? sub will fire into the cab area. i have also read some where about sealing off the trunk. so, i would seal off the enclosure from the rest of the trunk and channel all the sound into the cab area?? any specifications on space needed in front of the woofer or ports??

I need help. I traded my 2 vvx-15 for a sundown v2 18 inch in a box that needs help. I want I box thats tuned between 30-34 htz. I want it vented not ported, I like the look better. I like how loud it gets but I would like to control it a little better when I turn it up, but I think its the box that leaks. I have a jeep grand cherokee, so I know I have the space for a large box. At the moment the the sub faces up I would like it if it fired to the back. Any help is greatly appreciated. And I am still running the planet audio bb2400.1

  17. I did a recent install in the wifes jetta an alpine oversized face deck 7998 or something I think I'd have to look.. a PG Xenon x600.1 amp, pushing a single DD 9510F in a 3 cube box 45in^3 port 34hz tune. not too musical imo, but bangs hard on the low bass stuff. I think if I had more power it may help, and a higher tune also would more than likely help, as it's tuned lower than the drivers FS... anyway, in my sig is a link to the vid, and here are a couple pix does a 141.9@34hz car closed on the dash new TL, and a 141.4@32hz. 140s on music peak hold on dash, and I did a rolling average with some chopped and screwed and watched it do 139-140 for a little over 30 seconds.…

im gonna make some kick pods using my old kickpanels in my truck, but i saw a guy on here once making them with 1/4 inch mdf for the mounting plate, and then the rest was foam filler which he resined and glassed directly on top of that then wrapped them in vinyl. is this a good idea, or stick to the regular all glassed way?

So basically I'm slowly piecing my system together and had an idea for an amp rack that is somewhat "expandable". It consists of a wooden base, with a wooden box attached to the end of it for the amps, batteries, etc to be placed into. I'm planning on having ventilation and having the rear of it open faced. It would have shelving for the amps.I'm thinking I could secure the wooden base to these strap hooks I have in the rear of my truck (2006 tahoe), have them protude through the bottom then either use a heavy duty strap or bolts through them. I'd rather not drill into the body anymore than I have in order to secure it. One of the reasons I'd like this design is for secur…

Im changing my set up.. i only had my 2 10" Qs for a couple months but they arent loud enough for me anymore. I have an 04 super crew F150 and im taking the center seat out of the back seat and im gonna center console 2 12" BTLs. maybe if i can fit it 2 15" BTLs id like to keep it a wood enclosure to keep the cost down. Anyone have any ideas for how to get them to fit and have the airspace they need? and then ports?
