Since I'm only on my phone right i can't really use any software to design a box. If you could just give me the cut out measurments that would be great. Maybe a picture of what it might look like. Tuned to 30hz Demensions 32Lx20Wx16H If possible I want the port in the middle with a board separating the the two. So the subs each have there own chamber. All help is appreciated.

I'm kinda interested in doing a T-line or horn or ABC enclosure, just want to do something different, or at least see if it will work. I read a couple of articles on T-line design, but I don't really want to do that much math. I'm just looking for some general design guidelines/ what to expect in terms of results for those types of enclosures, which is probably a lot to ask, since there is a lot that goes into the design and fine-tuning of those enclosures. For example, if i wanted to do a T-line for a 10" woofer, how large of a "pipe" would I need? How much do I need to offset the driver from the end of the pipe? stuff like that...

Hey, I ran into a little problem putting in my door speakers. They're going in a 1999 honda Civic 4dr. It's hard to explain, but i has pics! Anyways, with this honda the speaker doesn't mount directly to the door, but to the door panel....nvm just ckech the pics out: As you can see, the holes where the door panel screws in is blocking how i would otherwise mount the speaker to the door and bring out of the door with MDF rings (need to come out about an 1"). Any suggestions? It seems like I'd have to cut off two of the three mounting place for screws to fit the speaker, but i'm hesitant to do that lol

I need to find out what the correct airspace is with this box. The depth is 20" with the sub facing up. The 36" is the bottom of the box. It's shaped like a "T" to fit over the wheel wells. I know it's kinda crazy, but I need to maximize the room I have for an 18" sub I have coming in shortly. Thx for your help, Vic.

I have been set on 2 18s for a while, but got to thinking about 4 15s. and idk whether to a 4th order or just a regular ported box. i can do the rregular box tuning but would need some help designing a 4th order as i have read and have yet to wrap my brain around it. My goals: Daily, Hairtricks (move air yo) not super low. 30-32 (in regular box tuning terms) not sure where that would be in a 4th o…

Hey everyone, been a member here ever since I bought my saz1500D last summer, and I Love it! been running it at 2 ohms to a pair of the older type r 12's in a sealed box since then. Around the time I bought the amp I got 2 of the new R 12's and now its come time to try and build a box for them, this is the first box I'll ever attempt so I dont really know how to get proper dimensions, ive tried the re calculator, but im still unsure if im right....so I figured I'd ask. but anyway vehicle is 98 gmc jimmy so space isnt a huge factor if need be, i can take some measurments of max size subs Type R 12 dual 4's x2 amp sundown saz1500D@ 1 ohm I'd like to have subs firing up slot…

So I've come to a realization that I need to learn to do some woodwork and tool handling(no homo). I would like to eliminate the use of odd speaker adapters for my front door speakers, especially since I'll be redoing the front stage soon. Would a 6amp jigsaw with a blade for metal be able to get the job done of cutting the sheet metal of the door skin? If so, I'd like to cut a 10x7 shape or 10x10 square out of it. I would then create a wood frame/baffle to mount speakers to? Maybe directly to the frame or creating a speaker ring that would mount to the new frame? Ideas? Would that jigsaw be enough???

MY buddy drives a 2008 regular cab silverado..... He has a matrix 12' that is a fairly beefy subwoofer..... if im correct his amp is 1000 watt This weekend we plan to build a box like Fi-Ford Console/Enclosure...STEALTH - SSA Car Audio Forum Has built for trucks.... My question is.... WE plan on just doing it sealed to begin with... I think with this small of a truck it will be just fine and loud enough.... If he is no satisfied if we were to use like 1 or 2 tubes of pipe to port it would it in any way mess up the subwoofer or anything... ( could we vary the sound by length of the port in the box what size pipe would be best... ) also... if we do it either…

I'm going to be building a second enclosure for my Fi Bl 15. For my first enclosure I made it out of Birch Plywood so what I was wondering was if Cherry, walnut or poplar would be good for a box?

i've posted this in other forums too, im just trying to get as much input as possible. this is for tc3000 12"dvc. several experienced people have recommended around 2 cu, but i've done some more reading and it seems that they recommended for SPL purposes, you want to use a large enclosure and port. But im not going all out SPL, i just want a REALLY LOUD daily setup, so im just going to experiment and try something in between. I've decided to go ahead and try 2.75 @ 33. i chose to use 15.5 sq in per cu ft since 15 and 16 seems to be the commonly recommended multiplier; the port area comes out to about 42.62 sq in. my max height is 13.5 so my width is about 3.157. i used th…

Needing recommendations on any and all used or heard systems with excellent SQ that have either personally blown you away or proved themselves in competition recently. Any info and opinion on the following are welcome with my proposed equipment in () Wiring thru KNU like always, damp pro like a pro, BIG 3, H/O alt if needed(pref not that much draw on a TL) and upgraded battery as install dictates. OEM integration - a must for this build sadly(360.2 by RF) sound processors (audio control, best model for needed corrections) component speakers - 2 sets F/B most likely fiberglassed to bring soundstage up (CDT, have loved every set I heard if installed right. Perfect for all s…

whats up, I've had 6 systems in 4 cars, 2 of my cars were hatchback. I had 1 sedan with a sub in the trunk for a year and a half, at that time I was'nt trying to make my system louder, now in my present car I'm on my second system and I want to get louder. but the system is in the trunk. I know no matter what I do it wont be as loud as in a hatchback. Is it possible to make a spl vehicle in a sedan. Are spl numbers as high as 150 achieveable in a trunk? My system is fairly loud now,I hit 137.8 at a local shop with my old system. but that was with 880 watts rms to a 15. I was'nt to impressed cause some guys were hitting 5-10 db more, with nearly the same wattage. I hav…
