i pieced together a simple system for a friend of mine and installed everything, only thing left to do is make the box and slap it in there! we both a totall newbs at sub enclosures and already failed miserably at making one for this sub (long story short, it turned out to be a fart box. box is sub forward port back which makes it interchangeable in positions 5 ways which we like a lot) so i need you guys to help us out on a box design/specs, i dont wanna be pushy but we need the specs by tomorrow because he really wants to build a box thats right and hear his sub how it should be already. hes a carpenter so the woodworking skills and tools are all here and ready. the ma…

I have 15" height with 38" width in my trunk. If it could be made down to 36" width and just longer that would be great. I'm going to be housing two SA12s on a 1500d. Specs of the site say 1.75 each at 30 hz so 3.5 at 30 should be right then correct? If it helps I always listen to rap with a lot of low notes. I currently have a design from this site for a 3.2 cube that I will build tomorrow but if someone can help me out with a design tonight that would be great. 3/4 MDF. THANKS!

I am looking for someone in the Portland area to build a box for me. I am very capable but don't have the tools at the moment. I have the design. It a pwk. For 2 12's with a 6" aero. I don't trust the dealers out here, plus they'd want too much $$$.

wtf makes it a "nice" or "right" enclosure? like everyone says that my 12" Q will sound amazing in the right box. how the hell do i find "the right" box without building multiple boxes? any suggestions? i just see it everywhere but i don't know where to start on building a good box to get alot out of the sub? i know the obvious, such as size. if iw as to go sealed, wouldn't pretty much any sealed box sound the same? if they were the same cuft that is. and i know theres alot of variables for ported boxes, but how do i know what sounds better then others? i just wonna do it right the first time. i'm currently in a 1.5 cuft sealed enclosure that a local audio shop "custom" b…

For Starters it will be going in a 2004 Chevy Tahoe. My demensions i would like to stay in are:30Dx47Wx27H. Box will be for 2 18 inch DSS Ethos powered by a Soundqubed 3500.1 5cft net for each sub tuned to 32 hertz. I wanna do Subs Up Port back and havent decided if i want to go with aeros or a traditional slot port design. Which would be easier for a first time box builder? Included some photos of "my hoe". Thanks in advance for the help guys!!!!

Hi, I am trying to decide between 2 icon 12"s or 1 icon 15" I will be powering with a taramp HD3000.1 around 1500RMS. I am trying to keep my box size down. On the 15" it gives a 3 cu ft ported box, and a 4 cu ft ported box. How much difference in SQ and performance would I see if I used the 3 cu ft vs the 4? also Could I maybe split the difference? 3.5 cu ft? I can do 4, just was hoping I could make it a little smaller. I don't know if I am going to have the room for 2 12"s so that's why I was thinking of one 15" but would I be better off SQ wise to do 2 12"s? Thanks!

looking to free up some space in my nissan 350z so i'll be replace the box i built for my single sundown audio sa-10 with a stealth box. now before i do this i was wanting to know if this box will work great with my sub tune at 33-35hz instead of 39hz. The box i have now is a 1.095 cubic feet vented box tune at 35hz with the sub facing up and vent facing forward. h**p://www.ebay.com/itm/350Z-Ported-Vented-Sub-Box-Subwoofer-Enclosure-Plexiglass-Amp-Rack-39hz-/261676372251?hash=item3ced20911b&vxp=mtr

Aight, Ive got 2 18" daily Fi BLs dual 1 ohm, with cooling and flatwind option. Then I got a sundown saz-3000d, iraggi alternator, and more 1/0 welding wire than you could shake a stick at. Now I have very limited box building experince, and I know someone that knows someone, that has some experince. But I think he is limited in proper port designing, maybe. He has a shop called 352 Kustomz, small shop, two guys, do some crazy custom stuff. Very skilled in body work. So they start grinding away on my project, Its going to be more of a show box than a performce one. But he keeps on asking me the "port size" recommendation from Fi. I told him 5-10 cubic feet @ 30-37Hz , …

So I come today bearing questions... I have two ideas for a system and really am at a standstill and could use some advice. Both ideas will be forward firing with the truck sealed off from the front. My first idea is two 12's in a sealed box. Due to the fact that the max height in the trunk is 12.5in, I would have to tilt the sub back to make it fit, and for the sake of visuals, tilting them inward at the same time. I would prefer this setup, but due to limited resources, I'm not sure if I could cut any mdf with the angled edges required to achieve this. So this leads to my second idea... If I ran two 10in subs, I could run them straight up and down, and I could port them…

Hello. I bought this car a few months back and the time has come for me to start with audio upgrades. I would like to focus this thread on the front stage. My goals: Two-way active setup. Clean sound. Ability to get decently loud inside the car, I have no interest in a parking lot party vehicle. Good, precise response in the listening frequency range. Installation locations: I have two 10" Sundown Neo Pro midbass drivers I am planning on installing, one per door. Around 0.5 cub ft ported, tuned to ~60Hz. I would like to retain my foot space, so for now kick panels are out of the picture. I have no problem with mounting speakers on the A pillars or on/under the dash. I ha…

I am looking to build another box but want something unique yet efficent. I'll pay for the design. Some specs on the trunk: Cannot be over 14" tall x 20"wide x doesnt matter too much over 40" deep. The box will be for a 12" btl loaded off 2 aq2200s. I would prefer tuning no higher than 32hz. Lets see what someone can do.

Subs: two DC Audio LVL4XL 15's Here is the room I have set aside for the box. I can possibly go bigger. But, if possible, would like to not go bigger. 23 inches high 20 inches deep 38 inches wide I want subs up and the port up. I would like to use a slot port. Tunning could be at whatever would work best with the dimensions given. Anywhere between 30hz to 40hz would be fine with me. I dont know what my cabin peaks at but I have had two setups, one 18 tuned to 32 and two tens, not sure on tunning, Both setups peaked at between 40 to 45 hz. I will be using a US Amps AX3200DE to power them. This will be in a small SUV, 07' Honda CR-V.

I have 2 ReAudio SE 12's. I need a box design ASAP. It's going to sit in the back seats of my 2005 Chevy 4 door 2500HD. So the box can just be square, port center or one side. I want it to hit low ( listen to rap and rock ) but at the same time be ok in comps if I want to go ( for fun but still like to do good. ). The reason I just want it a simple design is so I can remove the box when needed not much room behind the seats so that was not an option. I plan to make this out of 3/4 MDF as well so may need to brace it. I will need a design with all measurements of course. I am just going to have lowes cut the peaces for me. A 3D design would be great so I can see how it all…
