Okay guys hope this is in the right spot! I didnt want to post this in the fabricators thread but anyways here we go. I'm wanting to purchase a box design for 2 12 L7's. The only dimensions that matter is I dont want it over 20 inches tall and over 48 inches wide and 16 deep. I dont want to do a basic slot port or aero tuned port. I'd rather do a TL or something of the sort. All I want to purchase is the design not the box guys. Something cool and out of the ordinary. Thanks in advance guys!

So maybe I'm confused and doing this wrong but I haven't had trouble before. I've been modeling a pair of BL10's based on T/S parameters from the website. I've been told that they work great tuned low for a flat response but they seem to model great on 2.16 cu ft each at 31 Hz. Actually when I run them at 24-26Hz they kinda look like shit. Am I doing something wrong? Or does the 31Hz tune look fantastic for a build? The blue line is 2 drivers in 4.327 cubic feet at 31Hz

  4. I am building a box for 2 SA-12's for the trunk of my altima. I want to have a square port between the 2 subs on the front of the box, looking somewhat like this: O | O sub port sub Using 3/4" MDF and outside dimensions, my box's height can only have ~ a height of 16.5", a width of 33", and a depth of 16.5" (however, the depth can be altered a good bit if needed) I need to know what dimensions to make the port and the dimensions of the box itself if anyone could help. Thanks.

  5. I love sound quality and its clarity. But I always end up listening to mp3's and I have heard from many places and I do believe them, that mp3's are to heavily compressed, and I want to know where I can get true audiophile grade sound tracks, of rock and techno type music??

  6. Hi, I am trying to decide between 2 icon 12"s or 1 icon 15" I will be powering with a taramp HD3000.1 around 1500RMS. I am trying to keep my box size down. On the 15" it gives a 3 cu ft ported box, and a 4 cu ft ported box. How much difference in SQ and performance would I see if I used the 3 cu ft vs the 4? also Could I maybe split the difference? 3.5 cu ft? I can do 4, just was hoping I could make it a little smaller. I don't know if I am going to have the room for 2 12"s so that's why I was thinking of one 15" but would I be better off SQ wise to do 2 12"s? Thanks!

So I been looking on here and reading about fiberglass and my ? Is what is every body talking about when they say they mix there fiberglass with sand...or is sand another term for something else like I say Mud when I'm mixing autozone fiberglass hardener because it looks like mud to me....main reason is I want to and a couple layers to the inside of my subwoofer box with some good fiberglass or would the stuff at Walmart or home depot be good enough....

alright i have a 2001 honda accord coupe, and am looking into buying a new ride. im not sure whether to be looking into another trunk installation, SUV, or hatch. I have a diamond audio d915d2, a us amps AX1000de amp, alphasonik components with a us amp merlin md41 powering them. i am looking for basically a realiable wehicle that will be the best for a LSQ system. looking to pay around $20k or less, or if i should stick with the car i have now. dont have an enclosure yet, but will build for respective car. (if keeping the accord i will be making a fiberglass corner enclosure), and i may also be doing this for any other car i may purchase. something sporty, and that…

  11. In the trunk of my car, there are two bars running across the top of my trunk, that attach to my trunk lid, i suppose its there to adjust tension for my trunk lid, will if i remove those i can get an extra 2" height and that will make a large difference for my enclosure and layout in general. Anyone remove these before?

  13. I got bored with my Skullcandy's, they sounded like asshole (and still do when not on the amp) but I was wondering, if doubling up on drivers might help the bass response; I split up a few cables and ran them to my HT amp, and they sounded much better, but that is not the kind of thing you can lug around for casual listening; I was thinking of getting two pairs of 50mm drivers and mounting them in place of the existing drivers, to see if a little more area helps; the bass only got good around xmech of the drivers currently in there, tried to get funky and had to back it off to prevent the coils from shredding. Anyone know of a reliable brand of 50mm speakers? I was g…

So I've come to a realization that I need to learn to do some woodwork and tool handling(no homo). I would like to eliminate the use of odd speaker adapters for my front door speakers, especially since I'll be redoing the front stage soon. Would a 6amp jigsaw with a blade for metal be able to get the job done of cutting the sheet metal of the door skin? If so, I'd like to cut a 10x7 shape or 10x10 square out of it. I would then create a wood frame/baffle to mount speakers to? Maybe directly to the frame or creating a speaker ring that would mount to the new frame? Ideas? Would that jigsaw be enough???

Steve got me interested in the idea of building a console that I could put a decent SQ sub in. My thoughts were to have something like this, Box will be fabric matched and coushioned <SP bolt to surrent center seat/console location, have brackets that fit stock storage box on it. Each end of the box will extend behind each seat for added volume, passenger side extention will be the port. OR Plastic or vinal covered glassing to look similar to the current console on the LS & LT extended cab with basically the same layout. OR But an existing color matched console and modify it to incorporate the box design. Ideas and suggestions definatly welcome. I will make a b…

hey guys, i know i have a thread already about this topic, but that was for my ranger. i now have a 2002 f150 ext. cab and my zcon is on its way so i want to start building a box. i took some measurements tonight and i have up to 6 cubes to play with here. i want ported obviously tuned to aorund 34Hz? i love my lows deep and loud haha. i will have it getting 2300 watts from my aq3500 and yes i have the electrical to back it up with no problem. now, how many cubes do you guys suggest i should go for with this kind of power, and the tuning i want? i will have the sub and port up unless told otherwise. let me know what you guys think!!

  22. This is my first attempt at sealing off my trunk. With the new box forward facing, there is a gap on top that is about 1 inch in height, and gaps on ether side about 2-3 inches. What are some ideas on sealing this off completely and still look somewhat respectable? The rear deck is completely sealed off already. The only sealing that needs done is the gaps between the box and the trunk opening.

I am designing an enclosure for a Sundown Audio Z-15 (D4 wired to 2 ohms on a Sundown Audio SAZ-2000D), it will be a daily driver. I listen to a lot of chopped and screwed, r&b, old school and rap so I decided to stick with 31Hz. This may be a temporary box or a full time box depending on how it and the sub treat me. I havent build a box since August of 2008 so its been a while, my max dimensions are 16.5"H x 34"W x 21"D. Jacob told me I can make the enclosure as big as 4ft^3 and tuning anywhere from 30-35Hz and 28Hz if I wanna go lower. So right now Im sitting with a box at 3.85ft^3 @ 31hz with 60 in^2 of port area (port area range = 46-62in^2). Made of 3/4" mdf, sta…
