I will be soon upgrading my current sub and box setup in my F250. I am limited on space and think I can go 1.5cu without much issue or maybe even up to 2.cu if I add an extension piece. My goal here louder deeper harder hitting setup. Here is a pic of the space I can work with and my current box. 1 10in Fosgate p2 in .53 sealed. I can easily double the size of the current box or I can make almost like a L shaped box to utilize the lower section behind the pass side. Without using the the lower pass side I think I could do one that is (17in H.. 33in W.... 5in D1.....8in D2) this would be outside diameter and I will be using 3/4 MDF. This should be about perfect for o…

*hint hint My buddy is looking to build a center console box for an IA Lethal Injection 15. Looking at 3.5 cu ft ~50 inches of port and tuned to 32 Hz. Looking for suggestions and possible cut sheet. Going into a single cab dodge. From the back wall to as far forward as possible without losing cup holder is 48", between the seats is 14.75" and we're hoping to stay as low as possible for a custom arm-rest. Is this possible? How should he mount the sub? Trying to get as much SPL as he can for daily music listening. Driver displacement is 0.15 cu ft. I'd appreciate the help guys.

  4. The magic numbers for the DCON 10 seems to be 1.25 cu ft, tuned to 32hz. Does the vehicle really have any significant play on that? I don't compete or anything. I just hear this thing really performs with little power. I've got all the components of my budget system except the sub and box. For some reason it's the hardest thing for me to decide on. I really wanted to get away with a prefab box, but they are all tuned around 38hz. What's the point of buying a decent sub if you're not going to maximize it's potential? Anyway, As far as box building goes are there any walkthroughs or step by step type guides? I can figure out all the dimensions and cuts but the assem…

Hello, I have a 15" Icon sub in a (about) 4 ft3 enclosure, tuned to 30something. The port is just a 6" round PVC tube. I know I have not enough port area. It sounds good But, with the same total volume, would it be better to make an enclosure with the kind of port I can see in all the pics here ? I don't remember the name, sorry! I want to get the best of my sub. (I listen to rap, r' n b and reggae, and I have a saz 1000 amplifier).

I am starting a new kerfed enclosure for two Pioneer ts-w3002d4 subs. I am a little unsure of how to calculate the volume of the kerfed or flared port. I have two designs so far but I am unsure of which will be the best. I am gonna do two separate boxes and attach them together. Which is better?

Ok guys, I'm gonna need some help with an enclosure. First, some background. I have a friend who everyone had him talked into buying the usual kicker stuff, but luckily I got to him in time. This will be his first setup. Anyways, I coached him through buying an AQ2200D (could have chosen a better amp, I know, but his budget was sort of limited and we didn't feel like going through the hassle of looking for used deals on others), an 18" DC Lv5, and all the other bits. Should all be getting here by the end of this week. Alright now to the enclosure: The vehicle is a 2005 Tahoe Z71 (captain chairs in the rear). Now I measured awhile back, but if I remembered right, it should…

Okay. So I've got very limited trunk space. And a small-ish. Budget. I'm hoping for someone to help me with some sort of box design for an FI Q 10, in a ported box. Max dimensions being 30" Wide, 14" High, and 17" Deep. Already have an Amp picked out too that i'm gonna buy from a buddy for good.

I currently have 2 15 fi Q's and want to put them into a fiberglass enclosure. I will frame the back, bottom, and both sides out of MDF, but i am wanting the top and front of the enclosure to be fiberglass. What is the recommended thickness or number of layers of mat or cloth that i should apply for 2 Q 15's. Amp using the AQ 2200D amp if that helps. Thanks

OK I'm finally going to begin my build next week sometime. The box will be a center console going from the dash to the back seat with 4 12" RL-p's facing up. My question is should I have the port firing forward towards the dash? Or firing back under the rear seat? This setup is going in an '05 Chevy crew cab. Thx for any help.

Hope this is the right section. Anyone in the Myrtle Beach/Conway area we are having a metering session Dec 8 at Carolina Audio in Conway. Call 843-455-9121 for info/directions. It's not a show or competition per-say because we won't have trophies or classes, and it's not really a show because there's no forms to fill out etc. Just stop by if you want to get metered on a Termlab for a good price. I hope I posted this in the right place because it was originally meant to be a competition, but we didn't get things really together in time and it's just not going to be big enough to have classes or trophies. Should be fun though, and get a nice offical T/L score without the l…

  22. I moving up from an old 200 rms orion 12" sub to 2-fi ssd's with 1600 watts to them ( or what ever my Soundstream will really put down. lol ) Now looking at the follow 2 box designs from here, ( which is super sweet that you guys posted these! ) Box 1. 12" xcon ported Box 2. 12" icon ported Outside of what appears to be an extra dolly of vertical bracing and total port area are the pretty much the same. Of course the overall dimensions are a bit different, but they have the same internal volume and tuning frequency. So which box is better? More port area make a difference when tuning is the same? I've got these comps installed in my jeep with the tweets mounted on the doors @ the front corner of the window. As of now I'm running a reference 500 to them but plan on switching amps in the very near future. even with the crossovers @ -6db the tweets sound way too high and ear piercing. Does anyone have any experience with these comps? Any suggestions on making them sound a little better?
