I always hated the idea of a pocket under my deck... never have liked them, but couldnt find any other installation package... so i figured i could make a switch panel to control my amps or something for it... then i got to looking around on ebay and found that they had a ton of 1/2 din equalizers.... so i ordered one to help counter the effects of cheap-deck-itis come to realize that the pocket is not 1/2 din sized as it was advertised.... i removed the pocket and did some trimming... after it was all said and done... this is what ive ended up with for now.... let me know what u alls think... -AcId-

My latest project. Going to be the amp in my living room, driving a pair of backloaded horns (hopefully). Around 6wpc @ 8 ohms from pentode-connected EL84's. The original amp worked, but it wasn't very pleasing on the eyes - Ugly yellow lettering on the transformer, and the entire amp was covered in fine surface scratches and other discolorations that aren't very noticeable in that over-exposed photo. My friends and I decided to use our 4WD this weekend, so we headed up north to the dunes at Silver Lake. It was me in the almost stock ZR2, my buddy in a stock Cherokee, and another buddy in a stock Silverado Z71.
