So Today i was working on the kick pods in my truck, and pulled the 5-1/4s out that i'm running. I got them from a small audio shop locally, that deals in high end audio, and i've tried to research them, and i virtually can't find anything, and i'm impressed every single time i look at them, even though i own them. And i thought you guys might like to see too! It is an Audio Development W500 Unfortunately, while trying to post the thread, i realized Picasa, which is what my phone can upload to super easy, Doesnt support the correct format to embed the images! I was working so quick and hard to get my Enclosure finished i boxed myself in. This inbetween making HCl bombs and waking the whole neightborhood up and pissing off all the dogs around. Pics of the above in a few.

Last friday on my way home on 460 west, right at loud n clear or whatever the audio shop is, i spotted a ferrari. Of course i knew this couldn't be a ferrari in princeton, must be a mera. Turned the stratus around and stopped to talk to the guy, asked him if it was a mera and he seemed shocked i even knew what a mera was. Anyyyway the car was in excellent shape for its age (20 years) but definately needed some TLC, i asked if i could take some pics, he said it would be fine, he had just had the interior redone (nicely) and said he was getting a sound system put in it. (i wish he would bring it over and let me and dave do it right beside the BMW) anyway..pics

the best sub ever and the weirdest box I've ever owned, I think I got screwed, but it still sounds good, I think that has more to do with the DCON.

All for $157. Not too shabby. First, shots of the 10" THis is what I am buying a huge lot of except for the 8s. I'll have photos up of those when I get them. Nice coated paper cone. Looks very familiar from the back. Same basket as the PG titaniums. 5 way gold plated binding posts, and the tinsel leads are 18 guage and fully insulated. There's front and rear gaskets built into the fram itself. A superb touch for such a cheap driver dollar wise. NExt up is the component set. Really nice for the money too. Side by side comparisons of the B2 XC and SSA Zcon. On a side note. It was great dealing with B2. Always were quick to answer questions, and they shipped the subs from denmark on tues, and I receieved them thur all the way in Oregon.

I got so sick and tired and fed up, irritated with everyones obsession with looks, asthetics, cosmetics. It's all about the sound and cheap cheap cheap to me. I got carried away with the walmart red, silver, and gold spray paint. Brandy got me 10 cans of walmart black paint for my birthday so i could paint it all back...and I am very pleased. When I picked up this poor thing I had to re-solder the voice coil wires back on. It was really beat up and covered in liquid nails... yes liquid nails. whell i just wanted to see what people think about head units for spl use? what brand do you think is good ? ... im just a little confused because i went to some car show awhile back and soundstream was there and i heard their demo truck and i noticed that not everything they had was soundstream like the head unit was a kenwood and the EQ was another brand i just forgot what kind and i thought to myself woulndt they wanna use all their own kind of products ?? since soundstream makes head units

Well this system is very basic and the upgrades are coming slowly. The hu is old but it works for now. The 4x6 plates are horrible and the MLI-65's are underway. The Hertz were okay and slammed pretty good especially with the new alt...but the BTL is much nicer. And the alt provides mucho voltage. Those are my first speaker boxes and carpet job ever. Two seperate boxes so it wasnt so heavy and awkward to do by myself. Had to do the round port with simple tuning to 33hz. I made them a touch too big but oh well. Still sounded ok to me. I wanted to cut out the back 4x6 grill on the panel and install some kind of speaker from the deck for cosmetics. The hifonics works for no…
