I've got an email with an .xls attachment, but it's not the usual attachment which you can download. It looks like it's "embedded" in the email. I tried to save it as text and open it with excel, but it doesn't work Anyone know how I can download it ?

we are having a good number of spam accounts coming from a mail.ru name, and I am curious if someone could run a check on it and where it is? it need be might need to just do a ban on the whole thing (if that is possible), just trying to keep the board running smooth

Free music but You cant download the songs, i'm workin on a way around it. I can only think of listenin to the song and copyin it with goldwave. Great for just chillin on the computer though.

Okay, the other day, I DLed the SP2 and it totally screwed up my internet connection. Upon uninstalling, everything was fine. Well, I forgot to change my prefs for Windows updates and fell asleep the other night with the computer on and low and behold, when I awoke, the computer had DLed and installed SP2 again. Went to uninstall and restart, and now it get's to the XP screen, loads windows, then goes to the blue screen and restarts the computer. Does it everytime and will do nothing else. I called MS tech and they told me to insert the XP setup disc and it would repair windows. HA! No luck. Still does the same ole crap. ANy ideas what to do? With me asking this…

okay, i swear it ain't my fault, well i don't think it is anyway. i was attemting to hand Alex his bottle and bumped the key board or the mouse noy sure, but the dam screen is all super small now. not like it is reduced, it still takes up all 22 inches , it is like i zoomed out on mapquest or something, i can't hardly see you guys. lol. the tab was highlighted in a green color instead of the normal blue aol tab color. i know i hit some stuff, so okay, it is my fault, but i canot undo it... ftl, it had some thing to do with the center button on the mouse that is used for scrolling. once i seen it was goofed up i pressed reload but it did not change, just the grren tab wen…

OK, recently, somehow, I got links on my desk top that I did not put there. (some travel, poker, printer crrtridge, bingo, casino, web hosting...) I can not move these icons. When I right click on them I don't get a option menu either so I can't delete then that way. Now I have noticed that when I sit down at my computer all my desk top icons are rearranged. Can someone explain what's going on? I run Norton weekly, I am fire walled and use 2 different pop-up blockers. I have no idea how this happened. Nothing new in my start menu and also nothing new in my add/remove programs file. Help!!!! I'm going crazy!!!!

i've got avg, and ad-aware....tried hijack this(though to be honest, i couldn't find the file that avg points out) and it's still there. also, i can't use system retore. says it can't restore to earlier date, even though it's turned on and there were (i turned it off and then back on to dump it as i read somewhere) restore dates. a little help please. yep, i'm a noob and i suck with this kind of crap. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

They are releasing it as a new console at the end of 2010 for a projected price of $499 or an addon for your current xbox360 system for approximately $200-$300... i just got a new netgear wireless router and tried setting up a password. it connects to the internet but only as a limited connection and cant get online. anyone know what i need to do? it worked fine without the password, but i dont want to leave it open so anyone can connect to it.

I've just added a *whole* bunch of good quality MP3's...enough that it's impossible to simply have them all on one list. Besides, I'd like to organize and be able to play my collection by album, or assorted tracks for songs that I don't have the whole album for or one-offs. I use Winamp currently, but I'm just wondering what you guys play your MP3 files with, and how you have them organized.

hey guys! Got a question about leaving a portable GPS in my car 24/7? I recently got a Garmin Nuvi 255 GPS for use in my car, but living in minnesota, the temperatures can get to be pretty cold. What are your guy's opinions on leaving it in my car overnight even when the temperature can drop down real low? Can I put it in a case or something or is this just a bad idea to do with this type of electronic? Let me know! Thanks

So guys, I'm having a problem with youtube streaming. I can watch a video and it will stream quite quickly on any website except for Youtube, It takes ages to load. Even Myspace video's stream much more quickly than Youtube. It will take several minutes even for lets say a 00.47 second video to load. Site such a Vimeo, Megaupload Video, College Humor, Etc will load faster. I have a fast Internet connection about a 4Mb connection. Below is my DSL Speed Reports.

I use the Norton AntiVirus 2004 I got off the net with a subscribtion with my computer. When I scan my system, it shows all the questionable files and gives you the choice to delete them. When I choose to delete them, a few actually do, but the rest say "delete failed". When I click on the file to find it's location it show where it's at; C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temp\(file name). The thing is, when I go to my C drive and then to Documents and Settings and then Owner, I have no Temp file there. So how can I find the file to manually delete them and why can't I find it?? Also, why doesn't these spy ware threats auto delete?

Alright here is my dliemma. I have an office in the room next to my living room. Recently I moved my desktop pc into the office closet (well ventilated) and ran a monitor cable into my living room where a wireless keyboard/mouse and my lcd are. In my office I have a laptop and docking station. Since the computer is now in the office I would like to make the monitor and keyboard in my office be able to control both computers so that I can burn CD's, rip music, and just generally be able to get at the box without running back and forth. myself I use the "My Disc" and the 2000 IASCA SQ tune up disks. as for "Regular" music I use dire Straits Brother in Arms CD, Enya(for imaging), and any AC/DC for the in your face guitar riffs. I am trying to see if I can get a broad sound from just one set of alpine SPX 177a comps. with modified Crossovers in my doors and using a pillar placements for the tweets---those and the Adire Audio Kodas have some of the best off axis response I have tested in a speaker.

For anyone that plays computer games, what are the computer games that you currently are playing? Right now I am playing Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour, and also World of Warcraft Beta version, goes live on Nov 17th. Also what kind of cpu do u guys use for gaming? Im considering buying another cpu for my gaming and whatnot.

How do I turn this feature off? Every morning when I go to check my e-mail on Outlook Express, down in the bottom right hand corner the AVG logo thing starts spinning and a box pops up saying "AutoPOP3: Connecting to pop.telusplanet.net" ... Telus is my service provider. It takes five, six, seven minutes + in order to get my e-mails sometimes. So obviously I'd love to be able to turn this feature off. Seems to me like AVG is more of a PITA then Norton so far ... but Norton did catch something that AVG didn't catch even with three days of no updates.

First off, I don't know much about computers so take that into consideration when replying please. Anyways, my new harddrive came in for my OmniFi. I pulled the old one out, plugged the new one in, partitioned it for FAT32, plugged it into my Omnifi, and well, it creates a file called "\USR\newroot.xml", but it need's to be "\USR\root.xml" instead. Now, everything went fine until I plugged it back into my computer to change the file name. I cannot find the drive on my computer anywhere. It does not show up on the My Computer tab, but if I go to "safely remove hardware," it shows up. Anyone know what my problem is and how to fix it? Thanks in advance!
