When will you guys get them back in stock? It's either one 15 or two 12" and I really don't want to spend the money for an amp to power two 12"'s... As far as the RL-p15 goes... 600 watts should be enough power for a ported box right? Could I go higher? Thanks in advanced!

I have posted before but I think I should introduce myself since I think I'll be sticking around. You guys seems to know what's up and it's always good to hear as many peoples opinions as possible. My name is Zach Halverson. I just bought myself a couple rl-p 15's after searching around, passing on RE, done waiting on Adire, and not finding one bad review on these subs. I've got a big project going with my 2001 Jeep Cherokee, upgrading my system big time. The question I currently have is how to best mount these things. Currently I have designed a box with 3 ft^3 each tuned to 28 hz. The slot port is 2.5x14 to give 35 in^2 of port area and have about 35 inches of p…

I am contemplating on getting a RL-P 12" sub and was wondering if I should be going the Dual 4-ohm or Dual 2-ohm way? I understand the Dual 4-ohm runs at 2ohms and Dual 2-ohm runs at 1ohm? Amp is going to be a Audison LRX1.400 # RMS Output 1 x 350 Watts @ 4 Ohms # RMS Output 1 x 650 Watts @ 2 Ohms # RMS Output 1 x 900 Watts @ 1 Ohm So does that mean if I were to get the Dual 4-ohm version, I'd be pushing 650w to it? Or is it still going to be 350w? Which one would you guys recommended? This is going to be in a sealed box for SQ (tight/accurate). Not really into output. Thanks!

  7. i was thinking of having the subs and port facing up in a net 7 cu. box, subs on the outside and the port in the middle , but i wanted to see what you guys thought, i am powering them with 2 hifonics bx2005d amps, a zx6400 for the mids/highs (4 sets of mb quartz 6.5" reference series comps), ixos signal wires, and with plenty of clean signal from (2x) 1/3 oct. 30 band audiocontrol eqt seriesII's and i am not sure yet what ohm i will wire the subs at. as for the bx2005d amp: 2000@ 1ohm, 1300@ 2ohm. and does any one know if the bx2005d puts out true power, i have heard they are a little over-rated. any ideas welcome! my truck is a 2001 ford f-150

Well hello to all the regulars here. I have been reading this forum for a couple of months anonymously and decided to go with dual RLs-15's for my home theatre-stereo DIY sub project. I looked at all the subs and forums I could find. After everything was said and done, they looked like the ones for the job. My requirements were very low distortion, very low frequency extension and awesome output too. I decided to do everything pretty mush as recommended for a change. I have built 2 sealed enclosures that have just at 8.5ft^3 a piece minus about .5 for bracing. I am going to power them each with a bridged Behringer EP2500 with about 2400 watts@4ohms. I am putting th…

I bought 2 15" RLP D4's a couple months ago and finished installing them in my Nissan Titan last weekend. The subs and ports are both firing upward in the cab. I have them hooked up to an elemental designs ed 9.1 amp at 1 ohm. I set the gains using a -3dB 50hz sine wave and set the output to 34.64 VAC which equates to 1200watts. The subs are in separate 2.75ft ported boxes tuned to 29Hz with 30 square inches of port area. The problem I am having is the subs dont get loud at all even though they have alot of excursion. My brothers system (in an S-10) which is 2 old sounstream spl 12's in sealed enlosures running off of a kicker kx350 blows mine away. I have an Alpi…

Hi guys. I'm getting ready to install a 12" RL-P in my Denali. I have a directed 1100d, the sub is 2 ohms. I will be running it at 1 ohm, so I guess about 1100w rms give or take. Anyway, what's the ideal box size for a sealed enclosure for 1 12" . Space isn't a huge issue, however I would like to keep the cargo area of the suv useful. Thanks, Austin

Box is 3.5^3 net@32htz Amps are Autotek MM1400.1 for subs and 100.4 for CDT comps in the kick and Soundstream 3.5"s in the dash.

I want to have mostly a sq based system, but i still want to be able to feel some bass. I want to run 8's just to conserve some space. How well do these hit low frequencies. I mostly listen to mostly rock and R&B so i kind of need some all around performers. I can imagine they will get pretty loud in a truck, but does anyone run these in a car? If so throw me some info. I'm still not sure if i want to run 2 or 3 though. The Vehicle in question is a 2004 POntiac Grand Prix.

  14. i was interested at first in 2 12" Resonant Engineering SXs or XXX's and then just a few days ago their prices basically tripled so i went crazy looking through the internet for something cheaper ($500 ot under for 2 12" subs) and i heard about the RL-Ps on other forums and heard nothing but good things about them. and $440 for 2 subs, if theyre REAL good is amazing to me.. now honestly i dont know much about systems...this is gonna be my first one (i read alot about them though and know many people with a system). and im reading the description for the RL-Ps and it says 500 watts rms. the XXX i was hoping for was 1600 rms. now just reading that makes me think the RL-P is…

Ok I have to ask here I have a SE12 and Dont care if it is louder then a RL-p12. What I want to know is what one will smack you in the head the hardest with 600 watts. I am not going to worry about saving room in my car. I have an SE12 right now and if the RL-p has more kick to it I will change over. I just change my amp on my SE and it did give it some more life. I had a memphis 500d on it and just put a PG X600.1. I did not think there would be a big differance but but there is.They say the X600.1 put out 800 watts not 600 and and I think it is just a better amp. Well thanks for your help and sorry to bug everyone. Just have to say Mike is a good guy. we have email…

  19. hoping to get a trade for an RL-p 15 for a pair of rli 8"s as I can get them under the seat in the truck? my buddy has the P and I may have a guy intrested in the P. I'm sure ultimatly the 15" can get louder, BUT I can run ported with the 8"s vs the 15" sealed, I'm more of a ported guy also. and the 2+ 8"s I have rocked before I killed them what do yall think? get the 15" and trade it? or keep it? i kinda have enough 15"s the storm X2 neo 15" quads under the house are sitting allready lol. they romp hard too 29mm xmax clean up until their limit, too bad I ran them off a 4000d each lol cones are all cracked, it was clean watts so the coils are fine just need new cones

Would a us amps usa-200 be a good amp to run a single 12" Rlp? I've heard the amp puts out 600+ at 2 ohms...... assuming the rating is correct (or underrated as most us amps tend to be) it sounds to be a great match. Anyone have any thoguhts?

Follow the rest of the posts in this thread to see how I blew out the existing passive radiators, then I had to rebuild them again. I am driving this beast with two amplifiers now and have made posts regarding the final outstanding results in this thread. http://photobucket.com/albums/b148/mfishmike/ I'm rebuilding my home theater subwoofer for the 3rd time and am anxious for the delivery of the 2-Premium 15" drivers. I'll be installing them in a 1 1/4" walled cabinet with 4-1500 gram 15" passive radiators. I've been using two 12" Titanic MKIII's, but …

well ive got a 12W7 right now, and im looking for a change. i just want to be louder, and i can afford to loose some SQ (current #'s with the W7 are a 144.1 @ 38 hz, and a 144.6 @ 43 hz.) ive got it narrowed down to a few diff subs im lookin @ a pair of SS RLp 15's being one of them now...i know rl-ps are not SPL drivers @ all, but i just wanna beat that w7 score by a few numbers. will this setup get the job done? also...what are the reccomended box sizes for the 15's? i know the spec on the website, but i was looking for actualy owner input. thanks much

So I made the switch from one SX12, sealed (scary i know) to two RL-i8s currently sealed in my regular cab truck and need some help getting some more output from the little boogers... my amp is a 81000d and the 8s are D4 wired to 4 ohms to the amp since its unmodded, so I figure about 300 watts a piece on em. The box is sealed right at 1ft^3 net between the 2 seats. I am not competing or anything just looking for some nice LSQ (which these 8s sound great) but I am hoping that you guys can help me with a box design that will get a lot louder. Would it be possible to use a ported box (maybe using round ports) that has sort of a " T " shape to it, going between the fron…

since most people i've seen are running this woofer in a ported setup, i was wondering how an rl-i8 would performed in a sealed box with about 450wrms running to it. also how big of a box would this need, if it were to go into a hatchback? thanks axel
