Anyone know of any comp's or shows in the Memphis Tn area? Any forum members in the area?

Just a reminder the 1st NorCal MECA SPL show will be April 3rd @ Kustom Kar in Santa Rosa, CA!!!!!! Get the rules downloaded www.mecacaraudio.com and get ready for a killer season with MECA. Forgot to post this up but there are 2 shows this weekend. first is at 450 butler drive Murfreesboro, TN @10am CST on 3-27-2010 second is at 1318 West Main Street Lebanon, TN @10am CST on 3-28-2010 I will be at both shows. If u wanna come out to play, the cost is only $25 to compete($20 for MECA members).

Just a reminder, the FIRST MECA SPL event of the season is at The Audio Shoppe in Riverside this Saturday! Of course we'll have SQ as well,come out have a ton of fun, get your feet wet with MECA and shoot for becoming the California State Champion!

I know that there is a competition section in the forum, but I figured I might get more views in here... Mods, if you want to move this I totally understand. I have been on the USACI midwest site a bunch, and tried to google "WI spl competition" and such, but have had no such luck finding future competitions that I might attend and learn at. I am looking to try my hand at competition in the future, and what better way than to go and check 'em out? Problem is, the only thing I can find is scheduled events for last year and results from other past competitions. Can anyone help me out with a link or something? We will be doing a MECA judge training on March 20th concurrently with the show at Audio Shoppe in Riverside. I NEED more judges down here to staff my shows. Please be at Audio Shoppe no later than 10am. Training will cost $50. Add membership for another $25 ($15 for 1st time competitors) Steve Stern will be there to run the training. Welcome's you to America's Largest Car Show every year! For more info - Carl Casper Official Web Site If you live close enough to the area, you may be invited to the Loudest in Louisville event 2-19-10 to prove yourself to see who's the loudest around this area. This is one of the largest and strictest MECA events every year. This show is extremely huge! Who's coming?

1 Week after Casper, there will be a 1x event back for another Madvette show. This show usually brings in about 12-20 competitors in a variety usually a little in every class here in there. After much thought I have decided to do MECA shows instead of IASCA shows this year. The rules can be found at http://www.mecacaroudio.com I have made this decision for many reasons, but the main ones are: 1.) A fair class structure for SQ 2.) Better manufacturer support 3.) Fair yet simple scoring system that allows for "best of show" I encourage any of you who will be at CES to stop by the MECA booth and talk to Steve about MECA. Just trying to get an idea of people on here that may be from the Southwest Florida area. Even if you would be willing to drive to the Fort Myers area for a car show/soundoff then please post comments. I would love to get something going in this area and try to add some fun. the main goal is to be able to host a a show, which I have connections to an audio shop, and other connections to help build the event, and hold it sometime in the spring before Spring Break Nationals in Daytona. The FCBC Competition Meeting will be held on December 12th, 2009 at Ryan's Steakhouse. Location- 1034 Executive Dr, Elizabethtown, KY Meeting will be at 6pm EST. Room is already reserved, pay for your own food. This meeting will go over the guidelines\rules and finalize everything before the FCBC competition dates are set in stone. Soundgarden in Macomb,IL will have a show on November 1st. The address is 135 N Randolph St, Macomb, IL 61455 it is on the square (location not set in stone BUT WE WILL HAVE A SHOW). We shut down one side of the square just for us or use an old grocery store close to the university. Lets make the last show(unless I can find a indoor venue thats not to expensive) of the year the biggest!! The name of the show is DB-FREEZE being this late in the year. I will get a flyer made up and posted. We can demo all we want at this show.
