Competitions & Other Organized SPL/SQ Events

Just a reminder the 1st NorCal MECA SPL show will be April 3rd @ Kustom Kar in Santa Rosa, CA!!!!!! Get the rules downloaded www.mecacaraudio.com and get ready for a killer season with MECA. Also keep in mind, that Audio Innovations in Fresno is hosting the 2nd show the following weekend. Get your points in a hurry with these two shows!

Just a reminder, the FIRST MECA SPL event of the season is at The Audio Shoppe in Riverside this Saturday! Of course we'll have SQ as well,come out have a ton of fun, get your feet wet with MECA and shoot for becoming the California State Champion!

We will be doing a MECA judge training on March 20th concurrently with the show at Audio Shoppe in Riverside. I NEED more judges down here to staff my shows. Please be at Audio Shoppe no later than 10am. Training will cost $50. Add membership for another $25 ($15 for 1st time competitors) Steve Stern will be there to run the training. I know that there is a competition section in the forum, but I figured I might get more views in here... Mods, if you want to move this I totally understand. I have been on the USACI midwest site a bunch, and tried to google "WI spl competition" and such, but have had no such luck finding future competitions that I might attend and learn at. I am looking to try my hand at competition in the future, and what better way than to go and check 'em out? 1 Week after Casper, there will be a 1x event back for another Madvette show. This show usually brings in about 12-20 competitors in a variety usually a little in every class here in there. After much thought I have decided to do MECA shows instead of IASCA shows this year. The rules can be found at http://www.mecacaroudio.com I have made this decision for many reasons, but the main ones are: 1.) A fair class structure for SQ 2.) Better manufacturer support 3.) Fair yet simple scoring system that allows for "best of show" I encourage any of you who will be at CES to stop by the MECA booth and talk to Steve about MECA. The FCBC Competition Meeting will be held on December 12th, 2009 at Ryan's Steakhouse. Location- 1034 Executive Dr, Elizabethtown, KY Meeting will be at 6pm EST. Room is already reserved, pay for your own food. This meeting will go over the guidelines\rules and finalize everything before the FCBC competition dates are set in stone. Just trying to get an idea of people on here that may be from the Southwest Florida area. Even if you would be willing to drive to the Fort Myers area for a car show/soundoff then please post comments. I would love to get something going in this area and try to add some fun. the main goal is to be able to host a a show, which I have connections to an audio shop, and other connections to help build the event, and hold it sometime in the spring before Spring Break Nationals in Daytona.
