Competitions & Other Organized SPL/SQ Events

Just trying to get an idea of people on here that may be from the Southwest Florida area. Even if you would be willing to drive to the Fort Myers area for a car show/soundoff then please post comments. I would love to get something going in this area and try to add some fun. the main goal is to be able to host a a show, which I have connections to an audio shop, and other connections to help build the event, and hold it sometime in the spring before Spring Break Nationals in Daytona. Kind of like a "pre-season" show/soundoff before the larger season kickoff in Daytona. Any suggestions or comments or simply posting if you could partake and how far of a drive it would…

All of the competition topics are dead on alot of the forums. We as a brotherhood/community/family need to work on this IMO. There's still alot of us out here and we could get some decent sized shows if we put them out there. I'm trying to organize an event here in Muskingum County, Ohio. Already got the green light from the local speed way and a food vendor. It will be a benefit for a local teacher who was just diagnosed with Brain Cancer. Hi! I was hoping to get ya'lls (sorry, I'm not from the south so I may have spelled that wrong) input on infinite baffle setups. To preface, I'm not very interested in SPL... I'm an SQ guy. So I know one of the downsides is that I won't get loud booming bass with my setup. But what are the other drawbacks and/or benefits, assuming that I seal my trunk off perfectly? All I've used in the past were sealed enclosures and I really liked the quickness of my subs. Due to the way my trunk is laid out, though, it makes it pretty tough to build an enclosure that's attached to the rear deck (trust me!). So IB will be the easiest installation, I think. This is the first booth we've rented and hopefully it all goes smoothly. Here's the info... We will have Chrysler 300 w/xcon's Santa Fe w/xcon's on site for demo's and lots of woofers to man handle Hope to see all you locals there...

Figured I'd throw a thread up for people to post vids,pics whatever from finals and the 3x. Inac score was a 152.5 in stock pro 2. Don't know about place yet because my score was lost. For the 3x the next day I put up a 152.6 good for first place and the west coast championship.

Its my first year and I want to make it great, how many of my fellow bassheads will be out at slamology?

ill be having a termlab booth for the car show.. no points no awards just fun runs. you can pre regester for 10 bucks if you want to park inside with the SPL cars. or 25 at the gate. or you can pay for runs,. come in and do your run then park back out side the gates... or you can come enjoy the cook off, car show, glow off SPL runs. beer shopping booths live music and live entertainment let me know if you want to pre regester ... i need to get a head count of pre.. and a quess of how many maybes for the day that want to park and play INSIDE the gates. thanks guys.

im in the detriot area...does anyone know if there is any scheduled events...db comps...or anything of the nature in the near future. i relize it snowing and f'n cold out but something maybe scheduled when it warms thx
