All of the competition topics are dead on alot of the forums. We as a brotherhood/community/family need to work on this IMO. There's still alot of us out here and we could get some decent sized shows if we put them out there. I'm trying to organize an event here in Muskingum County, Ohio. Already got the green light from the local speed way and a food vendor. It will be a benefit for a local teacher who was just diagnosed with Brain Cancer. My uncle passed away from the same cancer last summer. I'll keep this board and the other boards updated if all goes as planned. We are working with MECA to get it judged by them. Everyone get ready. Any one know where and when split competitions will be? Was planning a trip for the first week of March or in the summer. Sbn would be nice but my schools spring break is the first week of march.

I've been looking online for some sound shows in said areas, and i can't find anything but old posts and people that discuss the shows they've been to. does anyone have any idea where i could find the info about upcoming shows, or know of any that's happening soon? thanks.

Who all's going? I was looking and the flyer last year said Sat and Sun 10am - 6PM, This year it says Sun is for industry personnel only, except for the SPL Hall. My Son and I are going as spectators. I know when we went to the Finals in Nashville we had to leave saturday- and we missed all the big demos on Sunday. Are there going to be people Demo'ing on Sunday?

Well, I attended my first audio competition yesterday, though I did not compete. I was there just to take it all in and watch how things went, visit with fellow enthusiasts, and have fun. It was a small MECA event. There were a few breaking the 50 mark with a VW bug that hit a 53.5 at around 50hz or so(don't remember exact). I had fun and now I am curious to see where it goes from here, lol.

It's that time of year again when our local university automotive department is putting on their annual car show. It falls on Nov. 1st this year and as always is open to anything and everything. There's a pretty good showing of cars every year (especially when the weather is decent) and wouldn't expect this year to be any different. I'm hoping to get a better showing of Car Audio related vehicles at the show this year. I'm trying to get everyone I can locally that's into the hobby to attend and I plan on having at least the Jimmy there if not both it and the van. It would be absolutely awesome to have some guys from the forum attend, especially anyone from Team IAK!

After a lot of work, it is now OFFICIAL!!!!!!!! Hope to see you all there. AR SPL will be metering the event. Parking is $10, and to compete is $25 before show. There will be trophies and a range of classes for both the Car Show and the SPL competition. Anyone going?

On my VERY FIRST car competition ever I walked away with a first prize trophy and a final score of 151.6 DB. A BIG thanks to EVERYONE who helped me out. Especially the shop who took care of me (K&N Audio). Those who have given good input, gave good advice, and steered me in the right direction. Of course I am thankful to my family and most importantly I am thankful to God for this awesome experience. Met A LOT of cool people there most of which I have contact with now. I live about an hour north of Atlanta, (Canton, GA) but go to school 3 hours south of it. (Milledgevill, GA) Are there any competitions around this area or any really worth driving a few hours to see? Its already August, but maybe for the 2015 year? I have always wanted to go.

Me and Swift are leaving from Nashville TN probably Friday night.

Any local houstonians going? Ive seen a few say they might in random topics just curious.
