I'm not sure if I will be competing because I'm not sure if my truck will be ready or not, But It will be in the demo booth either way giving demos !!! Okay, my table saw is broken and I am not trusting the old circular saw and straight edge. I need a box that will be 100% square with not a gap or anything. I will be lining it with Plexi mirror and a plexi baffle. I would also like it made out of 1" with 2 strategically placed braces. Who can handle this? I'll provide all dimensions and cut sheet, so no designing will be necessary, neither will a baffle be. Just 5 meticulously cut pieces of wood, unassembled and unfinished, unless it would be easier to ship assembled. Any takers?

This past weekend was the Crutchfield spring blast shows. The first competition was held on Saturday in Harrisburg, Va. and the second on Sunday in Charlottesville, Va. Team SSA had a good turnout, James Webster and the "Killa Kia" filled with new Arc Audio, Morel, Dynaudio, ScanSpeak, and SSA drivers had a strong showing in ModEx +. James could not make the second show because his tooth was killing him. I bought the Team SSA Camry out to play and it is still busting at the seams with Phoenix Gold and SunDown Audio power on Hybrid Audio and SSA drivers. I got highest SQ score both days. Feb. 25, 26, 27th in Louisville, KY. I will most likely not be competing at this show since i havent even started a build yet, too cold. I will be seeing and expecting MANY SSA, local, and other forum members to show up. for those who just want to come and hang out for a day, Feb. 26th, Saturday, is the best day to do that. It costs $14 to spectate, Few bucks for parking and i believe they serve beer here too if i'm not mistaken. ok the pups are here (see show off section) ok I wanted to go with the smallest ported box design for them, if not small sealed, need help with the design... I am not worried about space with my vehicles, but I might put the box into my girls civic, and not much space to work with, hoping for suggestions from the designers they will be powered by an RF 250a2 @4ohms mono for now (shown below) {334 watts benched, meaning 83.4 watts per sub, a little over the rms, but I can back the gains down}

I live in the Poconos, PA. Next year (my build better be done then!!!!) I would love to make it out to a few competitions. Nothing serious, just for fun. I never heard of any comps or teams in NEPA. Does anybody know of any? Anybody here live in PA?

There will be a double point USACi show on June 24th at the fair grounds in OKC. I don't have all the information on it just yet, but I know that it will be a part of an existing car show. I will post up more information when I have it, but the date is locked in and should be posted on the USACi calendar today/tomorrow.

Who all's going? I was looking and the flyer last year said Sat and Sun 10am - 6PM, This year it says Sun is for industry personnel only, except for the SPL Hall. My Son and I are going as spectators. I know when we went to the Finals in Nashville we had to leave saturday- and we missed all the big demos on Sunday. Are there going to be people Demo'ing on Sunday?

The 2nd Nashua night show for Boomer McLoud will be this coming Saturday at 8pm at the Army National Guard base, 154 Daniel Webster Highway Nashua NH. There will be a limited number of classes available. What Boomer plans to run are both Amateur classes, and Stock 1-3. Anyone with a Stock 4 class system will be merged in to the Stock 3 class for this event only. All Super Stock and No Wall Open class competitors that want to come out are more than welcome to attend, but will receive a plaque instead of the trophy. New season has begun, next show will be on Nov 20th, this coming sunday. Next is scheduled for Dec 3rd, and as of right now Jan 15th, this show will be a big triple pointer, and also Steve Stern the commissioner will be present. Look forward to seeing all of our AZ MECA members, and if you arent a member come on out and check out the shows, and meet some good people. Myself and 14k are interested in orginizing a team for us local guys. I'm from Kansas City Mo and 14k is close to that. If you MO guys are interested we'd like to get something going!

On my VERY FIRST car competition ever I walked away with a first prize trophy and a final score of 151.6 DB. A BIG thanks to EVERYONE who helped me out. Especially the shop who took care of me (K&N Audio). Those who have given good input, gave good advice, and steered me in the right direction. Of course I am thankful to my family and most importantly I am thankful to God for this awesome experience. Met A LOT of cool people there most of which I have contact with now. COME ONE, COME ALL!! On Saturday November 6th Vincennes University will be hosting it's annual car show and cruise in at Vincennes, Indiana. ALL vehicles are welcome to attend and enter the car show competition. Low Riders, Jacked up 4x4's, Mini Trucks, Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, Classics, daily ground pounders, SQ cars, SPL vehicles, etc. They'll have trophies for almost anything that can be judged. I've been in contact with the event coordinator who also said that if we can get a TL or some SPL meter at the event they'd love to have it and would adjust prizes, judging and whatnot accordingly for anyone wanting to compete. Is there any kind of spl/sq events held here?I'm sure there is I'v never been to one or seen one near me that I know of.

I am in need of a box. I am wanting to best daily SPL I can get period. I am using 2 AW1206T's w/ a PA1800DB amp. This is going into the back end of an 87 GMC Jimmy Full Size so I have lots of room to work with. Let me know the best setups that will be able to perform the loudest(SPL wise).
