I am thinking about getting one or two of them. What is the lowest imp. they can be run at for both daily and burps. Also are they strapable? Some one told me they are .5 ohm stable for daily, and i was wondering what kind of power i could expect at that load. Thanks in advance Rob

well someone finally broke into my truck and walked off with my us amp 2000... it was in an impound lot. the best part was i didnt have a cd player in my truck, so after my pops picked it up and i was in school all week, i came home to my amp missing, i filed a report with the police dept. and they plan to help me out, so hopefully i'll be able to get some money out of this and buy another one.. or maybe one of them new us amps.. oh well.

I want to fit better quality tubes to a TU-600, do I need to re-set the bias/plate voltages or are the pre-amp tubes auto-biasing? if so where to I tweek the levels and where to I measure. thanks.

  12. I recently installed a 1600.2 in a PUG 206 1.6 .Τhe amp was running 8 8" Celestion truvox 8Ω mids. (4 per channel) so the nominal impedance per channel was 2Ω .The amp is a true beast despite the small size.It rocked the mids like hell, but when i turned it off it popped with a quite annoying noise...I checked the wiring, reset the source unit (Alpine CDA 9835) replaced the RCAs, the power/ground cable the speaker cable and retested.Νο improvement .Still the amp kept popping when i turned it off.I raised the impedance to 4Ω/channel and the popping disappeared!Retested again at 2Ω and it came back At one last attempt i swapped the amp with another 1600.2 and it did the sam…

Hey guys I need a little help.... I used to be able to flick a switch on some amps I have had from playing just lows (bass) then flick the switch and there would be highs comming out of the sub. SInce I have used D class mono amplifiers, I have not seen this feature anymore. I was told to look for a class A/B amplifier, but I purchased the usa-1000 and it did not have the feature, yet it was a class A/B. Wat is it I should be looking for? I need 1000 watts rms @ 2 ohms minimum.

Now I am not going to point fingers at us amps quality because it is probably me doing something wrong. Anywho, I have a us amps xt1600.4 runnning focal polykevlar 5.25" components. I have the focals in stock door locations with the tweeters mounted on the pillars. The xt1600.4 has a .5 farad cap on it. I have not yet fine tuned the gains because i have not had the chance but they are roughly set. I expected this combo to blow me away, but it is not any better than the old boston component set I had running off the HU. My question is: Could the gains need to be changed, I mean, can that cause distortion? also, I have some sub par rca's from scosche. Could that be it? Last…

  24. Okay, i just picked up a couple oldschool USA-400's (the 24" long ones) and im wondering what the real power ratings of these things are. ive been getting alot of mixed answers, and google isnt cutting it. of course ive come up with the 1200x1 at 2 ohms, as per manual. But ive been reading that these amps put out WAY MORE than this. unregulated power = 10 percent gain in each volt about. and other various gains. ive seen 1600-1800w at 2 ohms... 2kw+ .. amp stable to 1/2 ohm. etc.. but i dont even know what's what anymore. what is the real deal on these amps? ie: whats the benched performance of these things? i may run a pair of subs at a half ohm... or stick with t…
