Hi, new member here. I'm just curious about the guy on ebay (chassis_inc) that's always selling new US Amps. Was he affiliated with the old company and/or bought the old stock or something? Are these legit old school models? I have another question but I'll ask that at another time. Thanks, Kelly

Has anyone ever had or heard a modded US Amp? I am speaking to a guy who says he upgrades US Amps and when I asked he said he makes them sound clearer. Any idea what he means?

I must voice my happieness!! My Amp search is all done and Mmmm it sounds so so good lol! Lets hope. I have 2 of these amps and 2 are still on the way. Here is what I ended up with... US Amps USA-50 for Tweeters US Amps USA-400x For 5.25's Midrange US Amps USA-600x for 8" Midbass US Amps USA-300x For 12" subwoofer I was able to get all the X series amps in Chrome so they will all match. The USA-50 is older and did not come in Chrome, so its purple. I plan to install circuit board up, so it should not be that big of a deal. Sadly this is a very extensive install so It may not be till Spring till I can get it all done lol! It would be cool if I could find some ins…

Funny, as I am waiting for my USA-600x to arive, I had to put an Old Rockford Fosgate Puch 100 DSM in my car. Well early this week I bought a US Amps USA-50 as an amp to run my tweeters in a all active system. I just realized its rated 50 watts X 2 just as the RF 100 is alaso rated 50 X 2. I am going to get some connectors tomorrow to properly attach the wire to the US Amp and swap the two. With the same power rating and similar size, I look forward to seeing which one takes the cake lol On a side note, Can anyone explain why my USA-300x I just got has 2 Power connections and 2 Ground connections? Do I need to wire accordingly? If so that means even more distribut…

Feeling very proud to use USAMPS ,i just wanted to let everyone know what these amps are capable of...In our SEAT MARBELLA (very much like a Panda)using two USA 6000 and 2 15'' RE AUDIO MTs (2 ohm/coil paralled) driven by one Stinger SP 1700,we hit 158,7 dbs@ 66 HZ, certified in Street max 1-2 class at the 2005 Hellenic Finals. The real crazy thing is that it only took us 2 hours of tuning (we took the first measurement 8 hours before the beginning of the event) to reach that score, so anyone can understand the potential of this setup.... Imagine the score after one month of testing, at the right impedance and at a higher tuning frequency (69 - 71 HZ).......

Hi all, I am still waiting for my US Amps to arive, and in the mean time I am ordering new wire and other things I will need for my new install. I have 0 Awg comming from the Battery back to the trunk. I will be running a USA-300x, USA-400x, USA-600x and a USA-50. Should I run 4 or 8 awg wire to those amps Power and ground? Also should I run one large fuse, or get a distribution block with seperate fuses to control each individual amp? Just wondering what wire and hardware I should use to insure a strong safe system.

Anyone know real quick what colors the US Amps USA-50 came in? I am thinking of using one to power my tweeters and have seen it in purple and black. All my other amps so far are Chrome, but are all part of the Xterminator series. Thanks for any help

Ok, I just got a long e-mail from the guy I bought my USA-600x from. He asked what my system was like, so I told him, and he claims I have way too much power! He quarentee's me that the USA-300x I plan to put on my sub will blow the sub for sure, and that the 600x will murder my CDT ES520 set! This is his quote... "You should get a 200X new style 7" chassis to drive your 520 europoops, a 400X to drive 4 of your 8's and a 600X to drive 2 of your 12" woofarts" "I had guys ask me how come a 200 watts US Amps keeps blowing 1000 watts woofers. I told them the 1000 watts woofer was actually 100.0 watts RMS (US Amps watts) the decimal point is missing that's why. One USA-10…

Hey flakko, I was wondering if you can get ahold of something that would make my amps look like one big amp sitting side by side. Kind of like the older RF amps, just an endcap that connects 2 amps and makes it look like the amp continues on. It is for the IS series BTW. I think it would look sweet if I could do that. Let me know man, Alex

I've run the ed's before and they are solid and seem to be a great value. Looking at the IS 2080 for front comps and the 2200 for subs or the ed nine.2 and nine.2x. What do you guys think? The setup will be CDT EF 61 Neo comps up front and 2 10's sealed but not sure which ones.

I have this US Amps 200, looks to be made in the 90s, no crossover. Works great, but gets kind of warm running bridged at 2ohm. I recently got a Ascendant avalanche and those subs come in dual 2ohms so i was thinking about running the amp at 1ohm bridged. I've heard from some people that its possible with a little modification, i'm no electric engineer, but i've modded a decent amount of ps1/ps2 and built some headphone amps so i'm tempted to try this. Besides swamping the capacitors w/ higher voltage capacitors, what eles could i replace on this amp? Is there anything i can add? Could i just leave it as is and just cool it better? thanks in advance for any help

I was going through the site and happened upon these Vaccum Tube Hybrid amps that USAmps sells and got curious. I have been thinking about a tube amp, only because I have heard how warm they are (whatever the hell that means). And I have been looking for a different sound so I have been considering a tube amp. First off has anyone heard one of these first hand? What do you think? To any of you harware gurus, what do you see as the pluses and minuses on this concept? As far a tubes themselves go, what are the pluses and minuses? Can they hack the automotive environment, especially one that has alot of bass? What do they do to the electrical system? I am looking at the AXTU…
