I havnt had a US amp in a few and I know these are older but are they any good like the old stuff? I would like to run a US AMPS amp again...but this forum is a little slim on info here the last few years. I was going to pick up a md42 and bridge it for my fronts if its not too big.

How is everyone liking the vlx3de? what kind of power are you seeing?

What does this beastly amp truly put out? My bro has one and that thing blows subs like nobodys business, ones rated for 4000+ watts in the right box, not being turned up too much or anything. There is no way it's only 2000 watts! Help please!

I just recently got a US Amps VLX-200 and I'm working on a USA-150. I really liked these old amps from the first time I saw a USA-400. What I wanted to know was, is there anywhere I can get information on these amps (like a website). Also how hard are these on electrical systems? I'm going to be running two amps and a XM-6 Crossover and I'm concerned with my setup. I have the 3 big in 1/0, 140 amp alt. and a really good wet cell. I didn't really dimm @ full volume with a Sundown 1500D and a small four channel, but the VLX is huge. Well LMK guys.

I finally got this amp installed today. And based on the comparison to my previous sub amp PG ti600.2 which was rated at 604rms@4ohm. I can say that either the PG amp was overrated or the merlin was underrated by quite a bit. In output they seem very close @ 4ohm. But the difference in efficiency is HUGE!

I just got a 4000X and i was wondering if anyone has tested to see what type of power this thing is putting out. One thing i wasn't expecting, its smaller then my 2000X, hope thats not a sign that im going to be disapointed in its performence Any info you guys got on this amp would help Thanks,

Hy, on my XT4000 box it says CEA, is it CEA rated? It is an US Amps, not the new RE Audio XT4000.1. I want the CEA ratings for this amp please.

All i can say is WOW... just wow. im a believer Jim, ima believer. the music got louder, more detailed, and most importantly it doesnt clip! i have to listen to all my music again tubes forever. i cant believe im only getting around 100w from this amp... but one thing is wierd...sometimes when i change tracks, the amp doesnt kick on... gotta wait a few seconds, and it comes on. i dont know whats up with that.

Anyone have the specs for the USA-150 with the long fins on the side? Also Id like to know which input to use when I bridge the amp. I replaced a PG xs2500. I had been running the 2500 with a dcon10d4 at 8 ohms so like 250 watts and I switched over to the 150 and ran the amp at 2ohms. The xs2500 kicks the crap out of the sub. It seems like i have to run the 150 almost to clipping to get it to push a 300 watt rms sub.

Hi I've been calling around to different car audio companies accross the US and all of the stores tell me that mmats amplifiers beat us amp hands down. (compared to merlin series) Is this true? I know the car audio shops have installed both amps and should know, but this is a us amps forum and wanted to hear if there was a difference in opinion. Has anyone here dealt with mmats pro audio amps? thanks

Well, it has been a while since I last posted, and I finally got around to hooking up my IS4065 in my car (the guy who bought my Planet Audio VX3002 wanted it). Well, I had been procrastinating doing it because I figured it would sound the same, well, if I had known what I do now, it would have been swapped out waay ahead of time. I turned on the car to set everything up and I noticed that my music sounded different. I quickly eq'ed something not even listening (just setting my typical eq because i had to switch from network mode to regular mode). The first song I played had tons more detail than ever before. I know the I/S line is built in Korea right? And the AX line is US made. I've heard the Merlin line is built in both places(conflicting info) though. Are the Merlins US built or foreign?
