US AMPS

  1. Started by STFO,

Hey guys... I have the U.S.Amps 4360 tube amp, and have had nothing but problems with it. The channels keep distorting, and cutting out. This may be because of my custom mount, not just the amp. I have it mounted next to 2 Memphis LVS 15's and mounted sideways I would like to try something else, maybe the 4300X. What would you recommend I try? If I went for something like the IS line would that be moving WAY down? or would something like the 4300X suit me better? I have never had another amp other than the 4360, so the tube is ll I have heard. Flakko can you contact me in some way for prices? thanks~!

  3. I have always regretted selling my 2 US amps T700's and when I got the chance to buy a 400x & 600x I took it....I havnt got them yet but I was wanting to run them like so... 400x bridged and running a JL Audio 10inch..model # unknown...its in a wedge box they made as a unit I think.... 600x running 4 coaxials for a 2ohm load.... or should I swap them around? I dont want the sub to overpower the entire system...and I dont want to add another amp either... what you guys think? these are still good amps made in USA I hope .......I know US AMPS has undergone many changes....

Hi there, I am trying to locate a part for my AX-TU1000c. I got it used and the 4700uf caps were bad, one was detached from the board. Also the pin headers were cracked on the tube board. I recapped most of it and replaced the pin headers but I need a couple parts. The previous owner busted a speaker block and tried to solder it together. I'd like to replace this but its very hard to find this part. Does anyone have any idea where I can find this PCB Barrier Terminal Block? (other than buying a parts amp) I could use a rca PCB Mount A/V Concentric Outlet too. I did test the amp removed from the heatsink and it is working af…

  6. I recently installed a 1600.2 in a PUG 206 1.6 .Τhe amp was running 8 8" Celestion truvox 8Ω mids. (4 per channel) so the nominal impedance per channel was 2Ω .The amp is a true beast despite the small size.It rocked the mids like hell, but when i turned it off it popped with a quite annoying noise...I checked the wiring, reset the source unit (Alpine CDA 9835) replaced the RCAs, the power/ground cable the speaker cable and retested.Νο improvement .Still the amp kept popping when i turned it off.I raised the impedance to 4Ω/channel and the popping disappeared!Retested again at 2Ω and it came back At one last attempt i swapped the amp with another 1600.2 and it did the sam…

After almost 20 hours I finally got my system up and running. Integrating into a Factory system with a Navagation unit is a headache but I did it. I used a RF 360.2 to send the signal to my amps. I have not put in the AX-3200DE yet but that will be this weekend along with my RE MX18. So I should start off by saying this amp sounds amazing. I am running my stock speakers and it makes them sound soo much better than the stock amp. There are things I am hearing in my music that I couldnt hear before. The only issue I have is that when the volume is low or where there should be silence in the music there is HISSSSSS. I dont think its normal and I have identified the amp as th…

Most people around here know I was running (2) MT 18's and (8) MD3Ds. I am now running (4) MT 15's with the same amps. Each pair of amps is strapped to a MT with dual 1.4 ohm coils in parallel (.35 ohms per amp). With a hour of testing, I was able to pull a 157.1 at 37 Hz with the new (4) 15" setup. And it will actually do 157.0 from 36 to 40 Hz. The (2) 18's did 156.9, but that was at 43 Hz. I will post some videos of it in the next couple of days. Anyone know of a good bass race song @ 38-40 Hz? Brian

Not sure what the deal is with this guy. But someone at Us Amps may want to look into it. I tried contacting them multiple times, and sent emails, but haven't gotten a response. So hopefully I can get ahold of someone here. http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/4/356768.html Feel free to delete this thread after the situation is taken care of.

Does anyone here speak to Flakko/Jeremy on a regular basis? I've been trying to follow up (leaving voicemails and PM's) about my MD2D that I sent in back in May '07 but received a pretty bad conditioned amp in return, so I want to see where the DHL claim is at. Sorry for airring out some of the details but I'm pretty upset at how long this is taking and would like to see if there's a more direct way to contact him other than his cell. If anyone can give me some info or point me in the right direction, please do. Thanks, Steve

To anybody that uses the Merlins.I am upgrading my electrical to meet the demands of all my amps( 5 Amplifiers) Three amps are the PhoenixGold Ti Series (2 600's Ti and 1 400 Ti) Two US Amps MD3D 07 Models.I can not give you the exact wattage but both amps and subs are connected at three ohm on a JL Audio 13w7. All the amps that I have are unregulated power supply and need alot of juice including the two merlins md3d amps. On the merlins the amp load is 480 in my car adding another 220 plus that is a total of 660 .I had one high output at 220 240 maybe hot. That was not enough so I am adding two more alternators that put out at least 400 to 440 amps.Beside some for t…

Hi there, I'm new to the forum (registered a while ago - but this will be my first official post), and I thought it'd be a good idea to show you guys what I've got. The internals of the 1100T I know it's identical to the new DE-1000 ...but this is the model no. Some random pics: You guys obviously know a lot more about them than me, and I was wondering if you can tell me it there are any differences between the two of them, as I can't find any online specs for the 1100T? I'm using the amp to power 2 x Solar Audio HX 12" woofers, and I'm pleasantly surprised by its power. Before this I had a local branded 6000D monoblock that claimed 4500WRMS, but had nothing on the …

Hey guys I'm in a tough situation needed some advice. I'm changing my sub stage in my Nissan Titan Crew Cab to possibly (2) RE SRs 10's sealed. I currently have a Elemental Designs 9.2x. I was thinking of going with the MD2D or a Diamond Audio 1200.1 in place of my 9.2x but I spoke with Us amps tech support yesterday and they are rude as f@#k. One guy did not want to answer my question and they other guy kept sending me to the website for answers. So for you guys who have expirence with US amps what do you think of customers support and your product. I'm not a basshead by any means maybe more of an LOUD SOUND QUALITY guy but I like stuff that most people in my area will …

Hello I'm new to this forum. I have a few questions that I would like for someone to answer for me. I have the like the title states a US Merlin MD22. Now every where i have read says it do the following specs Power: 200wx2 @ 4 310wx2 @ 2 650wx1 @ 4. And on the box it says 257 @ 4 ohms and 352 @ 2 ohms. So I want to know the truth, whats the deal? The first thing i noticed is the fuse rating (3) 25 amps, now i know that if a amp has a 60 amp fuse. It will do somewhere from 650 to 750 watts. And the second thing I noticed was the power and ground connectors. Now I know it takes like a 4gauge wire. And the thrid things is that it is made in the U.S.A. so I know that its …

Shes going to power a pair of Seas Excel W18NXs and Seas Prestige 27TBFC/Gs. They are in the mail and should be here monday or tuesday. . Thnx again Denim and Flakko for making a happy customer.
