Ok guys, I'm just looking for suggestions on tinting my taillights and headlights. I have an 08 Ford Escape and looking for a smoked or dark black look, but I want my brake lights to be decently visible. I'm wondering if you guys recommend any brands for pre-cut tints for head and tail lights. Or if you guys recommend any other ways to tint my lights, i'm open for it. Thanks and any suggestions are appreciated!

My project for July...if it ever stops f'ing raining...is to repair the rust that's forming on the van's drip rail and at least put a coat of primer on it to prevent it from getting worse. I'm thinking I need to do the following - * Using masking tape/dropcloths, cover all the painted areas I don't want anything to get on. *Sand down the rusted/bubbled portions with heavy grit sandpaper * Spread some naval jelly on the rusted sections, on both sides of the rain gutter...sand this lightly off when dry down to bare metal. * Prime * Color coat Any tricks or things I'm forgetting? I was all like Yay! Cheap Xenon bulbs on eBay, and Elderado is just like... No, nothing good. I need a backup camera for my car. It need to be infrared or have some sort of night vision. Its primary use is for backing up at night because of dark tint I can't see as well as I should. Would not like to spend a fortune but want good quality so whatever it takes. Also I do not want it to stand out. Hey guys I was wondering if there was anyone in NC that can do a good tint job because I've tried three times now and each time I try something always goes wrong from bubbles popping up over night to window streaks under the tint. I figured that by the time I get it to where I want it I will probably have spent just as much as I would have at a tint shop so I'm done with diy tinting and am just looking for someone in the NC area that could do it and if not I guess I'll have to go to a shop and pay $200+

I am wanting to order HID's on Friday, but am no sure what brand to get. I am pretty set on 4300k-4500k since they are brightest and white. These are two I am looking at. I have been having problems with my serpentine belt or alternator. It was slipping on startup, and when i accelerate my voltage drops to about 12. i tightened the belt and the squealing went away, but the voltage still drops to 12. it stays at 12 until i start crusing. I had a gu ytell me i needed the oem belt because 1996 isuzu rodes have a terrible belt design. My dilema is that im about to instal my system, but im not sure if it is just the belt, or is my alternator bad? Also if someone could tell me how to test my alternator that would be great. i have a dmm if it requires one. thanks!

My cousin has a 2/4 DJM lowering kit. It comes with 2" front coils and 2" rear hangars. I already have 2" rear shackles. So this will bring me to 2/4. He selling it for 100$. Does anyone know if this is a good price and can someone tell me the easiest way to install this. I have an 05 single cab silverado.

Well my younger sister was in a fender bender about a week ago and ive got the just of the rear end put back together but im hawing trouble finding a certain part, the clear tail light covers (pics below). Ive spent about 2 grand in parts so far and this is what she had befor and it was one of the things that she loved to death about this car.Ive been to all the local junk yards and online for 3 days now and im getting no ware fast. Well.. Since Im 20 now, going to be moving out on my own within the next couple years, going to have a job, ect. Im thinking about selling my 04 Impala, and get something a little more fuel efficient, and to be honest Im thinking about maybe a 94-98 civic. I never would have thought id be buying a civic, but they are fairly inexpensive, easy to work on, and very fuel efficient. Not really asking for people to persuade me either way but if you want to put in your 2 cents go ahead. . Just thought id tell you a potential idea.

yo i am trying to get some new headlights because one of mine broke. i was thinking of getting some hid headlights. i was searching and couldnt find much on 2002 toyota camrys. i did find this site carid.com. now im not sure if this site is legit or not so idunno. my guess is maybeee but im asking anyway. and if anybody knows where i could get some hid headlights let me know. props for the help and if it is legit what do i need? the actual headlights, Bulbs etc? do i also have to get hid conversion kit or do bulbs come with that thanks for the help

Well, it seems it's always something when it comes to my exotic builds.. Now, all 3 companies who manufactured shocks for the newer Gen Scion xB have all been pulled and discontinued without reason! Talking with a performance retailer, Tokico has went as as far as discontinuing all shocks for all scion vehicles as of 2014 without reason. I don't know what's going on but something is up.. So, I need a source, sources that I can contact about custom shocks. I need it as a backup. I do not know if the current stock shocks are equipped to handle the new coil springs and won't know for some time until installed. I do not know stock spring rate but current spring …

After comming back from the bahmas i hadnt driven the thing in 11 days. So i hop in my truck put 'er in neutral, crank and wow i was amazed. When you listen to 'er crank up day after day you dont notice the sound as much as after 11 days. She started off with a nice 'Burrrrr!!!" and then settled down to a cool 800RPM deep pur of a 3.0l V6 lion. Sounds so good, As i took off down Price Creek (road in the middle of nowhere with no cops and lots of hills/sweeping twists) i ran through the first 4 gears untill the fule cut at 95 wit joy in every shift when it dropped from 4500 RPM down to 3-3500 rpm where it sounds the best (as it gets just above 4,000 the tone gets raspy…

for some reason my check engine light came on today while driving to work. i think there is something in my system to blame as i just installed it a couple days ago. last time it came on the negative terminal came off the battery so i put it back on and the check engine light went off. now it is back on and i looked and the negative terminal is securely connected. the engine seems to be a little sluggish now as well. what could it be?

My brother's car (2002 Nissan Xterra 3.3L v6) all stock electrical seems to be having a couple issues regarding its electrical system. For starters, if left sitting for more than 2 days the car has very much trouble starting. It will crank very slowly 1 or 2 times then stop. Then of course starts immediately when cabled to another car. I put a DMM on the battery which rests at around 12.8, pretty normal. Then 14.2 when the car is turned on, also normal. After say 15 minutes...it seems as though the alternator stops giving 14.2 and goes down to 12.6 (under battery resting voltage). That I noticed was an immediate issue. hey guyz.. i got a big problem, i just put my 26's on my 06 escalade and i have no rubbing at all and good clearance. But my 2 front wheels rub or grind on what it seams like to be the axles when i make left and right turns. its not hitting my fenders or the body of the car, i checked. I have kinda deep dish wheels and it looks like they might be grinding on the back of the face of both rims when i turn. can anybody help or give me advice? if it helps it doesnt do it until i turn about half way left or right help me please?

I purchased a 8,000k HID kit for my truck off of this site this past saturday. I was emailed a tracking number, but it still just says billing information received. I have sent countless emails without reply, and was also a little worried when my invoice number was ~48 or so. Has anyone had any experience or feedback on this site? I am considering filing a complaint if they don't answer the phone this afternoon. Thanks
