Looking for a remote car starter for my 2000 chevy s10 work truck. Just the starter nothing with an alarm as the s10 doesn't have power windows or power locks or alarm I have looked at the Clifford 4203X but they don't come with install instructions as clifford says that you have to take it to their dealer to get it installed. I want something simple that i can install myself

i have a 1995 ford ranger ext cab 4.0 v6. has 150xxx HARD miles on here. this noise had occured before about 8 months ago ten stopped. havent heard it since. they yesterday, it started again. it sounds like a supercharger and only does it when the truck is cold... any thoughts????

Ok guys I was wondering if anyone knows how to change the run time on my 2009 ford escape xlt factory remote starter. It didn't come from the factory with the starter I just had the factory unit put in a couple of months ago and noticed today that it only runs for 10 minutes and it was supposed to be set to the 15 min setting. I called the dealer ship but they can't get me in for 2 weeks. Is it something that I can do? I looked over the book from the starter but it doesn't say how to change the run time.

so i went to the grocery store about 10 mins ago. truck was fine there. on the way home my truck wouldnt stop accelerating. i have to literally push the brake down as hard as i can and then it starts burning out. when i got home, as much as i didnt want to, i slammed it in park and shut my truck off. i have absolutely no idea what in the hell is going on. If anyone has ANY information on this please post anything. Im really hoping it something small but with my luck i know it will be expensive.

well im on ddm tuning right now about to order up some hids for my car and i know nothing on what is needed and not need i have right now i have my 55watt 6k bulbs have my correct bulb type h13 got the highs and lows, now the other 3 im kinda cluess on for the choices i can have HID Harness- will i need this? i have no idea what this is for Error Eliminator- i doubt i need this since my mustang doesnt tell me when my headlights are out or anything close to that, and from what i read that what it does Adaptor cables- and also i dont think i need this since i already have the correct bulbs, or do i? any help will be nice with his hid upgrade i will like to have a impro…

I have a 1992 volvo 240 wagon with 55watt hid green headlights(Bright and sweet looking). Looking for some led lights to put across my grill looking to aim them towards the ground. Trying to get the green monster wow look going down the road What kind of led lights would you prefer? I dont understand the viewing angle ratings on leds 45degree, 90degree 360 degree etc.

Woke up to go to work today and mycd player in my car isnt working. It just says reading and wont play. It was working perfectly fine last night but then wake up in the morning and it wont play it just says reading. Its a kenwood headunit

my car is kinda jacked up to put HID's in.. my head lights are huge and have bolted on covers to access bulbs for changing.. but you must remove the entire light structure and there is a1 huge block plug for all the wires.. confusing i know. i was going to drill holes for my wires and mount my ballast outside and what not.. but i was talking to a guy on youtube and he said he mounted his ballets inside the headlight structure ... there is room.. but my thoughts were how hot do the ballast get? i have never touched them to find out.. i have the small ones,. made by Xentec

I have actually had these for almost 2 months, just now getting around to posting. I actually got a helva deal off Craigslist. And when I mean a helva deal, I mean if I would of bought them new, I basically bought one rim/tire and got three free. They are in good shape considering the price. The rims has a few flaws, but nothing major. Tires seem to have very little wear, I'd say less than 5000 miles. They are 20"x10" BMF S.O.T.A rims and 37x13.5R20 Super Swamper M16 tires. Which initially this combo wasn't my first choice when I had been looking for new rims/tires. But now that I have them, I like them better than what I wanted originally. So it worked out well. hey so i just installed my new headlights on my car and got a HID conversion kit. i hooked everything up correctly (lights, relay, capacitors, etc) but now im having problems. i went to drive to the store and they started to flicker even with the capacitors on. they were working fine earlier today when i installed them around 2pm. but now when i got back from the store they flickered. i got home went inside to get some tools and came back out to try and see whats up but now they wont even turn on. any ideas to why they are not working now.

i have a 2001 nissan maxima that will be getting a wall and will be getting a lot of weight added to it. I need to know where i can get some affordable rear shocks that will handle an additional 1200-1500 pounds. any help will be greatly apprecated. also we will be needing some for a 2001 ford taurus, 2002 grand am, 1998 sunfire, and a few others. finding one good place we can get all these custom built thru would be great as it is alot easier and more trust worthy for me to order from one place instead of multiple. websites or emails would be great Thanks

Hey guys. I have a project truck that won't go into park. I have a 1995 Ford F150 Flareside XLT 5.0L It's 2 wheel drive. I'm having a problem with it going into park, it doesn't go into park. When I shift gears to park, it's in reverse, and I can't go any further. I have to keep it on neutral or reverse and have the parking brake on whenever I park the car. What could be the problem? Something with steering column? Tranny? Must I go under the truck and look at some things? Any help from you guys would be appreciated. Especially you automotive guys. Thanks in advance.

Hello i have a 1992 volvo 240 wagon upgraded my amp from a aq 2200d to a Cresendo bc 3500d. Ordered a 275ohio alt was working great for 2months then stopped working sent it back to ohio had the alt looked at by the technician said it was working fine. Installed it again and started doing this weird voltage thing with my batteries. Voltage of batteries is 12.8 with car off when i turn the car on the voltage stays at 12.8 does not increase inless i tap the gas and it jumps to 13.8volts Why am i recieving no voltage increase when the car is turned on, which makes me think im getting no idle amp output. yo i am trying to get some new headlights because one of mine broke. i was thinking of getting some hid headlights. i was searching and couldnt find much on 2002 toyota camrys. i did find this site carid.com. now im not sure if this site is legit or not so idunno. my guess is maybeee but im asking anyway. and if anybody knows where i could get some hid headlights let me know. props for the help and if it is legit what do i need? the actual headlights, Bulbs etc? do i also have to get hid conversion kit or do bulbs come with that thanks for the help

This past Sunday I had to remove a couple audio wires in my car that ran from my dash to trunk. I removed the driver's seat so I could lift up the carpet at the driver's feet. When I lifted up the carpet the foam padding under it was completely soaked, dripping wet. My power wires are ran under the body through the frame rails. I never drilled any holes in the firewall or floor. -The soaked area was at the driver's feet and up near the pedals. I did not check the passenger side. -The drain tube for the a/c does not appear to be clogged. -It has rained heavily within the past week -I have used my a/c within the past week. -My blower fan does not sound like it is sloshing …

I was looking for alarms for my truck and came across Shatter Guard Film. It claims to be able to stop any intruder and is shatter proof. I looked at their video and it looks pretty convincing but the question now is, is it worth it? What do you guys think all hype or could this really be an alternative to an alarm system. Since it's a film it can't be bypassed like an alarm system and can apparently increase the windows strength by up to 300%. The problem is it costs $399. Do you guys think this would be just as good as an alarm system? Also is their any other brand out their that anyone has heard of that is just as effective without the extreme price tag?

I have a 96 cadillac eldorado. I put a 240 amp alt kit in a reman alt. it worked fine for about a month. now whenever the engine is running the lights flicker. I get a constant 14.5 volts at the battery. do you have any ideas?

Hey guys, well last time i made the thread about how i was having car problems and the mechanic said it might be transmission problems. i went and got a second opinion and what was happening was rodents had gotten underneath my car, and i guess thew started to chew through some of the wires. i need help on how to stop this from happening. I dont live anywhere out of the ordinary so it weird that it just happened to my car. anybody know of anything to keep i guess squirrels or rats, mice away from car so they wont chew through wires. thanks guys

The new 'go fast car' has a meh interior, and would look really good once she gets re-painted. In the mean time what can I do to take pretty 'flat' red paint shine? She has clear coat, but doesn't have that shiny wet look I want. Can I get some tips to get it there? J

what up yall, well i had some car trouble today that came out of nowhere. i was driving to go get some food and when i was accelerating it would seem like my car would jerk forward kinda, or almost feel like it was shifting gears like a manual. mines a automatic. so the check engine light is now on and when i went to get back in my car like 2 hours later it seemed like it was harder for the car to start.
