I helped a friend of mine out over the summer on his Lightning. System composed of... Pioneer head unit 2 sets of 6.5 Polk components 4 10" Polk subs Memphis 5 channel amp 1/0 wiring 2 Kinetik batteries Custom fabbed door pods, battery trays, and amp rack. The sub choices were limited due to budget and space. All factory power and grounds upgraded to 1/0 wire and a high ouput alternator is planned over the winter. All power and signal wires have been kept seperated. The cab floor, rear cab wall, and doors have been fully sound deadend. Sub enclosure. 3/4" mdf used with 3 internal braces. This was built by my friend Amp rack. Used 3/4x3/4x1/8" angle and some flatbar f…

My name is Kyle Golden, im 17, and this is my 1994 GMC Yukon. It was fully built by me at age 16. The only thing i did notdo completly by myself was the paint and prep. My parents bought the original vehicle for me for 2k before i even had my license. I had been installing for almost a year at that time and learned all of my knowledge from fiends at local shops, 10 years worth of CA&E magazines, and numerous online forums and tutorial sites. I began work on it in May of 2007 and started by complety gutting the entire vehicle. ever since i began lookin at pictures in CA&E when i was liek 5 i had always had a vision of MY system in my head. I had also been doi…

So to start things off here is the box I will be building the over all sizes are 30x36x17.5, this box is a master piece of shizzzon designs! (look him if you need help with a weird install in a small spot!) he cubics before displacement are like 7~ and after 6.5~ and tuning is 40hz (may change in the future) Now here is my old box and as we can see the mdf soaked up the water like a sponge lol! so needless to say i had a leak issue also if you are interested here is a link to my old build. This isnt gonna be anything crazy but heres what i got so far. I got polk audio 2ways in all the doors, pioneer 5200 HU. Over the past few days ive been laying down Fatmat rattletrap in the car. I got the whole trunk done with one layer and the outsides of all the doors are done too. I was thinking of doing the roof or the floors but im lazy and dont wanna rip it all apart. I only took a few pics of the trunk and dident get any of the doors (sorry). I have just ordered an FI SSD12 and will be building a box this weekend for it. Its gonna be sealed 1.25cubes BEFORE displacement. I'll try to take some good pics during the build. Thanx for looking and here are some …

Got a friend that has a 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 Classic and he already had some JL Audio ZR components installed (if you would even call them installed. The work was HORRRRIBLE).He initially came to me wanting as much CLEAN,LOW bass as possible without having to cut into the bed or giving up any seat space.I immediately thought of the Digital Designs 1008b's.After a few phone calls with Steve over at DD we got something worked up mapped out. After popping a few panels inside and seeing the pitiful quality of the work inside, my buddy agreed to let me strip everything out and re-install all the existing equipment. Now, on with the pics...... I'll see what I can ge…

Alright. It's time for a new build as I'm bored of my home theatre subwoofer. I already talked with Mark a bit and I'll be picking up 4 MJ-18s along with a Beringer EP-2500 amplifier. I'm thinking it will be made up of 5 pieces. (2) sub boxes, (2) speaker stands, and the main unit. The sub boxes will have 2 18"s each, and I'm probably going to go taller this time around and get it a bit skinnier. The speaker stands will hold one B&W DM 560 with the bottom of the speaker at 30". I believe at that height with our couches should be almost ideal. The main unit is going to hold out cable box, my Denon AVR-1707, the PS3, the PS2, the N64, the Beringer, my mini-fridge, and…

Okay, so as I'm waiting for my SA-8 to get here (as patiently as I can!) I'll put the build of my center console box for it. It's an old beater minivan for my everyday vehicle, but I'm just trying to have some fun. I don't have the area or tools to do the kind of work I'm used to being able to put out (maybe I'll share some of those pics sometime) since I'm working on some flimsy stands with a jigsaw, circular saw, and sander, but it'll do for this project. And so I begin... The wood...good old 3/4" MDF The sides cut out Test fit of sides
