I have read so many other build logs on here I figured I would contribute by showing how my first build turned out. What Ford deemed adequate for my focus I deemed a bit weak. My old 8" from Ford My new Fi q12 d2 and my audioque 1200d Positive side 1/0 welding cable The 150 amp fuse My rear ground also in 1/0 My box which upon further research my port is too small on My ghetto temporary amp rack Good thing I need to redo the box anyways as I blew out a corner somehow I am not quite sure what I am going to do next to replace this. I am unimpressed with my current output. I don't know if it is from my improperly designed and created box or just that this SQ woof…

I know I have been wishy washy with EVERY idea I have came up with and I have asked you guys a million in a half different Q's but I have FINALLY come to a build decision after some recent news. I will be running/showing my car for a local company and helping them get their name out there. . I have done a few things since then and have even more things going on before March(start of all the florida shows). Below is a list of my build parts thanks to my local dealer.First of all, I AM walling my car off and each sub will have 5 cubes each after port and displacement. I didn't plan on walling it but after I got this offer I really couldn't say no! 4 15" Ascendant Audio Ha…

Soon I will be starting the rebuild in my SRT. I will be reconing the subs, adding some new mids and highs, new enclosure, new amp rack, battery bank, and possibly some exterior additions as well. I will try to get all the pictures that I can. Should be a good one this year.

The car is finally here. Here is just a bum load of pics, mostly old, and 4 new. More to come once I do more. So far all I've done is solder the CD player harnes, run wires, and figure out how I'm going to mount the speakers. And now for some new Pimp Mobile Needs sound deadening. The skin is pretty solid but the inside is like swiss cheese Crutchfeild thinks I'm mounting an old tape player I geuss. To walmart I go for a Sosche kit. Damn do I hate sosche kits. The halfarsed painted box. 1st coat and I ran out of paint. This stuff doesnt go on very thick. It looks nice in person though. As you can see the box was built that wide so that there would be space o…

Ok this is for a buddy of mine ... I am helping him with his build in lifted 1999 F250... it will be 2 15in icons in 8cubes tunned to 32hrz with 128sqin of port. big three and dual batts aslong as amps and front stage will be determined later once funding is here.. shouldnt be longer that two months. for now it will be off a pos dhd2000 with what ever he has as frontstage and deck. here is a pic of the box tell me what u guys think and if we should go with this design the space ontop of the port is blocked to cut down the box size.. i still got .88 cubes to play with and some bracing to add.

  11. I am helping a buddy revamp his install. He was using a JL Audio component set for the font stage and JL Audio 12w6 subs powered by JL Audio Slash amps. He bought my P99RS from me and is now running active I gave him a quick four hour tune while drinking some beers and we got the JL's sounding really good. Good enough to be winning competitions but he wanted more. He bought a set of Seas components and is hoping for a better sound. I recommended a different route but this is what he choose. We have a lot to go yet on revamping his install. Here are a few pics of the Seas midrange install. Old MDF baffles that I told him had to go. I made new baffles out of cuttin…

this is a build for 32 sundown E8 subwoofers powered by 2 SAZ-3000D's strapped @ 2 ohms. the box is aimed at 16 cubes, but due to the damn small space i have to work with (lol i have an SUV and i said small space ), it's going to be 14-15 cubes. tuned at around 33-34 hz. give or take since i dno the exact box space. it might take a little while to get finished. i need 4 extra hands to hold some rings while i glue em in place to make sure i know where they go to fit all of them. top part of the clamshell wont be so bad as far as placement, but bottom sucks! i can only go so far out because the seats are in the way. i can only angle them to a certain extent because i cant …

Hey all ! I'm only about ankle deep in my new build... lol... well, I actually was hoping to get some preliminary advice from you guys, especially in the area of box design. So I'm trying to explore my different options for trunk setup this time around. The 18" Nightshade is a fresh recone done by Steve built to handle 3k daily, with heavy duty spider & tinsel leads among other things... Here are some pics next to one of the old 15" Q's Closeup of the tinsel leads My goal is simply to be balls-to-the-wall loud, of course. Not for SPL competition, but strictly for music. I really liked how low the Q's got off 7 cubes so my key points in designing the trunk setup wi…

  19. I'm not sure if I've made a log for this or not, but here we go. We have here my shops 1994 Isuzu Pick up truck. Old system, 12 db Drive K9 10"s on 3 db Drive A73500's. Metered 157's at 54Hz and honestly sounded like doodoo. Here we have the first quick sketch I did after seeing Scott Bowemans truck in a video. Picking up the first 1/2 of the birch plywood we needed for the build. We jump forward a bit here to half way with the box. 1/4" Steel angle iron to hold the baffle in place and help keep box together. We have the baffle in. Sealed with wood glue, then silicon over the metal and all seams. Wires for the subs ran and cleaned up a little. Bolts for the wire to…

Well, I finally got around to taking pictures. I'm a senior at my school, so pretty much I have free reign over the wood shop. Haha. I got started about a week ago on this box, but just kept forgetting to take pictures along the way, and luckily after talking to Nick at IA I remembered to bring my camera to school today. So far the box has 7 layers of glass (with a layer of fleece coated in resin on both sides), and I have yet to figure up exact specs, but I'm estimating around 2.5 cubes with a 6" aero that will be tuned to probably 34 hz. The original box I had in my truck was built by me a little over a year ago, and housed a Fi Bl 12. But it had a 3" aero and was sever…
