This one is several months old, but I will paste it over here. Did a mold of the lower door and will build off that.

Bit the bullet and decided to do what I have recently dreamed about, 4 Sundown SA-15's on a SAZ-3500d, around 14-16cuft with a tuneable port. Started a few days ago and here is my most recent pic, *False floor is not finished* Oh, also...the box with the 8 was a 2 minute throw together with what I had LOL BTW this is what it looks like from the outside...

Well decided to take my stuff out of my 09 Ford Escape and see how it sounds in my s10 for a couple of weeks. I Know the battery needs moved and its unsafe on top of the box but this was just a throw in setup to see how it sounds. It will be secured down tomorrow. The truck is only used to pull my kubota bx25 from job to job so it doesn't get used every day but have to have some kinda tunes. The only thing that i don't like is the subs are quad 1ohm coils but they read 1.2ohms and the final ohm load is 2.9-2.6ohms depending on the mm i used. So with out another battery and a bigger alternator they arn't getting all the amp has to offer but it does get LOUD System includ…

alright this is will be my first build that i have done. i have probably been off and on this site for the past year wanting to get a sub to go with the rest of my system but sadly parents said no. finally got a "yeah its your money do what u want with it" and have finally started to get everything sorted out. first off stats 1991 mustang vert ( 4cyl) kenwood h.u infinity coaxials all round (dash 3.5, door 5 1/4, and back 6x8s) nothing is amplified other than from h.u i have contacted porkchop for some guidance on the box , because it is not going in the shoe box of a trunk it is going in the back seat. the sub will be a ssa dcon 12 in a sealed box running off a re audio …

Did this one last week. It was actually quite a bit easier than I thought it was going to be, hardest part being prep for paint but the radio bolted right in and removing the circuit board from the factory deck allowed the climate control to work like normal without stashing the whole radio someplace. Here's the pics. The victim Here's the circuit board that needs to be removed. Just unplug the ribbon cable at the front, remove two screws and it lifts right off. I made a little ABS box to house the circuit board and cut out a hole for the Molex plugs to peek out, making the installation much easier. Here's the radio all bolted in place. Just getting an id…

I have decided to take Thomas-W's advice and build a manifold on my door to house (4) Fi IB3 18's on the top and make 2 slot ports on the bottom out of the rectangles already there. The door is 1.25" thick, I will make a template/face of the entire door adding .75" to the thickness. I'll make a 25"x25" panel to plug the ports so I can run true IB as well. Here is a pic he suggested for me. I will begin tearing the Twin Towers down tomorrow and use the wood to build the manifolds and ports. It will be nice to get the EP4000s out of the HT room cuz I haven't done the fan mods. The IB3s are custom dual 4 ohm, 4 layer IIRC, series/parallel 4 ohm bridged per EP4000 (2 EP4000…

Well it's time for a rebuild. I am shooting to win MECA Street 5 finals this year. I set a state record so far this year with my two death penalty 21's. 148.6 at the headrest. Thats pretty good I think, and I am very happy with it being my first year competing. I have also picked up xs power as a sponsor, and am a member of Team DBs! Now to win the finals I am going to need to get louder. In the mid 150 range. So I sold the 21's and am getting 4 2010 model Death Penalty 18's, an will be running them off of my new 40.1!! And here is the start of the rebuild. Starting with the box.

So for xmas this year, santa was nice enough to get me a new Xcon and a Sundown SAZ-1500d v2. I previously had a Death row 12 running on a rockford amp. It sounded pretty good to me. Thought it was decently loud and hit the lows well. That was until the Xcon was in my trunk running off the sundown. I only have it set around 800 watts (electrical kinda weak) and it is louder then the Death Row was, definately alot cleaner, and hits the lows way better. Both the boxes were tuned to about 30hz. I love the Xcon, and can see what all the hype was about. They are phenomal sounding woofers, and get pretty loud. Can't wait till I can run some more power to it. Anyways…

This build will not be a rushed one.. I want to take my time, cause I rushed my last build. I have learned alot of stuff from other forums, but from the little time I have been looking at the amazing builds here.. I know I will be busy soon getting this beast running before any audio goes in, but I have also been working on some ideas.. It's not for sure cause if I can get to it I have been in contact with Mike Singer to design me a 4thorder for 12 12's.. I probably will be using some Alpine type R's (older models swr-1242d) for awhile until funds allow me to go further.. Mike said that using the alpines would not be a bad thing cause they do so well in sealed enclosures…

Hey everybody, I picked up my truck yesterday, so it's time for the build to begin. IT's a black Z71 on 24s for now. 133k miles, interior looks brand new, overall great shape. If you don't know me well, I'm a 15 year old and this is my first setup. Equipment I've already ordered/received: 1 D2 18" Fi BTL N2 1 AQ2200D Thinking of running a D3400 in the back. The battery in the truck is basically brand new, so I'm leaving it as is. The guy that had it before me actually had a setup extremely similar to mine; an 18" SoloX. He had the big 3 done already. I got really lucky with this, seein as how I had no idea this truck had previously had a system in it. The guy knew what he…

Finally I got to do some real custom work again, seems like it's been forever. This customer is a great guy who loves to try out new speakers and gear all the time. He comes back regularly just to change things up a bit. This time, he wanted to take the kickpod plunge with his brand new Hybrid L3SE's and rework the door speaker position a bit. Since he does change drivers often, we had to make the door pods very user friendly so that he could. Here we go. Stackin templates to relocate the speaker location. Now, one shape. All the rings stacked up. You can see the countersinking set that is screwed into the base is removable to allow for the trim panel design. We …

The vehicle is a '88 Caprice two tone, gray and maroon. The box is 5.2ft^3 net tuned to about 35hz right now. The amp is a Massive D5000.1 (2500 watts rms). The sub is a 08S15L7. I'm going to cut down the length some when the owner listens and then let him choose what he likes best. I told him I could make his setup as loud or louder than his older box with 2 of the same subs. He has a massive D5000.1 (2500watts rms at 1 ohm) and it was wired to 1 ohm before and now its going to be at 2 ohm. So half the cone area and half the power. And then the box will have black carpet. I'll be mounting his amp on the box when everything is decided with an extra layer of MDF with cus…

This is Grasshoppers's wife's ride. Since he has been doing so much to his truck she wanted a little attention as well. So we are putting a little something together for her. Just a nice system to give her some decent tunes for going to get groceries. Here are a few pics of the Hoe.

Well I've had enough of working my life away building cool shit for other people. I scooped up a 1980 Caddy CoupeDeville about a week ago and will be putting a basic hydraulic set up in it. I'll also be using all the various audio gear that I have been storing in the basement for the last 3 years to put a decent system together for it also. I know the gear isn't high end stuff but I bought it before learning about companies like Fi and Sundown. Hey I did by it all at clearance prices at least so I'm going to run with it. Heres what I have planned for gear as of now. JVC head unit. (8) Infinity Kappa 3 way coaxs. May only run 4 depending on room. (4) 10" Infinity Kappa per…

This is a build for the 8" Bravox PXW subwoofer. The enclosure is 0.7cuft @ 30Hz after displacement. Power is 240watt plate amp. Finished!! What you guys think? I'm running it off a 240w plate amp and IT SOUNDS AMAZING. So clean and smooth. Fills my whole room and even rattles the walls. Did not expect this build to have such a good turn out. After displacement it is .7cuft tuned to 30Hz.

So I had a little build in a s-10 blazer and sold the truck. My new build is my 1991 Mustang convertible not a lot of room in here but once i got rid of the back seats room was not as much a problem. Sorry if some pics are out of focus the camera kind of sucks. got the run of 0 gauge under the driver seat and once the aq 4x90 gets here i can make my bracket to set the aq's on and build a box for my box where the aq is sitting right now. custom bracket made of diamond plate holding the knu 200a fuse knu battery terminal for up to 3 0 gauge wires. Maybe one day! the optima and 0 gauge knu the 5 1/4 alpines the stock location for some 5x7's but i f'ed up and bought 6x9'…
