check it out i did this in about 1.5 hours yesterday afternoon at work what yall think? i did a kicker zx400.1 powering 2 oldschool kicker comp 4 ohms. they are in a prefab ported box (probably tuned around 38 hz ) but thats what the customer bought. i did the car saturday but the trunk was so sealed i needed to "port" it. no tuning just basically letting bass in the cabin. here ya guys go.... heres the bass knob install in the glovebox http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd176/d...07/100_0830.jpg http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd176/d...07/100_0831.jpg heres the vehicle itself sittin on 19" bmw rims http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd176/d...07/100_0832.jpg back c…

Having Alpines since my first system, I wanted to try something new. I went with Hybrid Audio Technologies Clarus line opting with the 6 1/2" over the 5 1/4" after reading the review Car Audio Mag gave the 5 1/4". These drivers were a lot deeper then the type-r's I replaced them with. Here's the comparison in size. After adding another layer of deadener on top of my pre-existing Damplifier Pro I was ready to go. The install required the mid hole in the door to be cut a little larger to satisfy these beasts. Using the speaker ring as a template I made my marks and used a jigsaw to cut it. Using the template once again I made my baffles out of 3/4" mdf. I originally used …

Whats up guys, This is the 2nd box I have ever built, so bare with me if it's not the best in the world, but I am trying to do everything based on everyone's input so far. It is for a 99 Nissan Maxima, for 2 15" Type R's tuned at 38Hz. My last box was tuned at 32Hz, so I am just trying a little different sound, and if I don't like it, i'm sellin it all and gonna toy around with something new. I have Goldbond 3, Silicon 2, predrilling all my screw holes like a good boy... using 90Deg. Clamps and straight clamps Here's the pics: Just started today May 8th.... still workin on it...just letting stuff dry, then im gonna get back at it. my only question right now is how…

Got a single Sundown 12 on an American Bass VFL Comp 2k I recently purchased, thanks SSA, and I've mentioned before that I've been having grounding issues. Just basically absolute hell trying to get a good clean ground. Now that I think I have a decent ground I think all the money Toyota put into making these cars silent in the mid 90's is haunting me and making it a beast to try to get my full sound out of the trunk! Lol. FML!

Ok here I go again with another truck box build. This box will be house a single 12" driver either my SI Claw Mag 12" or my Sonic FX Q 12" depending on which performs better. Specs are as follow, 2.54@30Hz 20"^2 of port Really hoping to get some gut pounding lows out of this box. My current box hits them decent but I want better more defined lows. So enough talk, on with the pics.... Just started this build tonight. Got a good chunk done. Right now everything is being dry fitted before I get all glue happy. It will be put together with screws and TightBond II. Sub will be set back into the box to allow for space for excursion. Still debating on going round or …

Right now it has 1.3liter 55kw carbed engine, but i have already bought new engine D16Z6 that comes with 92kw. Should be enough with this body. New Engine: I am also installing 7inch screen into dash with Raspberry pi computer that is controlled by Android phone to watch videos and play music... Raspberry and screen. Also bought lowering springs and made new front bumper for summer. On 26th march i am going to fix rust on car and repaint it. So let's get into sound... What …

Well, its vacation time for me again. That can only mean one thing. I've had most of the equipment for some time now so there is nothing too new. My CDA-9835, freshly repaired and ready to rock. RE 6.5 components, need to redo some aspects of these kicks. View straight back from the passenger kick through the trunk, all passenger seats removed, the only one going back in will be the front passenger. My fully loaded 18'' BTL. Refurbished KX100.2 without its end caps on. New wiring, all Knukonceptz. Still awaiting my excessive amperage alternator, figured I've got most everything I need to get jumping on this.
