Well, after relentless debate over the ol hoopty I suppose Im gonna brush the dust off off her, well the leaves, acorns, and pine needles actually. She's been worked on and stalled and repeat and parked and well down right neglected as it wasnt a daily driver anymore. Ive pretty much figured hell Im this far and she has never let me down so its time to pamper the bitch and get her back on track. The ol Hoopty is in route for 2 18s....I got the enclosure mapped out for it already etc. Im doing a pair of Evils...thats the mission for that even tho gear is a bit out. Ummmm Im aiming for the Punch Pros in the doors. I think I can do that hoping I dont have to mod the…

Guess what I got yesterday!!!!!!!!!! Should be going in a 1997 Cadillac Seville These seem to be great and heavy subs, The smaller sub is my old pioneer that is also "1000 watts RMS" .I used it to show how big the Z15 is. Can't wait till my 2200.1 comes in!!!! Also, how does 6 cubes @ 32 hz sound? Anyone know how much port area I need for this?

I finally got my box painted and put in the truck. This is my first FI product as I did a lot of online reading before settling on a BL. I've had Kicker 12 L7s, Pioneer SPL 10s and old school Kickers. This BL by far is the loudest sub I've had and it hits the lows very well and still has very good musical abilities. I am very impressed with it so far. I set the amp with a DMM and did the big 3 in 1/0. I had dimming before with just the mid/high amp (zr240 on the Focal polyglass 6.5 comps). No dimming now at all. I tuned the box to approximately 33 Hz. It is right at 4 cubes and its the first time I've done anything with fiberglass. It has 5 yards of mat and 2 ga…

well, to be honest, i just got finished looking through some of the build logs on here. and i can honestly say that, im a little disappointed in my build. this is really my first time doing everything w/o the help of my dad. hes not really around anymore, so i decided to try and tackle this by myself. ive caught alot of crap about how the box looks w/ fiberglass. i thought it was air bubbles at first to. but i didnt let the fleece harden completely, so it started sagging when the glass was kicking off. so its 100% air void free. i even sanded some down to make sure. i have 2 memphis mojo 10s going in it. i was going to run soundstream tarantula trx1500ds for it, but i dec…

Hello! For those of you who don't know me my name is Mark and I am the man behind "Car Audio Fabrication" on YouTube. I have posted build threads before (like this one: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/57168-video-build-log-fi-bl-rockford-fosgate-focal-knukonceptz-tip/ ) and if you have ever seen one you know that I love to mix in "How To" Videos throughout the build that describe the process and show each step. This build will be no different! well, it will a little bit because I am going to try to mix in a lot more pictures for your viewing pleasure! I love to help other car audio enthusiasts young and old, newb and veteran, so if you see something yo…

Well I decided to ditch my dual 12 set up and go for a single 18 DC Level 4 XL in the back. I've been playing around with designs for the past week and finally settled on something. I went to Menards yesterday, got two sheet of MDF and went to work today. It's 6 cubes tuned to 36hz. After my Ebay sale is done on Sunday I'll order the 18 Monday, then I'm going to wait to attach the second baffle until I can make sure it fits good with the sub, and then come a little testing and Herculiner after I'm happy with everything.

I noticed I never posted this here and thought some here who don't visit the other site may enjoy it. It's and old school RF build in my wifes Camry. She wanted all old school RF equipment because she liked the look of them when I used them in her first car in the early to mid 90s. I couldn't argue because I like their performance. I chose IB on the subs to keep as much trunk for her as possible. The only piece that isn't old school is the 3sixty. I couldn't see using a symmetry unit over the 3sixty. Symmetry was only a little less than getting the 3sixty and the 3sixty has way more flexibility. Equipment.

1.9 cubes net tuned to 34hz. Its weird that I have a trend of boxes with the 34hz tune lol. This is for an eclipse convertible so space is a big issue. But yeah, sub up port to the rear. flush mount and all rounded outside corners. 40.5 in^2 of port. I wanted to go more but space was an issue again.

When I started planning on this project 2 years ago, in the planning stages, I wanted 60+ and to bassrace 59.9, but since then I have taken it down a notch, wanting to build something that plays low ( Fla style), Loud and moves an absolute insane amount of air. What I started with Subs 8 DC Level 5 M1 Motors, with David from PSi working his magic on the rest. 8 18" recones 3 spider setup Amps - 4 SK2500.1s from Skar audio. The setup got down pretty good with these, but I needed more power, and less problems a single 300A Tenney that has yet to fail me A 4th order bandpass All Wiring and accessories were acquired from Audio Technix. over 100ft of OFC 1…

Hey Guys, I've been absent from the forums for a while now, and thought I'll check back in with everyone. Longs story, just been really busy, and this year has been one hell of a roller-coaster. I didn't make as many shows as I wanted this year, because of problems I kept running into, but next year should be a much different story! Anyways, enjoy some pictures, ask some questions, and stay loud folks! 4 subs, 4 amps, out of 6 subs, 6 amps at world finals. Took 4th and 5th place for my 2 classes . That pretty much brings everything up to date. Currently running; 1) DC Power 240hp 2) 6 Taramps HD10ks 3) 1 Juice Box Lithium 80ah 4) 6…

so my good buddy Carlos has been wanting to do something different for a while... hes been running a single Dc Audio Level 6 18 for a few months but it wasnt satisfying that itch, he told me he wanted to build a wall but wasnt sure what he wanted, other then the fact that he wanted it to stand out and be different.. haha, no problem.. how about we just build a sub thats never been built before and give it a gorgeous install to go with.. sounds like a plan... onto the pics shell underway, angles angles angles.............. haha, time consuming as a MF some 1/4 monster "L-Brackets, every piece of this shell is 1.5" thick, very strong... all holes filled…

I am starting this thread because I am not prepared for the big build, so I am looking for ideas. Yes I said it I am looking for "Ideas." I am new on here and I know some things, but not all. So as an effort to show how humble I am when it comes to learning something I am interested in, I would like to start from scratch. I am searching other threads, youtube, etc on builds, terms, etc, but it wouldnt hurt for you all to throw me some ideas. I have my own ideas, but I would like to review different avenues to make sure I will be satistied with my build. I would like to give display my pictures, and my current equipment. Currently I am thinking about walling my subs off. I…

Whats up yall. Started the box about 2 days ago, still need about another 2 days to finish everything. Its been raining but it'll be gone by tomorrow. This is my first 4th order enclosure, although I have built countless sealed and ported boxes. I am trying to keep this system lightweight, while still being somewhat loud. I had 2 Fi btls before but it was just too much weight for my car. 4th order is 1 cu.ft for the sealed chamber and 1.8 cu.ft for the vented chamber after sub and port displacement. It is tuned to ~43hz. 2 4" aeros. It is ported into the cabin via the rear seat armrest. Wat? Build consists of: 112 sq ft. of Dynacrap Xtreme Pioneer AVH-P5100DVD Arc Audio…
