Hi all. I started this build over Christmas break for one of my roommates. The box is 4.8^3 ft after all displacement and tuned to 23Hz. I picked up a Stereo Integrity Mag D2 15" subwoofer off of here from a member. The amp is a 500w O Audio plate amplifer. The goods: The build: Sadly I don't have pictures of the round off I did on ALL of the corners. The paint and the install: That's it! The partial review: I have yet to really put this thing through a whole movie, but I have picked out a few of my favorite scenes from Lord of the Rings. I chose the scene at the end of the 3rd movie right before Sauron is destroyed. I'm able to compare …

I started on a new sub box for the RE SX15 in my 98 jeep grand Cherokee yesterday. It's 4 cu ft net tuned to 31 hertz, sub firing up, slot port firing back. This was my first ported box build, and came out alright. It still needs alot of finish work. I'll post pics later today.

  8. Greetings and salutations beings of the internet. I come bearing random thoughts ramblings and a build log. This will be version 3 of my 2004 suburban. The setup: Sony XAV-701HD Stevens Audio Full Size Horns Beyma 8BR40 8" Mids Arc PS8 Bazooka MGA series Amps Stereo Integrity DS4 18 sealed 6cuft This is also the simplest iteration. I employed the KISADUWDATTDT method: Keep It Simple And Don't Upgrade When Done And Tune The Damn Thing. Just a little FYI the horn install happened a few years ago. This a compilation of a build that spanned a few years. Up first are the horns. You've seen one you've seen them all but just in case here is a pic.…

What's up guys so I started construction and completed my box for 2 12's. Gonna be used for dss ethos 12. Port is 4x20 and box net was 5.99. I used 12volt to see how long I need it for 32hz. It said 27.75 but I rounded up to 28. But I wasn't too sure on how to go about it since it's gonna have 2 bends. I researched it and it sounds super confusing, some saying gotta have the correction part at the end. But I found some that said just measure up the middle so that's what I did to achieve 28" Could you guys she'd some info on if it's correct. If not, could you tell me what frequency I'm at. Alright thanks guys

Alright, so I started my box build yesterday with a buddy of mine. It's 5.5 ft^3 roughly. It's sealed with a downfire mounted subwoofer. The subwoofer, as stated in the description, is a Dayton Reference HF 15" and will be powered by a Bash 500w plate amp. (4ohm) DAY 1 It was about 90 degrees yesterday with 94% humidity. Needless to say, we were a little warm. Just some scrap that we used from my first box build. Just mocked it up. DAY 2 Just had a little bit of time to work on it today. Here's a pic of the amp. And here is the only piece of wood I actually cut tonight. This is obviously the back plate. I plan on using an oak Formica to match my living rooms…

As the title states, gonna fab an iPad2 into the dash bezel of a Hummer H2. To do this, I will be deleting the row of 12v plugs at the bottom of the bezel. I will be deleteing the On-Star. I will be moving the HVAC controls to the very bottom. Fabricating a single DIN Alpine HU mount right above the HVAC controls and below the iPad. Relocating the 4 wheel drive controls and the load managment controls to the underside of the steering column panel. And then of course making a motorized mount for the iPad2. Sounds like such fun doesn't it?

  18. My little brother is putting a system together for this years competition season. He will be competing in USACI's street beat. Its a 2003 (I believe) Hyundai Accent. He is using a real basic pioneer deck for now with an update in the future. Two runs of 0 gauge running back to a single US-AMPS 6000 pushing a single Hyfonics Goliath 15. Here are a few pics of the progress so far. We are a little behind because of orders not coming in, but it should be done in a week or so. I used the RFL for comparison only, its the first sub to come close to its size but still just a little bigger. We are finishing the trunk in black suede and the amp will "float" behind the …

Words cannot explain the satisfaction of having a box that is built exactly to a sub's liking! lol I hate that we didn't just do this first! lol My teammate Anthony threw this together for me with what used to be the 3rd row wall box. All birch.....S port ....double baffled box....4.5 net tuned to 28hz! This thing is sex!!!!! It needs some paint or carpet or something to pretty it up...but that is no concern right now! lol Some of these pics i have posted already on a couple forums....but here they are again! lol Video is uploading now!!!! And we might throw her on the TL tomorrow! Compared to old box....
