  1. Well, i had subs up, port back in 2 different boxes, then walled and now got design done by robin for 4th order bandpass for 2 bl 18's. Took couple pics when building, will take some pics of all in truck tomorrow. Still got to put other front on, make trim panels and repaint inside of box. But i can do all that while its in the truck. I am using matt and fiberglass on all seams inside, has 1" rods inside, and adding all thread from side to side for extra bracing. Hopefully will be finished by tuesday. Still got lot left to do, but had to put in truck while i had the extra help to move it. So far, just from playing around a little it sounds alot louder, has a total di…

Here are pics of "Moms Soccer Van" before it goes in for custom vinyl graphics. Rear windows have been blacked out and urethane sealed To prevent flexing. Passive crossovers flushed into the passenger side under seat drawer. Refer all questions to 02skidoo as I only assisted on the dampening and tweeter install and brainstorming. Brian did all the rest himself. All dampening is Rockford Fosgate Deadskin (1 layer roof and sidewalls) Alt is from Ohio Generator and 3 Kinetik's. Could use a couple more. Now all I need to do is talk the Owner into Sundown and others!

My first build was not posted here since it was before I found this awsome site but I will post a few pics of it. I recieved my Sundown SAE 1200 amp today and awaiting the 2 SSA Icon 12d1 subs. The box will be ported instead of sealed this time with subs firing up, still poundering on port location. Should I go out the side on bottom or up also? The box will be approx. 4.1 cubs tuned to 30hz. Picking up wood tomorrow after work and hopefully start cutting sat mornin. I know its alot of trial and error but if anyone has experience with extra cab trucks and port locations feel free to add. Here is the current set up in my 95 Mazda B3000 Kenwood KDC-X790 head unit JL Audio e…

Cut the hole for the speaker. i wanted it as small as possible so it barely cleared the magnet.... i ended up having to make a slot for the wires thou I didn't get any pictures of the speaker ring but it had a roundover instead of being flat and had a kurff cut so it would bend with the dash. Nothing major just a slight bend BUT it made a huge difference in the end result. These pics are in mid sanding thou, the ring was fiberglassed to the dash popped off and i snapped some pics after the first stage of sanding After looking at it on the dash half way ready i realized the orange wasn't going to work... So i painted the speaker while the final sanding and stuff was bei…

In one of my intro threads I remarked it was like an old addiction. Seems as of late well for over 13 years I've mended my ways and laid down my desires for my family. What started as just a small system has resurrected the monster. I have a few goals intended for this system they are: 1. Create a clean install which is removable with minimum effort. After all this is our family car. 2. Target db level 145 3. Modular design to accept several boxes and yet remain SANITARY in installation. 4. Kid proof Covers to prevent kids from dropping stuff in ports (one reason the passive radiator is one of the designs) 5. Design for double the electrical draw. On hand purchased …
