Pioneer head unit 2 sets of 6.5 Polk components 4 10" Polk subs Memphis 5 channel amp 1/0 wiring 2 Kinetik batteries Custom fabbed door pods, battery trays, and amp rack. The sub choices were limited due to budget and space. All factory power and grounds upgraded to 1/0 wire and a high ouput alternator is planned over the winter. All power and signal wires have been kept seperated. The cab floor, rear cab wall, and doors have been fully sound deadend. Sub enclosure. 3/4" mdf used with 3 internal braces. I picked this truck up from my friend a few months ago, I was just going to make it a project truck but the transmission went out on my Dodge so I am going to drive it for a few weeks. It's a bagged 1997 GMC C-1500. It has a massive amount of motor mods, and my favorite part, a 240 amp alternator. :-) My computer has broken so I can't get on much but I will add photo's soon as I can. Idle voltage

Ok the box was started today, but had to be started later in the afternoon because the installer/builders friend was in a car accident at 3 am yesterday so I told him to take his time and when he feels ready to start on his time. So this is the progress so far. I will be getting one more gallon of resin and order a roll of 19 oz glass mat for the bracing. I am going above the window line as you all can see. I will be triple baffling the face and doubling the MDF all the way around. This thing is a beast. With one baffle the height is about 24 inches, the width is 48 inches and the length is 52 inches. Big as hell I know. lol so get ready this box is about to be beastly. I…

I'm pretty new to this website, and I'd like to thank everyone for the warm welcome. I am currently in the process of upgrading my subwoofer setup in my Yukon. I used to have 2 12" Alpine Type E and Alpine 450 watt amp. That was my first setup I ever had, and now that I know a lot more (definitely not everything) I am ready to upgrade. So ever since I saw Steeve Meeades's videos on YouTube, I've always wanted to get a BTL. Recently I've pulled the trigger on getting the stuff I need to do this. Ive paid for everythiing except for the sub itself, because I need to sell my previous setup to have enough money. I put on craigslist for $250, but every time someone offers …

  16. I have been a busy man the past month and thought I would share the results. It's been cold and wet so the pics are going to be limited. Work was more important since time was a factor. Next house will have a BIG garage. Working in the elements has it's challenges. Lets get this party started. I decided I wanted to try the XCONS out sealed and I sure am glad I did. I still have HUGE output and the SQ improved in a big way. Nice tight bass that you feel in your gut. Amazing. Dont listen to that bullchit that you need a big ported box to get the XCONS loud. That is just not true and the people saying it have no experience actually doing it. These MF'ers wang in a sealed box…

This is my build log for my 1999 Honda Accord. I will be changing out most the equipment I put in a year ago. The system installed now sounds good , But not at the decibel levels I want. So this time around I will be spending alot more on higher end eqipment to do it "better" this time so I am happy when done. So these are my goals: Basically better sounding at high volumes Higher efficiency speakers and subwoofer Block outside noises and inside rattles True low end freq repoduction (type-r doesn't hit the very bottom end) better mid-bass (maybe a 3-way) Better sounding mid-ranges and tweeters I must still have a SPARE TIRE Must still have some useable space left in tr…

In one of my intro threads I remarked it was like an old addiction. Seems as of late well for over 13 years I've mended my ways and laid down my desires for my family. What started as just a small system has resurrected the monster. I have a few goals intended for this system they are: 1. Create a clean install which is removable with minimum effort. After all this is our family car. 2. Target db level 145 3. Modular design to accept several boxes and yet remain SANITARY in installation. 4. Kid proof Covers to prevent kids from dropping stuff in ports (one reason the passive radiator is one of the designs) 5. Design for double the electrical draw. On hand purchased …
