This is the optimal design for the X Con 18. My BTL 18 is going to be going into it. I got the design from the site here, thanks SSA! I've still got a lot of sanding to do. I did all of this last weekend. I'll be finishing it up this weekend. I've still got a lot of wiring to do. I've got a 270 amp Mechman alternator to put in. I've got 50 foot of 1/0, which I'm hoping will be enough. I think I'm going to use my starting battery I've got, a Napa 70 series or something, I'll have to look at the specs and post if anyones interested. I've got a big Wal-Mart brand battery with dual terminals I'm going to put in the back. I'll probably eventually get some better batteries once…

hey i wassup i have a 2000 yukon SLT "profile pic is the truck" on 26's i wanted to do 6 SMD 15'' subs in a clamshell box tuned @ 30hz with 2-3 400a alts and 3 runs of 0 gauge wire with at least 8-12 D3100's from Xs Power batts and a ABVM from Mechman any idea's of what i should do in this bad boy i also though about doing 8-12 SA12s from Sundown audio i want to run at least 18-25krms clean power in this truck so any ideas for subs and amps that will help me achieve this goal?

What do you guys think would be best for 2 fi Bl 18" box wise. 26"H x 37"W x 30"D giving it 14 cubic feet 24"H x 36"W x 40"D giving it 17 cubic feet 24"H x 34"W x 45"D giving it 18 cubic feet I am going to be getting 2 AQ1200d for each sub. I want it to hit pretty hard. I will be posting up some pics of the build that will get chosen the most. Thanks!

custom 1997 pontiac firebird sub box and amp rack. i decided to build my box and post pics. the amp rack is also made by me. i work at lowes in the lumber dept. so i picked up our oak birch plywood for $5 for a 4x8 sheet in good condition. just was cut into 2x4 pieces and the customer decided not to buy. i have to say the install came out perfect, and it looks great in person. as if a real professional built it. im 19. and me and my dad made this in about 6-7 hours. i wrapped the boxes myself and he helped me put them together. not bad for only my 5th box build. i have to give credit to the person that created the design of the sub box that i made. it helped me alot. he p…

So this will be my second build log on this forum. I don't think I took as many pictures this time either. But here we go, here is what was originally in the car. Had this Fi BL for over 4 years now, I say its a 2008 model but I am not really for sure. Surround is messed up but the main thing, the coil is still clean. Box was given to me, tuning was ~40hz (eww) with sub installed. Had running on the RF-T1500bdCP I bought until I put in the truck, had it slamming though. ^^^^^^Yes I love 5-minute amp racks!!!! Gabe Leblanc and my self are in the process of rebuilding a 1983 Cutlass. We are in the process of doing body work at the moment. Once the car is in primer; we will moving on to the audio work. Then we will bring it back to finish the paint. We started making vids and will gradually get better at that part. lol The second update video is up. The car ia a good deal further than this currently. We should have another one up by early next week; hopefully.

Just built this a few days ago...havin some power issues so I can't put it in the car quite yet, but here's the build. Hopefully someone can help me out here... as you all know, the edges are easy to clamp down so they don't move while you are screwing them in, but how do you do the port...my port kept moving like this. What I had to do, was just glue it down, and Silicon it until it dried, THENNNN i tipped the box on its side and screwed it down, but this kinda defeats the point of the glue then.. any techniques you guys could give me?? So, I guess I should finally put this on here. First things first, my car was a theft recovery I picked up from my dad's work (he works for a local body shop) for $450. I would not call this a true build log as most of the work is already completed, but of course I am proud of the work I have done to the vehicle. Mechman was kind enough to custom machine a case including powder coating (Mechman Orange) and build me this alternator since it's a rare request for a hyundai santa fe. They had it built from scratch and shipped inside of two weeks! Anyways, a good friend of mine is a certified master mechanic and has some time on the weekend, so he is going to install this for me. It's in a really tough spot IMO, bottom front corner of the engine bay, and believe me, it's stuffed in there. On to the Pictures!

Apart from that, any input is welcome, being an installer Im always looking to improve my work. Baffles are made from 1/2" mdf. More photos to come within the next few days.

This box is a rebuild due to his last box apparently never being built correctly. A 15yr old guy on ca.com that seems to do decent work built his last box, but it was rattling from day one and Ben thought it was the sub, and I, telling him the whole time it sounded like either his hatch or the box. Either way, the top plate of the box seperated from the enclosure walls and really rattled, making this setup un-playable. So we decided to build him a new one. Hi, after i got my new car i thought of building something small, possibly stealth... I found some pics of the same car as mine on the internet.. So i ordered a Dual 2 Fi SSD 10 some days ago and great surprise, i got mail :bigclap: (Thanks to BladeIce) I started building a little enclosure for the sub, about 1 cu @ 35 Hz... OEM integration: Enclosure Finished Wosk great, but it only plays the low notes nice, with high tones i have loud air tourbulences, but why??? Pleaaase help me!!

Strange looking end grain from lowes Lumber department..... Double Baffle, Split front baffle, etc. Edges rounded over 1/4 inch for 2 Nightshade 12's and 4kw Thoughts?
