custom 1997 pontiac firebird sub box and amp rack. i decided to build my box and post pics. the amp rack is also made by me. i work at lowes in the lumber dept. so i picked up our oak birch plywood for $5 for a 4x8 sheet in good condition. just was cut into 2x4 pieces and the customer decided not to buy. i have to say the install came out perfect, and it looks great in person. as if a real professional built it. im 19. and me and my dad made this in about 6-7 hours. i wrapped the boxes myself and he helped me put them together. not bad for only my 5th box build. i have to give credit to the person that created the design of the sub box that i made. it helped me alot. he p…

Hi guys. Want to share with you some pictures of my car. This is my 2007 Mazda CX-7 that I'm building to compete in USACi SQ shows in Mexico and the USA. I'm part of Team Hybrids, the competition branch of Hybrid Audio Technologies founded by Scott Buwalda that sells some of the best speakers in the world. This is my CX-7. The Head Unit is an Alpine W205. The music travels to the back via a fiber optic cable and also via Ai-Net cable, where it's processed in an Alpine H701, and sent to five JL Audio amplifiers hidden under a false floor. So this will be my second build log on this forum. I don't think I took as many pictures this time either. But here we go, here is what was originally in the car. Had this Fi BL for over 4 years now, I say its a 2008 model but I am not really for sure. Surround is messed up but the main thing, the coil is still clean. Box was given to me, tuning was ~40hz (eww) with sub installed. Had running on the RF-T1500bdCP I bought until I put in the truck, had it slamming though. ^^^^^^Yes I love 5-minute amp racks!!!! Gabe Leblanc and my self are in the process of rebuilding a 1983 Cutlass. We are in the process of doing body work at the moment. Once the car is in primer; we will moving on to the audio work. Then we will bring it back to finish the paint. We started making vids and will gradually get better at that part. lol The second update video is up. The car ia a good deal further than this currently. We should have another one up by early next week; hopefully.

So, I guess I should finally put this on here. First things first, my car was a theft recovery I picked up from my dad's work (he works for a local body shop) for $450. It's a 2004 Ford Focus SE 2.3l dark blue. I don't really know why but I don't have a pic of the car? Anyway, what do you do with a focus with 200,000 mi? Make it run of course... I would not call this a true build log as most of the work is already completed, but of course I am proud of the work I have done to the vehicle. Mechman was kind enough to custom machine a case including powder coating (Mechman Orange) and build me this alternator since it's a rare request for a hyundai santa fe. They had it built from scratch and shipped inside of two weeks! Anyways, a good friend of mine is a certified master mechanic and has some time on the weekend, so he is going to install this for me. It's in a really tough spot IMO, bottom front corner of the engine bay, and believe me, it's stuffed in there. On to the Pictures!

A little build we are doing at the shop, decided to take some pictures so here it goes. JL Clean sweep Two sets of JL C5 6.5" Coaxial Speakers JL HD 600/4 JL HD 1200/1 Two 10" JL W6v3 Here are a couple pictures of how the doors are looking, (I know about the deadner, We dont need that much but the customer already bought it before hand, and wanted me to use it all. This box is a rebuild due to his last box apparently never being built correctly. A 15yr old guy on ca.com that seems to do decent work built his last box, but it was rattling from day one and Ben thought it was the sub, and I, telling him the whole time it sounded like either his hatch or the box. Either way, the top plate of the box seperated from the enclosure walls and really rattled, making this setup un-playable. So we decided to build him a new one. Hi, after i got my new car i thought of building something small, possibly stealth... I found some pics of the same car as mine on the internet.. So i ordered a Dual 2 Fi SSD 10 some days ago and great surprise, i got mail :bigclap: (Thanks to BladeIce) I started building a little enclosure for the sub, about 1 cu @ 35 Hz... OEM integration: Enclosure Finished Wosk great, but it only plays the low notes nice, with high tones i have loud air tourbulences, but why??? Pleaaase help me!!

i never posted this when i first installed it all over a year ago. originally it was supposed too stay small, but that went out the window. so i will just post some of the older photos first just too give an idea of what it was. in the pics i show only one of many different sub stage setups. the original idea was the pdx 1200rms amp that put out rated from 2 to 4 ohms, so i could run at least one of every type of sub i have as i please. this is my ride this was the equipment. this was the most common sub stage i used with the pdx amp, it is a passive setup, i would rotate from the sdx15 pictured, an eclipse 3hp ti, or a tc3000. and this below is were it stands as of n…
