I noticed I never posted this here and thought some here who don't visit the other site may enjoy it. It's and old school RF build in my wifes Camry. She wanted all old school RF equipment because she liked the look of them when I used them in her first car in the early to mid 90s. I couldn't argue because I like their performance. I chose IB on the subs to keep as much trunk for her as possible. The only piece that isn't old school is the 3sixty. I couldn't see using a symmetry unit over the 3sixty. Symmetry was only a little less than getting the 3sixty and the 3sixty has way more flexibility. Equipment.

i promise, this is the final plan. i was talking with Little Jon (white van, 16 12" ssd's) and hes like just wall it, and that gave me some ideas, so i just got home, measured in the back, and this is what i came up with. of course im not sure on the port yet, or what subs, deff not gonna be like the truck though. its going to be built outside the car, and slide right in and bolt to the floor. it will be completely removeable, and the seats will be able to be put right back in, if i ever decide to take the wall out. all the side trim, etc is staying in, and nothing is getting screwd thru it, or cut, or anything like that to mess it up. it will be right up to the front sea…

Nevermind, found it Stealth FTMFW! It's not going to win any best install awards anytime soon....but I was pretty happy with myself for finding that little cubby area to hide it in And yes....everything is dirty and I need to clean. And come to think of it.......I actually think this is the first time I've posted any pics of any of my installs on the forums

This might be a semi slow build, I have most of the equipment, but I do need a few other things to complete it all. I traded my truck in on a 2012 VW Passat about 6 months ago and I've had a stock stereo since. This will be my first time building a ported box, fis\rst experience with a processor (360.3) and my first experience with a 15" sub (SSA X-CON). The X-CON is Dual 1 ohm, so it should be good on the DC 5.0K at 2 ohms (2300 watts nominal). I am keeping the stock head unit, but adding a Rockford Fosgate 360.3 to control everything. The door speakers will be RF T1675's for now powered by a Kicker 350.4. Knuconceptz wire, XS batteries, Dakota Digital volt meter, Secon…

Couldn't take not having bass any longer. Pulled the trigger on a B-stock Sundown X12D2 from EMF. Going to order a Shark Audio SHKAMP-2500D today from ebay for $99 shipped to power it with till I can get a better amp. Seen this as I was putting away the box. Explains the B-stock designation. I'm guessing they smudged the finish as seen here:

So far I have made some mounting brackets for the hertz mids and my amp rack. more pics and updates will follow but I don't have alot of time to work on my car so finishing this will be slow going. Here is how I made my brackets. The green marks the angle…

So after a long time of admiring and contemplating the ssa evil, I was pleastly surprised that they offer it in 12" now. Did a lot of question asking, researching and lucky for me the tax sale started , so I finally went ahead and purchased two and a pair of the evil Mids. Because of the build time it gives me time to stack up some money for an amp to push it. Ive tried searching for info on these but there's not that many info I was able to find on the 12s and on the mids. So I'll be sure to get some vids up and post my experience with it to help any future bass heads who wanna know more about these. Can't wait, it was a hard decision between these and the …

I also have the box ported and built to specs. The only thing i need to do is carpet the box. I have all 0 gauge wire. My lights dim badley. I upgraded just the grpund wire in my hood with 0 guage and it stoped the dimming and could let me listen more. Just 1 problem.... How come when im listening to songs with really loud bass like beamer benz or bentley my system stops hitting for 3 seconds and then continues to hit, but if my volume is down it doesent stop.. Why is that? OHH by the way people think i have 4 s…

Hello All! I was able to trick Santa again this year, and he kept me on the nice list. With some help from the gents at SSA, he brought me 2 new XCon 12s....WooHoo!! It's finally time for me to get building and put these suckers to use. This will be my first time building a box, but this creates a perfect excuse to buy more tools. I would like to reach out to you guys and get some experienced advice to help in my first quality build The car is a 2008 Pontiac G6 GT Coupe. It has the Bose Monsoon system, which isn't terrible for a factory unit. Unfortunately, all of the cars display features are integrated in the factory's HU display. For this reason I will be k…

Had this in a 1.35f^3 sealed box and it got down...but I felt like it wanted and needed more So I put her in a 2.5f^3 tuned ~33hz and WOW!!! couldn't be happier. I can't believe a $200 sub can play this loud and clean. Everyone who hears it always is impressed at how clear the bass is and that it is only 1 12" sub. This was my first box design from the ground up. would do a few things differently if I could do it over but overall I am happy with the results...
