Ok this is for a buddy of mine ... I am helping him with his build in lifted 1999 F250... it will be 2 15in icons in 8cubes tunned to 32hrz with 128sqin of port. big three and dual batts aslong as amps and front stage will be determined later once funding is here.. shouldnt be longer that two months. for now it will be off a pos dhd2000 with what ever he has as frontstage and deck. here is a pic of the box tell me what u guys think and if we should go with this design the space ontop of the port is blocked to cut down the box size.. i still got .88 cubes to play with and some bracing to add.

  12. We shopped for a Buick Rendezvous or Pontiac Aztac so we could get >18 cubes and still have room for kids, grocieries and such and avoid getting a minivan. Explorers, Blasers, Bravadas, and the like we'ren't nearly enough. Basically we are walling the hatchback. >20 cubes, 8" port. This is temporary until a 21" or 22" driver of similar specs is finished. ( >30mm Xmax, <20Hz Fs) I originally designed it to have the sub on top and port on bottom, but once the 22" is in, side by side works better.

Alright well, this is my second real system. My first one was a package deal with sony xplods!!!!! hah anyways, they sounded good for the price but after a LONG time of thinking, and I'm talking very long, I decided on the BTL. I have most of the stuff for the install, but this will be a pretty long one due to school, and my resources. I have an 02 explorer xlt. Here is a pic of it: I already have the remote wire, and the RCA's installed on the stock head unit (upgrading that later when I get more $$), and a 200 amp alternator. Heres what has to go in: (2 batterys) (third battery, can't decide if I want to put all 3, just the other two, or just this one?) I'll …

Here's a simple install in my 90 325i. I was on a budget since this is pretty much my daily beater car. Sub, amp, wires, and materials all totaled around $150 but still sounds clean and clear. Plays loud enough for my tastes as well. Guessing around 120db. Will use a cheesy Radio Shack meter on the dash to get a rough estimate when I have a spare moment. Main goal was to keep it compact and still sound good. Didn't need earth shattering, just clean and clear. I can still rattle my side views and rear view pretty damn good though if desired. Equipment details. Kenwood KDC-X889 HU. Alpine Type R 3 ways up front. JL Audio 12w4-4 bridged on a POS Sony Xplod (inse…

Well, I finally got around to taking pictures. I'm a senior at my school, so pretty much I have free reign over the wood shop. Haha. I got started about a week ago on this box, but just kept forgetting to take pictures along the way, and luckily after talking to Nick at IA I remembered to bring my camera to school today. So far the box has 7 layers of glass (with a layer of fleece coated in resin on both sides), and I have yet to figure up exact specs, but I'm estimating around 2.5 cubes with a 6" aero that will be tuned to probably 34 hz. The original box I had in my truck was built by me a little over a year ago, and housed a Fi Bl 12. But it had a 3" aero and was sever…

Sup folks? I took out the dayton ho 10s and cadence txa6004s to downsize some. Purchased a Kicker 06ZX700.5 for amp duty and (2) Sundown E8's for subs. decided to run them sealed since the objective was to save space. guess we will see if i can deal with it. lol. so equipment will be alpine 9887 (running active 2 way front stage) kicker zx700.5 mach 5 mli-65s in factory door location (well deadened) seas neo textiles in the kicks 2 sundown e8's Goals for this were to downsize and save some space and still get decent output, and clean up the wiring some. Will eventually pull the 0awg and go with some 4awg (for now itll just be the 0awg to a dist. block with 4 off of…

I started a building for the two DP21"s a couple days ago. They'll be powered by four JL 1000/1v2's. Also doing a couple layers of Damplified Pro on the roof. Should be done this weekend or next week depending on what kind of distractions come up. What it's all going in. Everything. It was a bit breezy. Port. That's all I have done right now, more pics coming tomorrow.
