I've been looking for something to replace my Ford F150. Honestly folks, Its a Money Pit. Can't build the system for having to stop and fix shit. So while I was going through a small town towing a big truck to it's owner, Something For Sale caught my eye and I had to have it !!! Here it is Folks !!! A 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche !!! I've always wanted one !!! I know, Not a "all bells and whistles" ride, but well suitable for what I want. Honestly, the only thing I want to add on the exterior is a bad ass set of 20" wheels and tires. I could have got a new truck, but they don't make an Avalanche any more and I did not want to pay those High as…

I don't know how much longer the weather will hold so I'm trying to get this done quickly. I don't have anything to listen to right now except for the tires that need to be replaced. I've been working on this for ~ 4 days now, of and on. There have been many on this forum, too many to list, that have given suggestions on equipment and others that pushed me in the right direction in my mid bass thread. Thanks to all of you!! I soon will have a front stage that makes me want to just go out and listen again. The head unit >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Eclipse AV 8533 for now. Fountek FR88's.................powered by a JL 300/2............…

It's finally time to re-do some things. Should be selling some stuff this weekend, which means I'm going to buy some plywood and build some diffrent enclosures for the mains (also put the HDS tweeters to use). Porting the ca18's should bring out a bit more mid-bass Since the Rl-i is going in the car because of space limitations and I've always wanted an 18, I'm going to replace it with an xxx. I've already started the box for it...here is where I am now : 1 inch mdf, undecided wether to flush mount it or not (baffle is going to be double). Still need a couple more braces and a magnet support after seeing how fragile is the basket, more precisely the mounting lip. ]

new stuff: HU: nakamichi cd-400 boston pro60's up front jbl gto936's in back 12" 05 xxx probably kicker amps. putting all the h/k stuff on ebay as a package, except the harnesses becuase its too hard to remove it without messing something up lol (cd changer, hu, h/k amp, speakers, aux input) made the rings for the 6.5s. i traced the factory outer part of the baffle and cut that out, then cut out the middle hole for my boston pro60 mids to fit in. im gonna have to figure out how to make the tweets fit in. the rings: bought this panasonic cq-c7413u HU, its decent, i hooked it up and drove over a brick road going 50+, and it only skipped once or twice. but i dont like how…

Ok here I go again with another truck box build. This box will be house a single 12" driver either my SI Claw Mag 12" or my Sonic FX Q 12" depending on which performs better. Specs are as follow, 2.54@30Hz 20"^2 of port Really hoping to get some gut pounding lows out of this box. My current box hits them decent but I want better more defined lows. So enough talk, on with the pics.... Just started this build tonight. Got a good chunk done. Right now everything is being dry fitted before I get all glue happy. It will be put together with screws and TightBond II. Sub will be set back into the box to allow for space for excursion. Still debating on going round or …

As the title says, i have a 1986 F150 Regular cab. With this modle truck their really isn't really any room behind the bench seat to put a sub with out being on top of the steering wheel, and not cutting a hole in the back of my cab. This is about my 5Th box I have built for my truck. Ok no more talking, on to the build Head Unit: Alpine 9885 ($60 at best buy, on clearence brand new) Subwoofer: 12" shallow mount Pioneer FTW 3.25" mounting depth Amplifier: 1400W hitron bridged at 4 ohms (getting replaced with a sundown 1000d soon) And the truck that all of this is going into Been in the family since brand new, with 131,xxx miles on it, still runs and drive…

Ok so this is my first time trying to build an enclosure on my own so it will probably end up looking a little rough. I started cutting yesterday and some of the pieces didnt turn out so well so I'm re-doing a few today. I will have some pics up later tonight when I finish. The enclosure will be right around 1ft^3 with a 3inch aeroport after all displacements. I'll be picking up either a 10'' Icon or 10'' bl when I get some more money. I'm looking for a daily pounder that can replace two 12'' kappa perfects that were sealed. Do the flared precision ports need a special type of 90 degree elbow in order to make a bend or can I just use any old elbow?

This is the car that got me the name audio-neon. The car that started it all. It took me 2 years to pay off. It lived several iterations of equipment, and it was my baby. The journey starts in December of 2004. I was a Junior in High School and I received this car fresh in paint, completely rebuilt. It was my baby. A 1998 Dodge Neon Coupe 2-door. In 2004 I added polk dB series coaxials. 6.5" in front and 6x9 in the rear. By late 2005 I was getting an itch for more. I went to my local car Audio shops and decided that Audio Obsessions was the place for me. Top notch customer service, and they were professional. They added a jvc 2 channel amp and a 12" Eclipse subwoofer. …

Ok I so I bought this truck a month and ago. It is a 2007 ram quad cab 1500. Basic 17" wheels and base stereo with a powerseat. I bought the 20" wheels and tires that you see on it. The wheels were $325 for the set. I work for a car dealership and got the tires for $500. 275/55/20. My plans are: 1. stereo system 2. lower it 3. cold air intake 4. Just in the mean time take the nerf bars off and all the badges are removed. Oh yeah the system is in my signature but here ya go. Kenwood x998 Hertz energy esk 165.5 comps Hertz deici 130.3 coax rear fill Jl XD500/3 80x2 for the fronts and 300x1 at 2ohms for the subs Jl 10w0v3 svc 4 x2 I also got the HU inst…

I figured it was time to start a build log as I'm hoping this setup will stay in my car for a bit. Over the past year I have changed setups more times than I can count. I have yet to be completely happy with my system as a whole, so I sold everything aside from my Pioneer 880, and decided to start from scratch. My main goal is to have a system that sounds good to me with the ability to get fairly loud for when I'm in the mood. This will most likely take at least a month to complete as I still need to decide what subs to go with, then add build time. I should have some pics of the gear, and progress pics up by tomorrow. So far I have purchased the following: Head unit: Pio…
