Well, I decided I'd go ahead and post up my vehicle and stereo setup. It's nothing big, but it works for now. 2008 Saturn Vue Factory HU Factory door speakers Tsunami and Power Q 4 gauge wiring MTX RFL600D Clarion SW1051 The amp and LOC were installed by L&H Mobile Electronics of Topeka, KS. Good bunch of guys there. I bought the amp used for a very good price. I also found the pair of Clarion subs BNIB for an awesome price so I snatched them up. Only running one for now, and I'm not sure if or when I'll ever install the second one. I'm very impressed with the performance of this sub. Not at all what I expected. I do plan on upgrading the door speakers, but I…

The vehicle is a 2008 Kia Sorento LX The enclosure was build by Audible Customs. It's tuned to 32Hz The Subs are SA-12s The wiring is all Knu Kolossus Fleks. NOTE: This is a comparison pic from the 4 gauge I used in my last build. The amp is a SAZ-2000D purchased from the presale. The battery is a Batcap 2000. The box installed... I'm using an Eclipse headunit with nav and ipod. And lastly my bass remote.

I finally got a new truck. Now I need to get my system in it lol. I jammed some Inffinty reference 61/2 coaxials in the doors today just so I had some tunes. Next the back seats come out and the subs go in. Any one got any ideas on how I can mount my JBL 61/2 component's in the doors without them free airing and not hacking the shit out of the doors? here right some pictures of my truck and gear

I've driven around my 2006 altima about six months now listening to the factory BOSE system. While it is nice, I felt it somewhat lacking. Thus I began my search. I've come to decide that I would like to build an SQ oriented daily driver from scratch with my only contraint being time. I'll have to tackle this in the few hours I have after work in the evenings. Enough of my life story, on to the build. Source Alpine IVA-W200 with video bypass, bluetooth interface, and IPOD adapter. (Shipping) Alpine PXA-H701 (Planned) eD Nine.5 & Nine.4 - can't complain much, they were free BNIB from my brother-in-law. Front Stage Second Skin Damplifier Pro and Luxury Liner (Planned) …

So i just purchased a 12" fi q and while i wait for it to come in i would like to build the box for it. I want to build a ported box that will give it a real good sound when it pumps but i don't want it to but too large. If anyone has plans of their own or can suggest a site where i can get them for free (or fairly cheap) that would be great.

System 1: For me 12" FI BTL UFO DVC 1 OHM wired to .5 OHM Old School MMATS DHCx2200.05 amp = 2200wrms @.5 OHM & 13.8v or 2300wrms with 14.4v Box tuned to 34hz This system isn't currently installed.. it was in the trunk of my Jaguar for many years and it sounded good and got loud (Not competition loud) I never had it metered so I'm not sure what the SPL was probably 140ish.. I'm going to be installing it in my Ford Explorer pretty soon. System 2: For my wife MA 3600wrms amp thats overrated due to the fact that they rated it at 17volts. The amp is approx 3000wrms at 14.4 volts. Not the greatest amp...But I got a good deal, I picked this up for $150 used off craigslist.…

Picked up another Orphan 8" from Mike a couple weeks ago. These things are badass. Here is the box. & the port & to fully understand the design, Box is .91cuft tuned to 30hz, and so far I think it really likes this box. Just finished it tonight so I didnt get to really crank it up (wife yelled at me for shaking the house at 11pm ) but it has a great sound to it. I will post a vid when I get a chance.

Figured id share this here since all of the equipment came from various sources on SSA. i needed a box for my 08 frontier king cab. wanted something low profile and durable for use in a daily driver. also had to house a pair of sundown amps. turned out nice, and the bedliner means i wont have to worry about pucking it up too much. click the thumbnails and they get bigger and that brings me to where im at today. got everything installed and wired up. just gotta finish trimming it out and break everything in. not worried about chasing the elusive deebeez so its around 2.5cf ported right about 30hz. so far it blends okay with the seas components with the amp turned way…

Built this for a Atomic AP/SPL. Sub is getting built with FI parts. Sub parts should be here tuesday and box is ready. This is going to be powered with an audiopipe 1500d and is going in a 2010 honda accord sedan. About 3.3 cubes tuned to 35hz with a single 6" aeroport. I'll be adding some polyfill to see how much better it would sound for the owner. Maybe about 3 lbs worth.

Alright Ive been bored after work this week, so Ive decided to build a bandpass box for my 10" z-5500 woofer and see how it sounds. This is my first bandpass box so I went with the 3/1 ratio. Designed by me of course, tuned to 40 hz with 15 sq in of port per cube. On to the equipment! Who ever said all prefabs are bad????? Me giving it a quick sanddown Heres what the rest of it looks like. I built these little boxes during the winter (while I was bored also) They get hella loud Will eventually paint it, but good enough for now! It hits a hell of a lot lower and louder than the original prefab box.

Here is the build I did a couple of weekends ago for a kid I used to work with. It's 5 cubic feet after all displacements tuned to 34Hz. He's running both off of my old Cadence TXA1000D. They are getting a little less than 500 watts a piece. Looking to upgrade to a 1500-2000 watt amp sometime soon. T-nuts are amazing. Round over on the top edge. Bolt terminals. A little woofer porn for all of you. 10" Sundown Audio SD1-v2 10" SSA Icon 12" Fi Car Audio Q And, I know I'll get hated if I don't post videos. So here you are you whores. It's pretty loud. Should get quite a bit louder when we double the power. EDIT: Fixed a picture.

Started on these around a week ago and decided to show my progress on here as well. I have posted these on http://www.fiberglassforums.com as well, where I have been doing alot of reading and picking up alot of great info. But this will be slow but constant as i don't get alot of time to work on them right now. So onto the pics... 1st getting the door ready to be cut.. now with the door cut.. And some of the ribs ground off... made a template out of carboard for the shape and cut the base out of birch ply so I can mount it by screws from the back.... Now trying to decide what location of the speakers I prefer, choice 1.. Or choice 2, which is what I think I am go…

I built a ported box for my rlp-12. It's 2.2 cubes tuned to whatever it is. The port is 34 inches long and goes from 1.5 inches at the start to 3.5 inches at the end, i don't know if that would change the tuning or not. I based it off a 2.5 inch port and took an inch off of the beginning and added one on the end.. Outside dimensions are 22.5 x 22.5 x 14.5 inches. Im not going to do anything else to this box cuz im gonna scrap it. My gear my box having some fun with the box my half ass install doesn't the box just look all pretty. im gonna make a different one for the sub. This is the best sub i've ever heard. I just wanted to take it out for a quick 20 minute driv…

It has been far too long since I have had a vehicle that I could do a build in, so I'm super excited to be working on this. The pieces that you can't see are the SS Damp and Overkill in the doors. Equipment as of right now consists of DLS components up front running active off a Sundown SAX 100.4, 2 SoundSplinter Orphan8's powered by a Zapco Ref 750.2, with an Eclipse CD8443 for a head unit. Wiring is from Knu with 1/0 for power and ground, 4 gauge distro'd to the amps, 12 gauge for speaker wire. I'll be replacing the Zapco with a Sundown 1500D when I save up a little more, since the Zapco is my brother's and he's just loaning it to me at the moment. I stabbed a hole i…
