im getting 2 18'' ssa icons:) i have a 1996 jeep grand cherokee im thinking about walling it off ported box i want it to be insanely loud,and i have 1 d3400xs powered batt probly getting one more, so if any suggestions let me know thanks.

I have finally decided to start on a new setup. 12" Sundown Nightshade Sundown 1500D on the way Rockford Punch 500x 6.5 Infinity Kappa Component set 6x9 Infinity Kappas 0 Gauge wiring 1 Kinetik 2400 on the way I have already dynamated the doors and the trunk lid. It started raining yesterday before I had a chance to take pics. My girl lost my camera somewhere, so I had to use my cell phone. It rained today too, so I decided to work on the box. Ported Box: 1.6 cbft tuned to 34hz The big piece of wood is part of the double baffle and to wall of the trunk. More pics coming soon!

Bought this car about year and a half ago, did some chip tuning, exhaust and intake work just for daily driving. Some time later I felt like why not add a small subwoofer in the car and bought SPL Dynamics amplifier with Ground Zero 12" sub. Well the sub never made it to car. Started this box Saturday evening for a customer. He has an 03 or 06 or something Expedition with the 3rd Row and was wanting something custom back there. first thought was to do a fiberglass amp rack in between teh woofers. After an initial test fit it was outta the question. Circles arent perfect as my jasper jig wont be here until tomorrow and i still have a few more things to do before he pics it up tomorrow. My first build was not posted here since it was before I found this awsome site but I will post a few pics of it. I recieved my Sundown SAE 1200 amp today and awaiting the 2 SSA Icon 12d1 subs. The box will be ported instead of sealed this time with subs firing up, still poundering on port location. Should I go out the side on bottom or up also? The box will be approx. 4.1 cubs tuned to 30hz. Picking up wood tomorrow after work and hopefully start cutting sat mornin. getting a new ride (hopefully a subaru wagon). anywho im looking to build a daily pounder might do some local shows. i was looking at a 5k2 and 2 zcons but finances are kinda tight to drop like 2k on gear. any suggestions would be appreciated or maybe someone stepped up to the evils and has a pair of 12's or 15's sitting in the basement or an old 5k amp . not hooked on ssa subs but i love the fact they are us made. looking to buy within days. sorry if its the wrong section. suggestions..tips.. tricks?

This was my original set up. The box was 1.6cuft plus port and tuned to 33Hz. The piece on the right was my amp rack. One problem though with a baby on the way, I need room for the car seat and stroller and I also need to be able to remove the sub for extra space with out loosing all my music! So i built something a little different Counter sunk sub cut out using 3/4" MDF sandwhiched with 1/2" MDF Metal grill insert to allow heat to disapate. The amps have been moved into a false floor to free up more space The new box is 2.6 cuft tuned to 33Hz and goes stupid low! Hi, im new to competition quality amps and subs. and Im turning 18 on May 20th. so I was wondering what would be recommended with a budget of 1500$? ive been looking at companies such as Sundown and DC Audio but not everything is price listed. what I am basically wondering is what is the best I can do with this budget?? please let me know.

This is about 2-3 weeks pre build. But I finally got pics so there gettin posted. when the build begins ill just add to this thread. here is what ive got my hands on so far... all Knukonceptz wire.. 8gauge,4 gauge and 1/0, rca's, fuses, remote, all connectors 220A Alternator This is the only thing i bought used in the entire build so far. has a small scratch on the front, but powers up and sounds good, price was un beatable so i had to get it one more kinetik and some deadener and this all gets put into the vehicle..i would have a picture of the tahoe but it looks like shit right now, maybe another day

hi guys im buying a 15 in btl n2 (i used to have a 12 btl n2 but some one rear ended me) but i was planning a box and i want a crx box....but i was curious if the sub placement is best over the back by the port or towards the front....just fyi i like the wow factor i doubt it will go on a meter...oh and the port is gonna be centered on the box with a soundstream 2000d

well i got bored tonight and put my cd player in. ill just get a few pictures of it in tonight. tomorrow i have to run the usb to the glove box and secure the dash kit but i was anxious to get started. tomorrow after i get the cd player finished im gonna start on the box build. its not going to be anything spectacular but hopefully keeps me happy for a while. gonna get the box built and hopefully the sub and amp will be in wednesday and ill get pictures and hopefully a video up. i know the type r coaxials arent the greatest but with this cd player its so much of an improvement over my shitty ass stock ive had in there for a while. cd player is the pioneer deh 7400hd

So after ordering parts and doing some small work here and there since August 09, i finally decided to start this build log. It's my first real build. Everything else prefab boxes and no electrical upgrades needed. (two set-ups off of a Crunch p1100.2. my favorite set-up was 2 12" mtx tr55 in mtx ported box). So this current build is a big, giant step for me. All the equipment is in my signature. It's my first box build and i went off of some dimensions that i received here on the forum.
