Got a friend that has a 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 Classic and he already had some JL Audio ZR components installed (if you would even call them installed.The work was HORRRRIBLE).He initially came to me wanting as much CLEAN,LOW bass as possible without having to cut into the bed or giving up any seat space.I immediately thought of the Digital Designs 1008b's.After a few phone calls with Steve over at DD we got something worked up mapped out.After popping a few panels inside and seeing the pitiful quality of the work inside, my buddy agreed to let me strip everything out and re-install all the existing equipment. So, build logs aren't really my thing. For one, my fabrication skills are easily bested by a monkey on narcotics. Second, I simply don't have the patience to stop and take pictures when I'm in the middle of doing something. But, a couple people have asked so......here it is. hey guys, i just joined this forum so i figured i would introduce myself with a build log. i built this for 149.9 bassracing but i just as i finished everything, i moved to a place where there is no dbdrag so... damn. lol. but for some reason i like being a little different, so im trying to do it with a pair of 12"s. there is a sundown 1500 in most of these pics because thats what i started with. the crescendo amps are new. specs. 2x 12" DC level 4XLs 2x Crescendo 3ks box is 4^ft tuned to 38hz, 2x 6" aeros. my buddy James cutting the holes. glueing on the second baffle. i dont think i used enough clamps... i still had more i just made this thing to keep eyes …

I am rebuilding a box for my HST-15. My current box sounds great, but there are a few things I wish I had done differently. So I thought I would do it again with the improvements made. Here is the box design. The box is 28" tall x 16" wide x 25" deep. I will be in the back seat of my 2008 Tundra. I have had the rear bench seat modified. Basically the middle seat was cut out so the box sits in between the rear seats. I will be powering it with a Taramp's HD 3000.1 with the duel 2 ohm voice coils wired to 1 ohm.

I am downgrading to have room for my work/ new children. I removed almost everything about a year ago and finally have time to put things in. I have a 6 month old and another on the way, so I have to haul around a lot of kid stuff right now, as well as tools and equipment for work. Box will be ~10ft net with about 115sq of port. It's a bit small, but I need 1/2 of the back for cargo, and I figure it should be fine with the power I'm planning on using and box rise and all. I will have 10 runs of 1/0- Knu Fleks, Shok industries. Only 4 D 3100s for now, but I will be running good alt power. It's an old beater minivan for my everyday vehicle, but I'm just trying to have some fun. I started this today before I tried to change my window motor assembly and realized it was a dud. Crap. Try that again next week I guess. First time ever applying sound deadener and I should have ordered the wheel with the damplifier lite. Will be buying it soon with more damplifier for my geo as it was a bitch by hand. Took a little while but got part of the inside panel done. It will be a slow project and the other door will be done with the other window motor. Not broken but getting slower these days. Long time no see. Gonna bring you up to speed on a current project I have going on. It's an 07 Silverado xcab on 24s. I am putting all Crescendo in this where I can. Currently has a wall for two 18s but I believe plans for that have changed. He is talking walk-thru. He has 8 DC Lvl5 15s and getting more. But thats the future. Anywho, lets get some pics up.

It's not actually a build log since it took place fast and I barely had time to sleep, let alone post. So I'm posting up the pictures Equipment list: Custom car-puter, with 8" touchscreen, 8 channels of processing, lots of bells and whistles Peerless SLS 8's A few 3" full-ranges to chose from: TB W3, Fountek FR88, Fountek FR89 and some Faitals Seas H1396 tweeters Nakamichi amps: two 4x100w and one 1200w mono Subwoofer will be a BTL 15, as soon as the recone gets here. The install is for a friend, we both worked on it for 7 days, getting ~12 hrs of work / day and it should have happened 2 years ago. Other things got in the way and we only managed to do it this summer.
