I am downgrading to have room for my work/ new children. I removed almost everything about a year ago and finally have time to put things in. I have a 6 month old and another on the way, so I have to haul around a lot of kid stuff right now, as well as tools and equipment for work. Box will be ~10ft net with about 115sq of port. It's a bit small, but I need 1/2 of the back for cargo, and I figure it should be fine with the power I'm planning on using and box rise and all. I will have 10 runs of 1/0- Knu Fleks, Shok industries. Only 4 D 3100s for now, but I will be running good alt power. For now I have 2 alts and an MLA module (300a @ idle, 15.6v), soon to be going with D…

  4. Got a friend that has a 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 Classic and he already had some JL Audio ZR components installed (if you would even call them installed. The work was HORRRRIBLE).He initially came to me wanting as much CLEAN,LOW bass as possible without having to cut into the bed or giving up any seat space.I immediately thought of the Digital Designs 1008b's.After a few phone calls with Steve over at DD we got something worked up mapped out. After popping a few panels inside and seeing the pitiful quality of the work inside, my buddy agreed to let me strip everything out and re-install all the existing equipment. Now, on with the pics...... I'll see what I can ge…

So it was time for some destruction! Things are slow as I have to work around wacthing my son but it is coming along. Now on to the pics......Before the carniage! That's the old.

I am rebuilding a box for my HST-15. My current box sounds great, but there are a few things I wish I had done differently. So I thought I would do it again with the improvements made. Here is the box design. The box is 28" tall x 16" wide x 25" deep. I will be in the back seat of my 2008 Tundra. I have had the rear bench seat modified. Basically the middle seat was cut out so the box sits in between the rear seats. I will be powering it with a Taramp's HD 3000.1 with the duel 2 ohm voice coils wired to 1 ohm.

  13. Okay, so as I'm waiting for my SA-8 to get here (as patiently as I can!) I'll put the build of my center console box for it. It's an old beater minivan for my everyday vehicle, but I'm just trying to have some fun. I don't have the area or tools to do the kind of work I'm used to being able to put out (maybe I'll share some of those pics sometime) since I'm working on some flimsy stands with a jigsaw, circular saw, and sander, but it'll do for this project. And so I begin... The wood...good old 3/4" MDF The sides cut out Test fit of sides

Gonna be doing a simple but effective build in my new dually. I just want a decent sounding setup that doesnt break the bank. Plans........ Big 3 Pioneer head unit Probably JL components (i really liked the C5's I put in another build) Custom glassed sealed kick panels 4 channel amp on mids/highs BC 2000 on sub(s) maybe.... unless I choose a big 4 channel to power it all. Looking at running a single 12 or two 10's sealed (space very limited), Sub choices are limited to somewhat shallow subs. I may do the Sundown SD's since I have heard them first hand and they sound ok. Vehicle and photos of interior

  16. My name is Kyle Golden, im 17, and this is my 1994 GMC Yukon. It was fully built by me at age 16. The only thing i did notdo completly by myself was the paint and prep. My parents bought the original vehicle for me for 2k before i even had my license. I had been installing for almost a year at that time and learned all of my knowledge from fiends at local shops, 10 years worth of CA&E magazines, and numerous online forums and tutorial sites. I began work on it in May of 2007 and started by complety gutting the entire vehicle. ever since i began lookin at pictures in CA&E when i was liek 5 i had always had a vision of MY system in my head. 17. Im building a box for two SA-15's to go in a 2006 honda crv. I will be running them off a HFI 1500D and extra battery. I got the enclosure design from the ssa store and am hoping it works out good. The enclosure is going to be double flushed with bracing and tuned to 35 hz at 8 cubes. My goal is to hit 145 db+ and will upgrade alternator and amp in the future. Im going to post pics of my box build and system should be in by late april. Stay posted and if u have any suggestions or comments don't hesitate!

It's not actually a build log since it took place fast and I barely had time to sleep, let alone post. So I'm posting up the pictures Equipment list: Custom car-puter, with 8" touchscreen, 8 channels of processing, lots of bells and whistles Peerless SLS 8's A few 3" full-ranges to chose from: TB W3, Fountek FR88, Fountek FR89 and some Faitals Seas H1396 tweeters Nakamichi amps: two 4x100w and one 1200w mono Subwoofer will be a BTL 15, as soon as the recone gets here. The install is for a friend, we both worked on it for 7 days, getting ~12 hrs of work / day and it should have happened 2 years ago. Other things got in the way and we only managed to do it this summer.

Greetings from Venezuela. This is my first topic in the forum and it's my first serious work on my car. so I would love for their opinions and to clarify my doubts. I have a pair of DD subwoofer amplified ap1500.1 1512th and the great problem I have with the box because I get 4 cubic feet net excluding subwoofer or the port, including low I get 3 cubic feet net internal excluding Port and I believe that less than 1.75 feet low with 1500 rms not going to pay anything.
