Got a friend that has a 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 Classic and he already had some JL Audio ZR components installed (if you would even call them installed.The work was HORRRRIBLE).He initially came to me wanting as much CLEAN,LOW bass as possible without having to cut into the bed or giving up any seat space.I immediately thought of the Digital Designs 1008b's.After a few phone calls with Steve over at DD we got something worked up mapped out.After popping a few panels inside and seeing the pitiful quality of the work inside, my buddy agreed to let me strip everything out and re-install all the existing equipment. hey guys, i just joined this forum so i figured i would introduce myself with a build log. i built this for 149.9 bassracing but i just as i finished everything, i moved to a place where there is no dbdrag so... damn. lol. but for some reason i like being a little different, so im trying to do it with a pair of 12"s. there is a sundown 1500 in most of these pics because thats what i started with. the crescendo amps are new. specs. 2x 12" DC level 4XLs 2x Crescendo 3ks box is 4^ft tuned to 38hz, 2x 6" aeros. my buddy James cutting the holes. glueing on the second baffle. i dont think i used enough clamps... i still had more i just made this thing to keep eyes …

I am rebuilding a box for my HST-15. My current box sounds great, but there are a few things I wish I had done differently. So I thought I would do it again with the improvements made. Here is the box design. The box is 28" tall x 16" wide x 25" deep. I will be in the back seat of my 2008 Tundra. I have had the rear bench seat modified. Basically the middle seat was cut out so the box sits in between the rear seats. I will be powering it with a Taramp's HD 3000.1 with the duel 2 ohm voice coils wired to 1 ohm.

I am downgrading to have room for my work/ new children. I removed almost everything about a year ago and finally have time to put things in. I have a 6 month old and another on the way, so I have to haul around a lot of kid stuff right now, as well as tools and equipment for work. Box will be ~10ft net with about 115sq of port. It's a bit small, but I need 1/2 of the back for cargo, and I figure it should be fine with the power I'm planning on using and box rise and all. I will have 10 runs of 1/0- Knu Fleks, Shok industries. Only 4 D 3100s for now, but I will be running good alt power. For now I have 2 alts and an MLA module (300a @ idle, 15.6v), soon to be going with D…

So, build logs aren't really my thing. For one, my fabrication skills are easily bested by a monkey on narcotics. Second, I simply don't have the patience to stop and take pictures when I'm in the middle of doing something. But, a couple people have asked so......here it is. Okay, so as I'm waiting for my SA-8 to get here (as patiently as I can!) I'll put the build of my center console box for it. It's an old beater minivan for my everyday vehicle, but I'm just trying to have some fun. I don't have the area or tools to do the kind of work I'm used to being able to put out (maybe I'll share some of those pics sometime) since I'm working on some flimsy stands with a jigsaw, circular saw, and sander, but it'll do for this project. Ok yesterday was beautiful day to do fun hook up my amp kits.. All i gonna say is It's easy and simple.. I like clean hook up.. No messing lose wires.. I rather use zip tie together look nice..

It's not actually a build log since it took place fast and I barely had time to sleep, let alone post. Im building a box for two SA-15's to go in a 2006 honda crv. I will be running them off a HFI 1500D and extra battery. I got the enclosure design from the ssa store and am hoping it works out good. The enclosure is going to be double flushed with bracing and tuned to 35 hz at 8 cubes. My goal is to hit 145 db+ and will upgrade alternator and amp in the future. I started this today before I tried to change my window motor assembly and realized it was a dud. Crap. Try that again next week I guess. First time ever applying sound deadener and I should have ordered the wheel with the damplifier lite. Will be buying it soon with more damplifier for my geo as it was a bitch by hand. Took a little while but got part of the inside panel done. It will be a slow project and the other door will be done with the other window motor. Not broken but getting slower these days.
