if I could get a brand new one for 215 shipped, is there any reason not to? I know of the SAE1200D and AQ1200D's that are 250 shipped. I have had one of these amps about 4 years ago probably, and really liked it, but are the other 2 choices way better? I know Ive heard alot of bad things about their business pracitces in years past, but just try and think of product ability when you make a choice. not going to buy my subs right now, but figured when the NINe.1 is usually way more expensive I figured Id buy it now while I can get that price.

OK OK so the new jbl amps put out 2200 watts at 1, 2, 3, 4, etc ohms right.. sooo, if i hook up 4 subs that see 1 ohm, they all get 2200 watts? or am i incorect, i mean it makes since right.

I purchased a used Kicker ZX 750.1 for really cheap that was advertised as working condition but only after the engine is turned on. I figured this problem had to be unique to to the previous owner's car but it isn't. I tested this thing in two vehicles and it turns on with the ignition but only amplifies a signal after the vehicle itself has been turned on. Furthermore, if the car is turned off without completely turning the key it will continue to work as expected. I'm here to see if anybody knows anything about this. If it's a super cheap/easy fix I'm all over it, but more than that I'm just curious as to what's up. Besides this, the amp works exactly as it should…

Ok. So I put the zcon's and the 2500d in. Now when I set the gain using the dd1 till I can get ahold of my friend with the oscope, the voltage goes down to 12.5. I have a mechman 270, big 3 in 0 gauge, ran the pos and neg from front to rear batt in 0 gauge, installed fuse in front, fuse in rear, soldered all connections. Rear batt is a diehard platinum 31m marine agm with 205 reserve, but yet when I turn volume up to around 30 out of 35, amp goes into protect mode and volts drop to 12.5. (Radio was o scoped at 40hz and 1k hz and had no clipping evident)Even at 1500 rpm. Am I missing something or is the saz2500d drawing that much amperage? Also speaker wire was 14 gauge. A…

I have been looking for differant deals to pop up for an amplifier for my next build. For power, I am looking for something close to 1kw at 2 ohm, doesn't have to be exact. The sundown sax-1200d has been an option for me from the beginning. Recently, I noticed that the Stetsom V 1K5 is on sale for pretty close to the same price as the sax-1200d. After alot of research, it appears to me that stetsom amplifiers are pretty good, reliable etc... As far as customer service, I'm sure that sundown would win that category. Either of these two amplifiers would be at the top of my budget. Would I lose anything by going with the Stetsom V 1K5? I know it is capable of a little …

I am thinking about beefing up the charging system in my ride. I have a 03' 1.7L Civic, and my amp is capable of 2500Wrms. Big three is done in 0AWG. Eventually, I would like to have a HO Alternator and multiple battery setup. What should my first step be? I feel like I should save up and get the HO Alternator first, as additional batteries, or a deep cycle battery is only a temporary solution. I have been considering purchasing a Yellowtop to put in the trunk for now, and moving it up front later after getting the HO alternator and a dedicated deep cycle for the trunk. so i got an offer ona kinetic hc2400 for 200. sounds like a good deal to me.... but i heard if you plan on running a H.O. alternator it will kill the kinetic batteries. Is this true? I wont know if i even need an alt untill i get the battery installed.

i have a budjet of 350$ im looking at the hifonics 2600 or the power acoustic 5500 does any one have any sugestions to witch is better to run my 12 fi btl daily driver 2ohm w/cooling best ?

we jsut picked up a coustic h/u at the shop..it's double din, has a built in 5" touch screen, dvd player, top load....has anyone here used or seen used coustic h/u? scott is hinting around at me putting it in place of my eclipse. it retails around $600 (which i won't be paying,lol), but that's kinda what scares me....you know, you get what you pay for? let me know if anyone knows anything, i'm going to talk to him about it later today. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Does anyone have an opinion/experience with these new Soundstream PCA100d or PCA1500d or PCA2000d? Will they hit their numbers? Are they worth 250-350? Thanks all

ive been into car audio for three years mostly kicker but i decided to upgrade i have a rd1750.1 and a sundown nightshade v1 d1 15 i am new to hi end car audio so can someone tell me what voltage my output should be to have my gain set correctly at 2 ohms which is 840 watts and at point five which is 2225 watts please would appreciate the help dont wanna clip my new set up

I had my front speakers running off of an old school Sony XM-2252HX, another one for the rear, and another for the subs...three in total. I decided to consolidate amps, and figured the Cadence F100-5 would be enough for my Image Dynamics CSX65CS components...christ was I wrong! Going from 225w down to 100w just isnt cutting it, my mid bass and highs are seriously suffering. so my friend traded some stuff and got a sealed 10" menphis sub and a jensin amp. before he traded it i had the guy install it in his car to mak sure everything worked, which it all did and sounded fine. so he traded and after running wires in my friends car and plugged everything in the power light turns on, but when tested with my DMM there is no output in the speaker terminals... here is a googled page i found on the amp... could the rca's be bad? im pretty sure they are wired right deck is an alpine CDE-102 need any other info just ask... im lost haha

Just got my system hooked up today but I have a very annoying whine or hum in the speakers. Its there with the truck running or not, but worse when it is running. I think from reading that this is a ground problem, but I have moved the amplifier ground to a few different places inside the cab of the truck, seat belt, seat mount bolt, I cant get rid of it. Can anyone help?

will the ppi black ice 800.4 be enough to run a set of alpine type r components up front and a ssa dcon off the rear 2 channels bridged? or should I plan to invest in a second amp also are there any electrical changes that have to be made for that amp I would assume not but due to all the computers in my jeep I want to make sure the voltage would be safe

Alright, read thru the pinned topic for this, seems easy enough..but im doing something wrong.. im usin an old school volt meter but it has "ACV 200 and ACV 500" .. i set it to ACV 200 (AC volts)..the amp is a Sundown SAZ1500D running at 1 ohm so... voltage = sqrt (1500 * 1) voltage = 38.72 ish.. can someone verify that please... so i pop in the 50hz test tone, loud off, bass boost off..volume to 3/4 and I stick the voltmeter to the outputs of the amp.. it tells me 2.8 and up to 5.something at full gain.. something is wrong just not sure what. appreciate any help.

As the title says this will be about the older fosgate 1000.1bd. Im not sure i understand the class"BD" thing? how does that compare to a regular just class D amp? Also im going to have to double check but im almost positive the SSF on the amp at its lowest setting is only 50hz, can that hurt me at all as far as sub performance? i have a box tuned in the 33hz area. just looking for any kind of technical answer to help understand this amp better and decide if it needs to be put up in the garage and replaced lol.
