Don't buy these TXA-6004s they are defectve amps that someone got ahold of. The heatsinks are too small and they have a bad thermistor causing them to overheat and die.

I've heard a lot of people complain about the same problem, but what do I do to solve it? If, I need to reground something, which wire/s go where? I'm not too knowledgeable about this nor did I install this on my own. My truck is an 06 Silverado

Hooking up a second battery is something I've never done. Do I run a wire from the starter battery to the secondary battery. Or do i run a wire from my alternator to the secondary battery. What kind of fuse do I use? More than 1 on each end? Thanks

Ok I just got my hifonics brutus 1600 mono amp, and I have a 13w7 (my sig). Its wired in series right now for a 3ohm load. Can I wire to .75 with this amp? Should I just push it at 3ohms? Using as a daily driver so I dont go too hard on it. Opinions? How much ouput would I get out of this?

is this the right configuration to achieve a 1 ohm load?

if i get a h/o alt do i have to change anything else on the car for it to handle the extra amps???

I want a cheap but decent head unit with an aux jack in the front... I went to several shops; they kept showing me Sony's. They were Xplodes; one had a USB jack in the front. For a second, I wanted one; I started to freak out. I don't like Sony; please help me.

Okay, my buddy just received his fi bl 18's. he has 2 of them running off an audiopipe 3000. They are both D1 ohm. Would i wire them in a series for them to be running @ 1 ohm from the amp or would i wire them parallel. AND after i figure that out how would i wire them in series and how would i wire them in parallel.

so my friend traded some stuff and got a sealed 10" menphis sub and a jensin amp. before he traded it i had the guy install it in his car to mak sure everything worked, which it all did and sounded fine. so he traded and after running wires in my friends car and plugged everything in the power light turns on, but when tested with my DMM there is no output in the speaker terminals... here is a googled page i found on the amp... could the rca's be bad? im pretty sure they are wired right deck is an alpine CDE-102 need any other info just ask... im lost haha

I just installed a Kicker 10"sub enclosure/ZX400.1 amp and 4 Kenwood 6.5 component sets in my 2000 Trans am running them off the stock Monsoon amp. I have an older Pioneer GM-H120 amp sitting around collecting dust. Specs aren't that much at: 4 x 30W @ 4 ohms (0.05% THD) 4 x 45W @ 2 ohms (0.05% THD) 2 x 90W @ 4 ohms bridged (0.05% THD) Would it be worth the trouble to replace the Monsoon with this? what type of fuse should i use for the amp to battery power wire (in an inline fuse holder from knuknoceptz). if this helps...the wire is 1/0 gauge, the amp is an saz 1500d, sub is going to be a bl15.

can you test voltage of RCAs with a DMM?

Hi I think i am going to get one 15" BTL because if i got 2 of them then i would need a new alternator, but can anyone tell me if i am going to need a larger alternator with just one 15" BTL along with a ton of power cells, or could i fly with just power cells to back it up. Also do you need a new receiver or can i be fine with a receiver and a line-out converter??

i have a kenwood h.u. that ive had for about 2 years not sure the model name(can get if needed) but it has the 2 preouts in back and usb and aux in the front. I was playing my ipod yesterday and all of a sudden it just stopped , so i unplugged it and tried it again and all it says is reading . i have tried both my ipods and that is not the problem, the aux works fine . any suggestions on how or what i can do to fix it?

my pioneer flip out had all of the preouts go out. I am looking for a nice headunit in the 300 dollar range. video is not necessary, but would be nice. I have a couple choices. I really like the eclipse cd-5000. I will not buy another pioneer. my other choice is a jvc kd-avx11 with a clarion eq to bump the preouts to 7volts. what would you guys do? I need higher voltage preouts and something that will sound good and last. I am going more for spl.

electrical system consists of 220 amp alt., 2 hc 2400 kinetik, and the big three completed. I have a 2000 blazer, box is built to vehicles peak tuning frequency. What would be the best amp to use for competition in the street 3 class for meca. Price of amp is not to much of an issue, just looking for something to get the most from the subs. All help would be appreciative.

I have a kenwood unit now that I like because of the iPhone interface and the front panel USB. Problem is that it only has 2.5 volt pre-outs. Dont really care of brand as long as it is name brand and reliable. Cd's are a no go as the vibration from the bass just ejects them now. So I'm looking for something that has USB and preferably iPhone compatible and has 4 volt pre outs. Open to all options and wanna stay around $250-$350ish range. Any help appreciated

Hey guys, I'm having trouble on deciding what amp would be best for this sub. The Me10.2 is a 10" DVC 2 ohm driver rated at 700W RMS, and I will probably run it at 4 ohms in a sealed enclosure ~1 cu ft. Whats a good value amp would you recommend that can run ~600W RMS @ 4 ohm load on stock electrics? Or should I run this sub at 1 ohm? Thanks, Lucas

I want to do a blow through in a 2006 f-150.I want to get 4 15" BTL fully loaded for daily at one ohm.( still dont have them) I plan to run them at 2500 rms each one to uptain 10,000 rms all toghther. I would like to know what amps would be good for these subs. I have read about Sundowm and US amps. They seem like good amps. I would like to know if there is any other kind to uptain all the best in all the aspets power,price,and warranty.

I sold my eclipse cd8445, so as of now I'm without a hu. I was gonna get the 780mp but most people say the 880prs has so many more features. The 880 is like 300 give or take a few bucks on ebay I believe...now...I know the carputer will be more money, but I've wanted to have one for a while now, and I'm thinking...why buy a 300 dollar hu, and then in a year or 6 months replace it with a carputer? How would this work with my setup? Would it sound as good as the 880? Basically I want It becuase I have like 30 gigs of songs on my pc, so I can just play them from the hd instead of having multiple cds. What do you guys think I should do? I've always been against it, because it seems like it would vibrate the living fuck out of the guts and possibly make parts become loose and resulting in the amp being faulty. BUT! I am tight on space, and might have to do so. So i was wondering if everyone who has done this before can tell me if their amp(s) had a problem, if so what problem and/or if the amp was fine. Please include name(s) of equipment! Thank you!

I am looking for a 4v preamp in dash dvd player. I have found a few nice kenwoods but they arent in dash dvds. I wanted a pioneer but it only has a 2v. Are there any solid 4v players that won't break the bank or am I just wasting my time looking?
