Is hifonics a good way to go for amps?

my pioneer flip out had all of the preouts go out. I am looking for a nice headunit in the 300 dollar range. video is not necessary, but would be nice. I have a couple choices. I really like the eclipse cd-5000. I will not buy another pioneer. my other choice is a jvc kd-avx11 with a clarion eq to bump the preouts to 7volts. what would you guys do? I need higher voltage preouts and something that will sound good and last. I am going more for spl.

Ok. So now im looking for a new battery. My current battery ratings are CA: 650 Amps CCA: 525 Amps. The battery (EverStart) is bad tho. I dont know If I want a battery that replaces the existing one, or if I shold just get one and put it in my trunk. The battery I have now still starts my car, but in the cold its very close to not starting it. I want a battery that will start my car fine in the cold, and that will eliminate my voltage drops (Down to 13v from 14.5v voltage drops now when I bump my system) to go with my HO alt (160 Amp). is this the right configuration to achieve a 1 ohm load?

Alright I just want to clear this up so I don't fry an amp. Here is how I will have my set up wired. What do I disconnect just the front battery negative? Or what? And do I take out all the fuses then plug in the postive to the amp and THEN negative ? I just want to make sure

What are the advantages or disadvantages of swapping air conditioiner for second alt ?

what type of fuse should i use for the amp to battery power wire (in an inline fuse holder from knuknoceptz). if this helps...the wire is 1/0 gauge, the amp is an saz 1500d, sub is going to be a bl15.

i think my alternator is dyin cause the voltage drops when im stopped...i need help on choosing a H/O alternator....how many amps also??

ok, the problem is there is a noticable humming noise comming from my t1500-1bd, and its from the amp, not speakers nor subs it is a high pitch noise, and the worst is that when i turn the bass knob, the bass is louders, but then suddenly you start hearing the pitch noice more, and distorts, thats when i need to lower the bass knobs any suggestions thanks

heey guys i have a Fibl 18un wiht cooling dual 10hm to a jbl gto1200 amp going at 1200watts rms. so orginally i set the gain by ear and had it at little less then 3/4s of the way. Then i set it using the voltmeter and play a 50hz tone with my radio volume 3/4 and i set it to 47 My math for it was 1200X2 then take square root u'd get around 49. but when i did that and played bass i love you at about little less then 3/4 it was barely flexing before it was just dancing adn it not as loud and it sounded like there was more stress on the sub. Got any advice?

So i bought a 1male to 2 female rca adapter from monster because this hu only has one output for subs...but for some reason i cant access the subwoofer controls or the dolby 4.1 settings on this thing...it appears only in ghost writting not in white...whats is wrong?

Driving my truck with the radio at an inaudible level. Subs just pop. Kinda like an amp with no soft on/off feature. Went to the back and looked at the voltage meter on my rear fuseblock by the 2nd batt. Reads 10.38v. And my subs have engine noise now. What happened? Its a 1991 ramcharger. 318, 220 A alt. And a red and yellow top.

Hey there guys i just had a quick question. Right now in my car i have a ssa zcon 15' d2 running off a sundown 2500@1ohm. I just wanted to know if its possible to run the zcon off the sundown @4ohms since the efficency is better and i am happy with 600rms since i will be buying a new car and i want less power but keeping the same equipment since i dont wanna sell/rebuy etc.

Im purchasing some 10 Dcon's soon. And was wondering which amp would be good to run 2 of them.

I'm in the market for a new HU(since the mazda 6 kit is almost out). Here are my requirements: - at least 4 volt pre-outs, including one for sub - crossover for sub/mid/hi - red illuminated buttons or at least majority red illumination - would like it to be a silver color to match my dash but not necessary - mp3 capability I'm trying to gauge my options right now, and no price limit.

Okay, let me start off by saying I've installed a countless number of CD players in cars. This is the first one I've had trouble with, and also my first Pioneer. I bought an 880 off of ebay a while back for about $200. I initially installed it in Octoberish. It would work fine when I normally had the car running, but when I switched my lights on it would cut in and out every second. I attributed this to a couple of wires being switched.
