My amp is going in to protect like 20-22 seconds in the song and is not even getting warm..Anyone know what that could be

Has anyone seen or have this.I would like to know if its worth the money.alil pricey for my taste

k, well i went and got a dual 30amp fuse power dist. block. i got questions that need sum answers. 1.) how do u wire up a capaciator with the dist. block? 2) and i was wondering if i need a fuse block as well? since the power dist. block has dual fuses then i thought that i wouldn't need that. 3.)how do u wire up 2 rcas from the deck to 2 amps? the deck only has one set of rcs. but i have 2 y spliters layin around. how would i hook them up? thanks.

I have an older(99-01timefame) lil wonder 4 that I have misplaced the crossover/filter sip chips for. Does anyone know if they are an electronics supply house item or will I need to contact Soundstream to replace them?

My head unit was fine yesterday morning, but yesterday afternoon it statrting going crazy. I get in the car and it has reset itself to factory settings. The clock was wrong, it was in demo mode, and my buttons under the touch screen were unresponsive. The open and power buttons worked but the unit would turn itself back on after I turned it off. The touch screen still works for all the functions, but it is restarting with factory settings everytime the key is turned off. Wiring is fine and wouldn't account for the loss of function to the buttons

Has anyone had the opportunity to use one of these amps? Cadence ZRS C-1 I am looking into upgrading mine, just trying to work with a budget. This amp is for sale for $389 free shipping. I am using a 18" IA DR New Edition in a 7.6qft enclosure tuned around 30-32HZ. Any advice or comments would be appreciated. Thanks JW

What is the difference between marine audio and car audio? Will the typical marine audio amplifier work in a car? Are their wny special considerations? Wiring? Air Circulation? Voltage? Thanks for the input.

I read around a bit and read a whole thread in here and went out and bought 35 feet of 3/0 for my car. This stuffs freakin huge. It looks like a black garden hose and makes my stinger expert look like a spaghetti noodle :-(

Anyone familiar with DBelectrical when it comes to alternators? I've never heard of them and was curious as to their quality. Please any input would greatly help.

Its a 2000 watt volfenhag amp. not sure of the exact model. i had it wired at 1 ohm, and from what i have read online the lowest it should be wired is 2 ohm. It started cutting off after 10 mins, then 5, then 2, then it stopped working. I took the cover off, to look for burnt pieces, but i found nothing. it all looked fine. now, what could cause this? can it be fixed cheaply? if not, could i repair a memphis pr 600 using this amps parts? im uploading pics now and yes, i know this is a POS amp, but currently im saving up to buy a fi btl then a sundown amp. ok, photobucket is being gay so ill get pics tomorrow.

2 sets= 4 mids, 4 tweets, and 2 crossovers I was looking at the Alpine PDX 100.4, But i want other suggestions. BTW, the amp must be a minimum of 4x100watts. Thanks for the help! Joe

hey guys i just drove back from work (i usually take the train) i was listening to my music the whole way home with the volume on 21 for almost 2 hours by the time i got home my sub was cutting in and out and when i got home the lcd screen on the amp said "hot " "77.9" degrees Celsius ( i knew it was before i looked) i know that my gains are not high, is that normal cause of the long duration? my stereo is an alpine cdx 9884 i believe goes to 35 max volume and my amp is a alpine mrd -m1005. what do you think guys? thanks again Billy

So I in the market in buying a 4 channel amp I need about 100 rms per channel going cheap on the amp crunch or MB quart. But my question was if i buy the amp i can use 2 channels for my front stage and can I leave the other 2 for a sub? And most amps are only bridgeable at 4 ohms so this means it is 20 ohms each channel? And my sub is a 4 ohm DVC so if i wire it 2 2ohms it going to be at 1 ohm? So what I'm saying is will I be able to run a front stage and a sub together?

Heres the scoop: I went to put my sub and amp in my car, and was having a hard time getting the box to fit, so I thought I better check everything out to make sure it worked, and the amp keeps going into a protection mode or something. Its a Memphis PR1000.1 I tried to contact the seller because he guaranteed not to be DOA but won't get a return. I guess thats what I get for buying off of ebay But anyways, I was wondering if people could give me some input on which would be a better amp for my Fi Q in a LSQ installation. i have two batteries and i have a fosgate 1500x1 i was wondering that if i ran just the two batteries would i be fine for a couple of months?

ok, the problem is there is a noticable humming noise comming from my t1500-1bd, and its from the amp, not speakers nor subs it is a high pitch noise, and the worst is that when i turn the bass knob, the bass is louders, but then suddenly you start hearing the pitch noice more, and distorts, thats when i need to lower the bass knobs any suggestions thanks

First DIY battery bank for my daily 2ssa evil 18 taramp md8k 320amp alt. This bank will be dedicated for the audio ONLY.. My question is had anybody had any luck or first hand experience with these?

I would like to know what makes a alternaor company good verses a crappy one? What makes it charge at 14.4, what determines amps at idle, etc etc. etc.? Basically the innerworkings of a alternator. Would a rebuild kit be better?

Hey ok i have a question about multliple runs of wire from a battery in front to batter in rear to amp. Would i just go from + on batery in front to + on battery in back, and - from battery in front to - in battery in back the + from battery in back to + in amp, and - on battery in back to - on amp. Then ground the neg at front. Heres a pic of what i mean (the boxs on the + wire are fuses) Also say i wanted to do two runs of 1/0 would i do 2 + and 2 negatives between the batterys and then just do 1 run of 1/0 to the amp? will a 130amp alternator suffice for a SSA ZCON 15 D1 either at .5 or 1ohm on a Crescendo bc200D and some other goodies down the road or would a 200amp alt be better

I have 2 15" dual Voice Coil Subs. The Subs Are each 2 ohms. Im wondering how can I get a 1 ohm load by wiring them then also how can I get a 2 ohm load. Pictures would help. Thank You
