I just visited the Db-R online store,and noticed they sell new products as well as refurbs. Has anyone bought from them ,and do refurbished amps used upgraded parts or originals ? And are they reliable after being repaired? Thanks !

So, I'm currently in the process of setting my gains for my 4 channel amp and mono amp. I've been researching on how to properly set your gains using a digital multimeter, and it seems like every forum and website tells you a different way to do it. The SSA forum stood out to me and made the most sense about gain setting, but it still left me with a few questions. My first question is should i set my gains for the 4 channel amp first or the mono, or does it even matter? When i set my gains for the 4 channel amp i will be using a 0 dB 1000Hz test tone, but what i'm not sure of is what settings should i use for my head unit? A lot of people say to set everything to 0. hi guys, i know alot has been ask about this 2 HU's, more often discussed on, "it looks fugly", "it has better tuning capabilities", "it has this pico fuse prob" and many more... frankly now i know i cant get the best HU i want due to cost so i have to get the best i can do with my current budget... So I hooked back up my amplifier today and when I turned the headunit on and played some music I realized that no bass was coming from my subwoofer and my amp was in protect mode. I also noticed that my lights would flicker and dim and why voltage dropped to like 12 volts. Any suggestions to what the problem may be?

I currently have a P550MP (see sig) its a premier line, wma/mp3 capable, i believe 2.2V outputs (3 total) etc. etc. and was wondering if it would be worth it in SQ and features and just overall to spend the money to upgrade HU's? i would be buying the 860 used so i would be paying 200 ish...thanx for all the help...

Im running a crescendo 3500bc at .5ohm looking to make shure im getting the most power with the least resistance, trying to invest in dual 1/0gauge inputs but unsure which one's will fit. Anyone worked with AudioQue before? They have impressive stats but what do you get for the seemingly impossibly cheap price? I want to unload my old school Lanzar Opti 50C for something better for my BTL 18 but I don't want to spend a ton either. I know power is coming down in price but I don't want a piece of chit that falls on it's face when I need to feed my sub what it needs.

Alright so I am wondering which amp would be better for my setup. The SAZ 1000 or SAE 1200 hooked up to a BL 15 wired at 1 ohm? I know the SAZ is more of a performance amp and the SAE is more commercial I guess. But which one would power the BL better and not cause me to worry about blowing my sub or frying my amp?

what is the pre amp voltage in deck do? what would be the difference between getting a 4 volt pre amp deck and a 5 volt pre amp?

Can using a bass knob cause damage? If so, to what extent. Should I go ahead & set my gains to what my bass knob would normally be? And finally, what exactly does the bass knob effect? Does it stay within the preset gains? I like being able to turn it down with just that little knob, or turn it up when I want to blare it. I was thinking of setting it all the way up, then the gain to where it gets the right AC Voltage, would it be fine?

Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Ok guys I'm looking for some advice towards the two topics as stated in the title. I'm running a sundown Sae-1200d and an FI bl 18". Currently stock alt , stock batt, all 1/0 ga wire and batt neg to chassis ground in 1/0. I'm initially looking to put a new battery up front or (possibly in the back) but the new batt would be running of the stock alt for while whether it be in the trunk with the stock batt up front or the new batt up front solo. I just purchased two eclipsee 88120 subs in a dual chambered custom box in which each chamber is tuned to 34 hz. The subs are dual 4 ohm, so they can be wired down to a 1 ohm load together. But, since the box is dual chambered, I would have to remove the ports and drill through the divider, which I would rather not do, to achieve this 1 ohm load. If I were to wire each sub down to 2 ohms at its own speaker terminal, filling both terminals, what would be the end impedance for both drivers?

My head unit was fine yesterday morning, but yesterday afternoon it statrting going crazy. I get in the car and it has reset itself to factory settings. The clock was wrong, it was in demo mode, and my buttons under the touch screen were unresponsive. The open and power buttons worked but the unit would turn itself back on after I turned it off. The touch screen still works for all the functions, but it is restarting with factory settings everytime the key is turned off. Wiring is fine and wouldn't account for the loss of function to the buttons

I install a lot of aftermarket cd-players for my friend because he owns a car lot and having a website that would show me what is what would really speed things up.
