i was wondering what amp would be good to run my 15'' old school stroker with,it's a dual 4 ohm so i need suggestions for a 2 ohm load .

Ok my subs are set to never really pop or clip unless you put alot of gain up i have my gain set right according to the dmm set at 43 volts Running a sundown 1500d at 1.5 - 2 ohms. Well i know its not the subs they can take a harder beating by mean turning the gain up higher just distorting them a lil bit so thats not the problem. The popping seems to only happen when on the highway with all windows down doesnt do it when in the city with windows down. So what is the problem here? I have the volume the same spot on samg song in the city and nothing happens. Can someone help me out with this.

I saw a link that Ryan posted in the ihop for a Directed 1100d5 that does 75x4 at 4 ohms and 600x1 at 1 ohm on the sub channel. It doesn't say anything about bridging the amp, but I was wondering if the amp would work if I wired it to where the left side was on 2 channels of the amp and the right channel was on 2 channels of the amp. This would be kind of like bridging it, but running a wire in all 4 pieces. I think if I bridge it, it would put out too much power. Has anyone ever done this? It is sounding like it won't work or will be bad for the amp, but I am not sure.

Not sure if anyone is really interested, but I got this today. It was a service drop off, we repaired the RCA inputs and the customer never came back. So it's going home with me. I've got some connections who can do a little something for me so we're going to cut a plexiglass sheet for the front and cut outs for the display and the fans, probably going to upgrade the fans and get the whole thing powdercoated.

Well on my way to class i smelt something odd... thought it was the dump i was driving past. i pull in to CSN and i see smoke go by my face... so i turn around and my whole trunk is in smoke.... now aparently my ground was bad (pops said too much current). ran 2 amps into 1 ground, just tapped into one amp ground to get them both going (Ground was VERY HOT when the smoke appeared). So i went to Lowes and picked up some 1 gauge and it dont fit in my amp terminal. so i grabed some 2 gauge... FITS... yet the wire is VERY stiff and i cannot find any Ring Lug Connections for 2 gauge so i grabed some bolt connector things.... yet it does not give me a secure connection and i wi…

How do you measure the actual output of an amp in watts? I remember my friend Aubrey telling me how, but cant find the info again. Im trying to figure out what my 601S Rockford Fosgate Amp puts out. It says 600 rms, and 1800 peak, which is strange for the peak to be so much higher, but anyways I've also heard that RF underrates their amps substantially like Kicker does. So my question again is how do I measure the power an amp puts out?

I'm in the market for a new HU(since the mazda 6 kit is almost out). Here are my requirements: - at least 4 volt pre-outs, including one for sub - crossover for sub/mid/hi - red illuminated buttons or at least majority red illumination - would like it to be a silver color to match my dash but not necessary - mp3 capability I'm trying to gauge my options right now, and no price limit.

I am looking at getting a Sundown 3000D and a 100.4, I have a stock 110 amp alternator but I think the car uses most of it because it has a lot of electronic crap. So would I be fine maybe getting like two deep cycle batteries one for starter and one for system and running a isolator, or am I gonna have to get a HO alternator? The only way I can get an alternator is to get it custom made and I'm sure that won't be cheap. I have a 2000 Buick Lesabre with a 3.8, if anyone can find an alternator for that car at the size I need then I would be grateful but I have searched everywhere and can not find one. Alright, so sold off everything from old substage, well actually sold half of it, other half got stolen. Anyway will be running 2 1500d's on 3 SA-12's, and backing them on the electrical side will be a kinetik hc2000, hc1400, and optima blue top under the hood. right now alty is a small upgraded 120a. I am saving up for a real nice 200 a 240 peak custom valeo from ohio generator. Now the real question is this. I want to charge batteries to 15volts. right now with the optima, and two kinetiks that is a total of 4500 battery amps and 162 ah from kinetiks and I believe 55 ah on the optima blue top so 217ah total. Got my DIYMA 8ga today. I bought two rolls with the 50% off coupon. It took about a week to get. Which honestly surprised me because I know they sold a bunch of when they started the sale. This is my second transaction with DIYMA.com Both have gone smoothly. My likes of the wire: It's silver tinned CCA(great for corrosion resistance) Of course over sized. Its nice and flexy. Does anyone have an info for me on a replacement gain knob for the audiopipe 1500 amp's? Up till today this amp has been great but it seems the wires inside have came loose and im not the type to bust it open and put it back together.. This isnt my amp its in a good friends car. I have sent emails to the company with no response. Any suggestions? the knob plugs in with a "headphone" looking jack, not the phone cable looking one.
