Alright so I have a 95 Saturn sl2. I as wondering what to do with my power cable because I cannot fit It in between the negative terminal and the actual battery. So instead I have my power connected to my fuse box which..in my mind is putting so much less power and just not as hood as the direct connection to the battery. Is there like an extension to my terminal I can get or what should I do about this.. Sorry for bad Typing..using my phone

hi, i am wondering which amp would be better, i will be running my front stage with one of the other and it will be active but the processor will be my hu ( alpine cda 9887). ok here are the choices: new Eclipse Xa4000 bought online so an iffy warrenty. or a B stock sax100.4b that the bottom of the amp is slightly dented but has a 1 year warrenty with sundown.

I have decided to go with 2 FI Q-12 what advice would you give for the amp around $500 I had thoughts of a ZRS-8000D or a GP3000D-pro and ideals, Thanks

Someone is selling it for $400. I wanted to know what is anyones experience or info in regards to this amp. I was not able to find anythingthrough google or yahoo.

Hey this is my first post, and off the bat let me say I am no audio genius nor am I close. I was refered here by Helotaxi, and I'm sure you guys can answer any questions I have. So that said, I am in the market for a Audio/Video head unit, that has Ipod control, mp3,cds, and all that good stuff. Someone on my car forums (SRTForums.com) was selling a Pioneer AVH 57000 I believe for 500$. It has the ipod adapter already, and the switch so you can watch while on the road. Anyways I was wondering if you guys could point me in the direction of a great AV unit for around that price, or if you have any tips or anything else. Thanks You. -Mykel

I have a JL 500/5 which is 100 rms ch 1 & 2 and 25 rms ch 3 & 4 I am thinking of using it to run my bravox cs60cf active. My biggest question is what should i do about the rear should i amplify the rear speakers (bravox cx60cf) or run them off the deck. The reason I ask is because I also have a JL e4300 4 channel amp. I have heard some people say dont amp the rears and some say you should amp them and i don't know what to do yet any help would be cool.

I'm installing a Kicker tc104 sub in my trans am and have a choice from 2 amps, either a old school Autotek 7100bts or a Kicker ZX400.1 I just picked up. Which one would you prefer to use? I'm not trying to blow the windows out or anything, just trying to get some better sounds over the stock setup. Thanks for any input you may have.

I currently drive a 2013 Dodge Avenger R/T with the 3.6liter V6 and I have 2 JL 13w7's, 2 HD1200/1's, Alpine 137bt HU, with Alpine 200watt power pack running JL C2 61/2's in front and C2 6x9's in rear and stock 31/2's in my dash and I also have a audio 1000 watt capable battery in my trunk wired in with the factory batt. As of right now I'm only running 1 sub and 1 amp and I wandering what kind of electrical upgrades I would need to run both sets for 2600watts that's 2 amps and the power pack together. I'm gonna do the big 3 and add another 1000 watt capable battery, do you guys think this would be enough, or would I need a high output alternator as well. I pretty sure …

I have been reading around on some build logs and people are saying that they have an amplifier that is "clamped". What does this mean? I have been googling around with no luck (so far).

why do people think you have to use the same brand amp as the driver?

Greetings out there. I have read many write ups and seen many videos about using test tones to set your amp gains with an o-scope. My question is when setting bass amp gains does it matter if you use a 40Hz tone over a 50Hz tone? Each topic on this has used a different tone but never told why. For those who dont know.. yes I am a so please inform me if there is a difference. Thanks..

i have a brz1700.1 powering a 15" Fi BL fully loaded, and ill be adding a 4ch. soon for my 6 1/2 and 6x9's..my stock alt is 105amps and i have a stock battery.. will i need to get a new alt and battery???.. or do yall think ill be just fine with what i have already??? the system isnt installed yet still waiting on a few things to in...?

Like the topic says. If I'm going for a good SQ out of a sub, does the sound quality suffer if I'm running them at a lower ohm load like 2, 1 or .5ohms (as opposed to 4ohms). I'm looking to start up my wife's car with a SQ system and want to match subs and amps for good sq. Thanks guys.

I just put an MTX 704 in my truck for the speakers and a Kicker ZX300.1 for the 2 8" subs. My question is, the 704 has buttons to turn the high pass and low pass filters on/off, which should be on and which should be off? I tink I currently have the high pass on and the low pass off. Here in my next build, I'm going with 4 batteries, but am unsure about which to use. I'm going to be building a wall in my 2 door Chrysler Sebring....2 Sundown Audio 3000D's, 1 15" custom Nightshade(lil bit of tweaking) and a Sundown Audio 100.4 for component set. I'm running all 0 gauge Kicker Hyperflex wiring, Optima Yellow Top up front with big 3 done with the only alternator available for my vehicle...a Load Boss 160 Amp alternator. My question being....I know of all these battery companies....and I've used Kinetik but want to go a different route. Just curious about this amp, I found it online, but not many reviews. It's also in the SSA store. Looks sick, but no reviews there either. Anyone heard one, seen one, smelled one, etc. lol.

So I have two zv4 18s d2s...original plans was to strap afew 2ks on them at 2 ohms but ran across and almost forgot about the 4601ds which are 0.5 stable...I know the opti7001ds do rated i had a popcorn 6k "Same amp". I have heard that a big solid chunk of wire has alot of resistance so thinking along those lines I was wondering if using a wire adapter was bad or not.
